I have added the screenshots
I use GTasks a lot and its very usefull. Appreciate the new UI changes.
I like this app and use it for quite a time now..
It´s a good thing lot of colors are in drawable.xml´s and not as png´s
problem:
- apps layout (colors) is hardcoded in layout folder, which is not accessible through t-mo theme engine.
Could you redirect the colors, like you did with the widgets to drawable.xml´s, so one could theme it too
I love this app - it's been too long dealing with inferior task apps.
Wasn't there some rule against posting app advertisements on XDA unless you are also providing the app for free to xda? I vaguely remember something like that, but I can't find it.
There is a free version ...

Was that the stipulation? Ok, my bad, nevermind. Free version is ad-supported, so I wasn't sure. It just said "Do not post press releases, announcements, links to trial software, or commercial services. unless you’re posting an exclusive release for XDA-Developers.com."
In any case, the app is great, and I sent links to it to people I know with android phones a week or so ago when I discovered it. I wish more apps would do data/account syncing correctly like this one does - I hate the apps that just send you to a webpage or make you enter a name and password.
Looks neat, syncs well with google task.
best gtasks app
im using this long time and its finaly geting really nice updates! keep up good work!
suggestions:
- improve widget
- custom colors text / BG i like it transparent
- scrollable widget
- sync now button
- add option to chose sync interval
new UI is really nice!!!
Ah! Nice to see this mentioned here, I have been using it for a long while as well! Regarding the recent UI changes, the only minor issue I have is the sync animation is very close in colour to the colour of the top bar of the app, so sometimes its really hard to see when its syncing - particularly outside in sunshine.
One other question that I have been meaning to ask almost as long as I have been using it is: does it only sync if you have the app open, or the widget running ?
Although I have it set up to Auto Sync, I don't use the widget as I have the tasks displayed in the Android Agenda Widget along with all my calendar entries. I find I then have to manually sync via the app to update the agenda widget after any changes via Google Calendar, if you see what I mean!

The sync animation is the default of android progress bar, it might be hard to see clearly in some custom roms.
By now, auto sync means the app will sync when something changed locally, add/delete/edit a task or tasklist. The widget will not update if you changed via web or some other way out of GTasks, for the app won't pull data from server automatically. We will consider that.

This is just the standard 2.3.3 release Samsung just sent out for the SGS. The sync animation looks to be black, or dark grey at least. It was the same on 2.2 on the SGS as as well. Its no problem, I just thought I'd mention it

Very good app
Very good app. I use everyday and I have 6 widgets in my workspace.
I have only one suggestion: create more widgets with bigger size, we have 4x1 and 4x2. And sometimes I have some lists with hundreds of items.
Thanks!

Sorry
of course it´s themeable, my bad, I just did it wrong! - thanx and done!
I just added some tasks to my Google tasks using my pc browser and noticed there is no way to add a due date with a specific time. Is there any way you can incorporate this into your app or no because it isn't native to Google tasks?
TIA
I've been using this app/widget for a while, coming from Astrid.
I must say it's here to stay!
Plus, the developer reads and answer your emails! Amazing!

Google Play link here
really complex...it has everything I normally use with 2 or three programs.
Thank you. I will let you know for bugs.
It force closes on my NS running SuperOSR.
really good app, and does replace all the 4 apps or acts as generic interface for 4 diff things. Tested on HTC Desire HD 2.3.3
App wasn't available in the Market for me on SGSII (2.3.4). I got it downloaded via a roundabout method and have now gone 'pro'.
Excellent work! I like this alot and will be recommending.
Thank you.
EDIT: Under Apk Manager, apps I have frozen with other apps (e.g. Titanium) do not show up as frozen in Advanced Tools Pro. Just for your information
EDIT 2: Yesterday it was working well, just FCs constantly when trying to open the app today I have to clear the app's cache and data to get it to run.
Thank you all for your replies.
@nobnut
Thank you so much!
About the the problem you had, atm i'm working to get a better support for 2.3.4 and 2.3.5,
several FCs has been reported on these 2 versions.
Just a question, do you remember which was the last tool opened before the FCs?
Thank you
I just released an update (version 1.11), it should fix the FCs' problems encountered on some devices/ROMs.
@nobnut: pretty sure this works well for you
How does this compare to the superb Android Optimizer which i downloaded on here about 2 months ago?

New version 1.65

Some root features were lost. This new update will fix the issue.
(edit: nevermind, new version is coming!)
Huge update -- version 1.7

Note about the "CIQ detector", it's still a bit experimental but it should work, surely is not accurate as the tool of TrevE, who's the very first into the CIQ stuff, thanks to him for the hard work.

