Hi to all! I did a big mistake and now don't know what to do. I had cyanogen mod 7 RC1 installed, but wanted to go back to my original froyo. I did all these steps
Install ClockworkMod recovery (using fastboot is the easiest way).
Boot into recovery using the 3-button combo
Do a backup!
WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
Install the ROM from the SD card using ClockworkMod Recovery
Optionally install the Google Addon

, but when I tried to install the old os, my ohone showed something like "bad" and didn't want to install it. Now I'm stuck with no solutions. When I try to boot into recovery it just shows "update failed" and cannot proceed. Now what?
Thanks in advance!
Well, I was able to boot normal finally. I think I'm going to repair it now!
Hey everyone, I need help for my Xoom 3G MZ601, I just rooted it and flashed EOS' rom and I'm stuck at bootanimation. I'm new to rooting and flashing custom roms for tablets, its different in phones.
When you say you are stuck, what have you tried to do? Have you tried to get back into your custom recovery? If you can, you could try to reflash your rom and gapps after wiping cache and dalvik cache. You would have your system wiped when you unlocked, but you could wipe again before reflashing...that might help.
Yes, I wiped everything, I did this 5 times and the same thing happens, stuck in bootanim.

1. Do you have a backup of your stock rom? if you have a backup and recovery works you should be able to recover your stock system and everything will be allright.
2. If you don't have a backup enter this site motodev site (i can't post any links) download correct firmware for your device and flash every part of downloaded rom via fastboot.
I hope it will help you
It seems like your recovery img is the culprit, try downloading eos with goomanager..
try; adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery eos-recovery-r6.img http://goo.im/devs/teameos/recoveries/wingray/eos-recovery-r6-softkeys.img or http://goo.im/devs/teameos/recoveries/wingray/eos-recovery-r6.img
adb reboot recovery
i managed to root my friends phone..i backed up my friends stock rooted rom and began flashing another rom...it got stuck on the splash screen for a half an hour, then we wiped the phone and flashed another rom...still no dice. so i decided to restore his old rom...it booted once, then rebooted again and now its in a non stop boot loop. ive tried just data factory reset, wiping cache, and dalvik, and its still boot looping..wtf do i do, i literally have no other options

btw this guide applies to all roms not just ICS
jist: Take the boot.img out of the rom zip. and type the command in a cmd window running in the same folder as the boot.img
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
Make sure you have ADB & Fastboot installed

i typed fastboot reboot and it booted the gingerbread rom i had and its still boot looping...how do i go to recovery to flash the miui rom so it can actually boot...im s-on and unlocked. i can get as far as fast boot boot.img and it saying OKAY while im in the bootloader..just dont know what to do next..
You did install clockworkmod recovery, right? If so, just yank the battery then put it back in. Hold the volume down button and power at the same time, you'll enter the bootloader (make sure not to have the phone plugged in while doing this or it won't work). Press volume down till you highlight Recovery, then press power to enter it.

weekends should have my wipe scripts back up for me in another day or two, they are in the batch of files i'm sending him tonight. May help with stuff like this in the future to give a clean start.
I rooted the phone following the steps here on the xda thread and I tried afterwards upgrading the firmware to ics. I followed these instructions http://www.android.gs/update-htc-one...-firmware-rom/ and afterwards my phone just keeps restarting and restarting. I didn't make a recover image because I was too confident that it was going to work. Afterwards I panicked and pressed factory reset, thinking everything will turn back to normal. I lost all the files I saved onto the sd card and I don't know what to do now. I can't even use the all in one kit. Please help, I greatly appreciate it
If you can't get into bootloader/fastboot anymore, you're bricked. I would not know how to revive it. Otherwise, you're not bricked.
You need a functioning recovery. You can flash it in fastboot if you're unlocked.
If you have successfully flashed a recovery but you can't boot into recovery, try erasing your cache from fastboot:
fastboot erase cache
If you can boot into fastboot, make sure you can mount your sdcard partition. I don't mean mount it onto your computer over USB, but just mount it onto the root filesystem.
If you can not mout your sdcard partition, go to the sticky in Q&A on fixing unmountable sdcard. It involves flashing a stock recovery and clearing storage in bootloader. If you had to do this, flash your custom recovery back and confirm you can now mount your sdcard partition.
Now that you have a functioning recovery and a mountable sdcard, you're good to adb push a rom to your sdcard and flash it in recovery. I suggest you format system, data, and cache first. You probably need to flash the boot image that comes with the rom from fastboot.

I am a beginner in all this flashing things
I want to root my nexus5
So i saw a thread and was doing the same
I first unlocked my bootloader
Then i have to reboot my phone
But i didnt reboot and flashed twrp.img just after unlocking the bootloader
Now my phone is stuck on bootloop
When i turn on the phone
It shows the google bootlogo screen and shuts off and keep repeating the same
I need help
What to do
Please anyone help
Flash a stock recovery and then perform a factory wipe. If that doesn't work, reflash the entire factory image, perform a wipe in stock recovery, and reboot.
