[Q] Notification bar icons... too damn dark! - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I don't know what possessed Google to make the honeycomb theme so dark, but I can barely see the notification icons - it's like they are at 25% brightness compared with the back/home/apps switcher icons.
Is there a hack or something to brighten those up??

Yes many. Here is a post I made for the new Power control with 4G themed. It has a transparent dropdown and a semi(top half) transparent task bar background.

Status bar clock color

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can find the .Pngs for the clock in the status bar? I recently started using ninjamorph to change colors and images out and that damn white clock is holding back a all red and black gears of war theme I'm trying to put together.

Notification icons

Anybody have any custom notification icons they would be willing to share? I've only changed my battery icon

how did you change your battery icon, and what did you change it to? I'm interested in changing mine, but can't find anything on how to do it.
I downloaded the icon from droidpirate.com and applied it with metamorph. I did have to do some editing though. The intervals that the stock icon goes in isn't the same as the icons I found so it would switch from stock to custom. I posted a screenshot of what it looks like

Status bar transparency mod?

Is there some type of mod that will change the transparency of the expanded notification drawer? I am running OMG themes and would love to be able to make the status bar and pulldown transparent like you can do with kinda crap. I've tried running kinda crap over OMG but it then loses a lot of the theme. Just curious if there is something else that I can run over OMG

Transparent bar VANISHING

I was happy to see transparent bar when i got my s4.... but i noticed smthng strange lately
when we use stock wallpapers the transparent bar kicks in and the moment we use non-stock wallpapers the bar changes to non transparent..
see images....any suggestions

Yeah this kinds sucks but my thinking is that Samsung did it this way otherwise they would have a load of calls saying that all my status icons have vanished because someone has used a light grey wallpaper....
Just noticed that too.....not good.....hopefully samsung changes this

For what I've tried the transparent bar onky works with stock live and regular wallpapers. It's kinda of a bummer Samsung did it this way.

Its actually completely understandable.
If the wallpaper was the same colour as your notification icons you wouldnt be able to see anything.
its quite cool that they put the transparent feature in there for their wallpapers.
Mebbe a later update will give you the option by asking if you want transparent notification bar ... or the other option is to find a decent developer web site where people are ingenious and helpful and will do this for you .... oh hang on ....... look at the URL!