Update
Hey appest!
First of all: Thank you VERY much for all your efforts! I´m using Gtasks for months now and it became one of my main favorite apps on earth
GNotes: Would it be possible for you to provide us with the newest versions here on XDA? I´m one of these guys that are suffering from the density <--> compatibility issue on the market (many apps cannot be installed on my sgsII due to density reasons)! The amazon market is providing me with a few of these apps, but e.g. your GNotes app seems to be outdated (?!).
Thank you very much in advance!
---------- Post added at 10:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:08 AM ----------
And one more question: When I´m looking into the notes folder in my Gmail acc, every note has been sent to a Bcc recipient...may I know why is that? Who´s the recipient?

Hi, Thanks for your support.
Here is the GNotes 0.4.1 : View attachment GNotes_0.4.1_1.apk
And you can find the newest release on http://www.gnotes.me/downloads
And it also had been submitted to amazon market, just waiting for review.
The recipient is empty, the note mail specified the sender but not receiver.
Fast and friendly service, thanks man!
Thanks for the app! This is great, been looking for one like this for a long time
Well, color me impressed.
This is my favorite kind of application: you are obviously focusing on doing every feature very well rather than on feature bloat.
Very good app. Thanks for that.
is there a possibilty that you enable sync with other mail accounts than gmail ? would be great

Yes, we will consider the other mail accounts.
It depends the server side implement of the mail account.
We had tested the yahoo mail, some problems stop us to add it.
Hallo!
I've tried to use gnotes with my new HTC One (m7), but the app is not able to connect with gmail. I get always "connect failed, please try again" or "Add notes to remote error". Could someone help?
Thx in advance
Good Evernote alternative
Why I prefer GNotes over Evernote is that I have to pay Evernote $45 each year just to have offline notes.
First of all, I am not going to upload my notes, pictures etc.. to some server somewhere and think it is safe from prying eyes, or backed-up.
Many people have more than 1 cloud acct.
What I do, is this: All my files are encrypted with BoxCryptor or Cryptonite or EncDroid (they are compatible) before I save them to cloud. I have my personal hosting acct with hostgator where I also sync (WebDAV + FolderSync) all my encrypted files.
I use Office docx on my phone to create notes as doc files, encrypt them and sync them to clouds. What I like about GNotes is simple interface, image attachment...
If I only can
- automatically "sync" the Gnotes to local folder (internal or external Sd) where i have encfs mounted, then my FolderSync would pick them up and sync them to the location of my choice...
I would buy GNotes.
I know you have your GNotes.me cloud but that does not set you apart from Evernote or OneNote or any other "notes in the cloud" app.
Give users freedom, let them be true owners of their data and they will thank you.
When I come to the point "I have had enough" I am going to make a notes app that is doing just what I said above. My problem is lack of spare time, so for any eager developer out there, here is your project:
- make a "wrapper" app that is going to be notes manager but your notes are actually .doc files, so that you can reuse the code for rtf editing that must be somewhere out there; your .doc file metadata can be place where you store your apps Note Title, tags etc...
- let users access those rtf files any way they want so that they can encrypt them with the tool of their choice, sync them to their favorite location
- make a small windows wrapper app that would also do the same so that people can sync to their laptops
- set your app price reasonably, get paid for what you have done, fix bugs, improve the app... just make sure users have freedom to move their data to any format they want, doc, html, pdf, xml...
[REQUEST] Sync with othor account or share to other accounts
Great app ! .. Sync with email .. Superb thought..!!
Using Gtasks from couple of months and became a fan of it ! Had no issues with it. Superb app that to . Just noticed today this app and installed it. And it is also great. good work. Just keep on going and going. Making our life simple!
One question : How you mange the lables or folders ? Because nothing seen on the mail. So how do you identify the mails to show the notes?
Request : My request is that I can share a note with other Gnote user. I can share via bluetooth or in any other form. Or that shared note iin sync would be great. Because Shared Tasks are the great feature for us all !
Hope to receive your reply soon.
Hi, I created beautiful and simple calendar widget - with 1 quite unique function, custom reminder. Forgetful people (like me ) are often frustrated with default calendar reminders, which just beeps and thats all I was angry so many times, that I missed something, that I decided to develop simple and intuitive widget, which shows agenda on your home screen and allows to add reminder (REAL reminders with sound play, vibro, etc) on any event. This was main purpose, but later I added some other functions...
{

