Transferring from Nexus S to G2X - T-Mobile LG G2x

All I have to do to keep my apps, is to use Titanium Backup? Anything else I need to do? I'm going to backup over to laptop to make sure nothing goes bad.

Dont back up system apps! that makes everything go bonkers !

Yup, no system apps. But my regular apps can be restored with data?

Absolutely, did it when I came from a Vibrant. Just copy the Titanium Backup Folder and move it to the built in memory on the G2x.

[Q] How to get apps and data from Captivate?

I'm getting ready to change to an Inspire from a captivate, and I was wondering how to get my apps and their data to the Inspire. Is TiBu viable once rooted with sideloading or what?
Titanium backup should work if you are rooted. That's what I plan on using when I switch phones again.

Titanium backup

I have titanium backup and I'm planning to do a reset, but will all my game data (in gun bros) be saved or only that apk? Any program that can do that?

Yes titanium backup backs up apk as well as data
Do i need the paid version for that?

the free version backs everything up. I think the paid version gives you some extra options, like backup to dropbox and automates restores without intervention. definitely recommended to pay for it. Its the one app that you will use consistently when flashing roms
Thanks alot

Titanium box

I can't seem to grab my files, more importantly my game saves from drop box. Anyone else having this issue? I backed up with titanium and rooted etc.

Backup App of Choice

So I've been using Titanium backup for as long as I can remember, but I've been reading about Koush's Carbon Backup and am curious of any of you have experience with it and if you recommend it over TiBu. I have the free version and love the UI but am hesitant to pull the trigger on the premium. Your thoughts?

Love the wu- tang avatar.
Titanium here but carbon looks good. No root too, I bet a ton more people will use it. Koush is a good and very smart dev.
Here's a funny little story about him.

There is also super backup and clean master.
Does anything offer flashable zip like Titanium Backup?

Never had and issues with Titanium. Does a perfect job. The batch function is worth the little money to invest for the pro version

I've been having tons of issues with the Batch function here lately.

Play core app

I have my phone rooted and I want to get rid of some core apps like Google Earth... Is there an app to erase them apps or another way?

best bet is freeze them with titanium backup. That way when you realise you broke something, you just defrost it rather than having to reflash a rom
