Today I tried to install Gingerbread 2.3 to my Milestone 2 (Droid 2) and the attempt was a severe failure. Tried Hard Reset. Unable to do it. ยด
Can anyone say me how to recover from Rom Manager (But unfortunately not able to get my mobile started)
When ever I try to hard reset all I see is fickering of Moto logo just once on the screen and thats it. then the screen remains blank after that.
However, finally pressed the home+camera+volume down+power
and its showing
Bootloader 70.12
Battery OK
OK to Program
Transfer Mode: USB
Have no idea what it means or wat to do. Totally new to rooted phone applications.
Could you plzzz help me out.
Any tips?
I am really frozen. Just a couple of weeks old.
I googled a lot of options. Everything was a failure.
Desperately searching for help!

I have a nexus s i9023, it was running well with 2.3.4 for three months. Got an OTA update for 2.3.6 two days ago, installed it.Im running stock, and the root is locked.
Everything seemed to be running fine on 2.3.6 when last night it just stopped responding and freezing. Taking battery out doesnt help, it again freezes at the colorful x logo or at the unlock screen.
I read on how to do a reset, but pressing volume down and power button gives me only a flash of blacklight (for a millisecond) and then nothing happens. tried it many times. What am I doing wrong?
Pressing volume up and power button gives me a fastboot menu, and recovery mode only gives me an exclamation mark android, then I have to take battery out again. I cannot mount the sd card or do anything else.
Any help or solution is most appreciated guys. Salute.
When you get to recovery, press again power+volume up (i think so), and you'll get some options. You can make factory reset there (as i can remember).
Also, there are many guides here on how to root and flash custom recovery via fastboot.
Check this out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007782
Just follow it, and when you flash custom recovery, you will be able to mount SD card, flash any ROM etc...
Good luck ...
i have the exacly same problem and i already try full wipe, install other ROM like oxygen and i cant pass the main logo... it's frozing all the time and i need pick up the battery to turn it off... :S
someone can help?
Allright, well I am a new andriod user, and about a month or so ago i rooted my phone. I am very technology minded. Found a page that showed me how to do it and a link to a doanload for a folder with the needed files. Anyways I have a lg optimus lte through bell. Yes I am in canada. So last week i decided to unroot my phone seeing as I wasnt using the super user features that I put on the phone. Needless to say now my wifi will not turn on and I have followed to the letter the instructions on how to factory reset the phone and when I do, i get to the factory reset part, hit the power button twice and then the screen flashes to the lg splash screen and just sits there frozen. I do a battery pull and the phone works but it is still not reset or rooted. Anyways what I am trying to say is i need some help reseting this phone back to factory so i can get full use out of it. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hello. I Was wondering if someone can help me with a dilemma......... i recently got my mega a month ago. I then decided to root my mega (As i do with all my android devices)The rooting process worked out great. The phone booted.....Everything's all peachy! root was successful! After about 3 weeks i wanted to record my screen. By the way i was running kitkat on my mega. So i installed a screen recording program. i wanted to record the screen so i started the recording..... but it wasnt recording. it kept saying an error message i think it when like gpu is not supported and change to cpu something like that! i thought nothing of it... so i changed the settings to gpu then to cpu (Not knowing what i was doing) after it failed to record again i threw the towel in and quit. i then played one of my mobile games(FNAF2) after i lost the game i went back to the homescreen and the homescreen was acting up... it was in landscape mode when i had the phone upright. it was bugging me to the point where i just rebooted my device. i tried rebooting my device BUT IT WAS IN A BOOTLOOP! i had no idea what was going on. So i tried to restore the backup and it was restored but it was still in a bootloop. at this point i was freaking out! when i went home that day i put the device in download mode and flashed the stock firmware but it failed and didnt work. but when the phone rebooted it booted up and my phone was on activation screen and it was in a different language. then i soon found out that my touchscreen wasnt responding! neither was the home button or back button. i really dont know whats going on. kies does not work i tried emergency firmware initializing and kies didnt read it i tried reinstalling kies and my phones drivers 4 times and it was a no go...... but i finally found a english firmware and i flashed it but it failed and said something like dev_not supported or something so that didnt work either..... i booted up my phone and the language was back to english and my touchscreen wasnt working neither was my home buttons or anything. i also tried installing custom roms but everytime i try to install them it says it completed installing but when i boot up my phone its the same activation screen. i really need help anything that can help will be greatly appreciated. also everytime i boot up it always says set warranty bit:Kernal
Hello guys,
some days ago my phone was permantly booting up in the recovery mode nothing else was possible. As I was on road and couldn't access internet anywhere I just tried to do some wipes, which then made my phone not show anything. I guess the reason that it didn't boot up anymore was that the battery was fully drained. When I was finally back home I was able to charge my phone but then the following happend:
I can start my OPO, see the android logo and then it turns black, but it fully boots up. I mean I can even click the touchscreen and hear some touch reactions/sounds. Also I'm able to turn up/down the volume and hear my phone. Furthermore I'm also able to do the "V-gesture" to turn on the flashlight. When I boot up into fastboot mode I also see the message "fastboot mode" + the little cyanogen face.
All in all everything seems to work, aside that I dont see anything else than dark after the logo.
I tried flashing new roms, stock reset, like seriously anything, but I can't get my phone to work probably again.
Does that mean that my phone got some hardware problems, maybe the touchscreen?
Help is appreciated, thanks in advance!
btw: English isn't my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.
You'll have to try flashing completely stock CM11 rom or CM12 rom, img by img in fastboot..modem, boot, system etc. I helped a friend who had this kind of problem. Probably not the cleanest way, but at least it works.
Already did that 3times using different methods. Stock CM11, CM12 and colorOS
I have a similar problem, did you manage to fix it? And if so, how?
Thanks,
Capelare.
I've had my S7 since March. Worked flawlessly until around 2 weeks back. The first issue I got was that the phone stopped responding. I haven't linked that to any specific application. It happened at random. So the phone freezes and screen goes black. I used the Power button + Lower Volume button to power up the phone again and it worked. But then the no response problem happened more often. So I decided to go for a factory reset. I did this using recovery. But I continued to get the freezing issue. And the last time I got it was a few hours ago. But this time when I used the power button+ down volume button, the phone got stuck in a boot loop. I managed to bring up recovery to power down the phone. When I booted into recovery, I got the a dead android logo with a yellow exclamation mark in a triangle. I tried to power up my phone back, but it again got stuck in a boot loop. I know I can resolve this situation by doing a reset again. But I suppose this is not the solution as I will continue to get the freezing and not responding problem again.
Any advice please?
Thank you.

Hi mate
after you factory reset it , did you use the phone for a while without restoring any app?..so you are sure is not an app making the mess
My first option would be flash ( odin) firmware again.....
Check his guide
Use home_csc instead of CSC so you do not lose anything
I actually didn't restore any app after reset. I rather re-installed only 2 apps I use most. And I've been using these apps since I started using my mobile. I don't think they could be responsible for the crashes.
If I have to flash, I've been wondering if I could have a go at Nougat.
Would that be a good idea?

Hi
Yes you can flash nougat, seems to be stable......but still is a Beta version
Hi
I got the same problem ... did you find any solution for this problem ??
Replacing motherboard fixes this issue. Its not software related. Faulty board. With Nougat this will happen even more. I know because happened to me..
ohhh
how much did cost you for that ?