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Main functions:
- shows all your agenda inside widget
- allows to change between your calendars (google/exchange/facebook)
- set reminder on any event in advance up to 24 hours
- sound/vibro mode
- customization (skins, text sizes, text color, transparency, more widget sizes,..)
- practical shorcuts to stock calendar (add event, edit event, delete event)
Maybe there are a lot of calendar widget apps, but as I know almost no one allows to set up real alarm on events + only few are so good loking, simple and easy to use. This app is for simple everyday use, especially forgetful people. If you like it, enjoy. If not, write here some of your tips or improvements and if they are reasonable, I will implement them Thx & enjoy

Calendar Agenda Widget
PS: it's free - just with some limitations...If it is against rules, just let me know and I will delete link to my app. Thx
*sorry about incorrect thread name, but can't change it from [APP] to [WIDGET]...
Fixed facebook events bug and few others.
Note: On some phones facebook events are not automatically added to calendar (usually rooted one but also some others). However, it's not fault of my widget. If you want to add fb events to your calendar, try this:
1) Log into facebook and export the birthdays or events (www.facebook.com/help/152652248136178/)
2) Take the URL and add it to Google Calendar (http://support.google.com/calendar/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=37100)
3) Open up Google Calendar app on the phone, and sync the new calendar (Calendar > Options > CalendarsToDisplay > CalendarsToSync > [The new calendars you just added] )
4) Go to the widget... and press refresh if necessary.
Seems like a good idea so far and pretty well done. I'm trying it for a while.

I will like to remind you to please add the Open Source Library credit's to your app's about page or settings page.
I can see your have used external Library's in your app which you having given credits to in the app.
Since this will also have a Premium Pro version i will suggest that u add the credits or it will potentially let you to trouble.

Nice app, upgraded to pro to get the location based options.
Now, is there any option to set a location based alarm? It would come in handy when I have 24 hour shifts to wake me in the morning. I would no longer have to remember to set the alarm myself everytime.
I'll wait for Pro to be in the Play Store, looks awesome!
Is location activation based on GPS or cell data?
Looks and works very great Thanks for that awesome work

Another question.. is there a holo dark theme or is it only white?
The app looks great, i will buy it immediately if the cell-id recorder function is there

we have plans for Dark Theme, Our Graphic designers are working on it... will be out in a month
and regarding cell-id, You dont have to worry about that.. We manage it internally... U set the location in the map.. and we will find out the cell-id internally... it works like magic

Yes but that way i have to rely on maps and gps for the location. Im talking about a map/gps independent location awareness (cell-id). I know that is not as accurate as gps but there are some of us who dont use gps at all ! All the profile applications that i tried (and i tried almost everything) either they lack this function or they dont implement it in a consistent way or they use only gps. The only exception is tasker but is a pain to set it up and setting profiles (probeez) which is not maintained anymore.
Also something very useful will be an icon on the notification bar assigned to every profile (visual indication of current active profile) and the ability for the user to change it.
Just my thoughts. The app is great keep up the good work !

Hi SimplicityApks!
You have created a very good app. It contains all the features that i think a good graph program should need.
I am looking forward to the release day of the pro version!
How much will the pro Version be costing?
Good Job!
Very cool app!
Hi developer,
first to say: great app.
It has a huge bunch of functions and it's clearly structured. It also fits the designguidelines of google .
I just have a few wishes for future features:
-I would love different colors for different graphes,
-and a list of the graphes put in before calculating where you can set the color.
Thats all!
So it's a bit work left, but I think you can release it in near future.
A last question: what will it cost?
Greetings, nexster

I am currently planning the customizeable colors for the graphs, just need to make a decision on the right color picker...
Will be in version 1.1 for sure!
The version I released here will also be free in the Play Store, I thought about 2$ for the pro version, though that is not final.
Thanks for the feedback and testing!
Really cool app. :good:
I've found some issues though:
In the value table, why is there a limit of shown values?
If you add one function to the function list and swype it away, the Gmail-like overlay to revert that is on top of the Cancel button (at least on my Nexus 4).
I made the app crash!
Show the graph for a function. Then open the analysis of the function and press the Pro features button and then the Pro Version Button. (Doesn't crash when I select fullscreen and then Pro Version.)
You could use a ShareActionProvider instead of the static share icon in the ActionBar.
What's about other colors for the graphs?
Oh, and I would prefer a Holo FunctionKeyboard.

Really cool app. :good:
I've found some issues though:
In the value table, why is there a limit of shown values?

Thanks for testing!
The limit for the values is to avoid huge lists and will be adjustable in the Pro version.
The overlay, ya, I gotta look at the lib again to see if I can reposition it.
Thanks for finding that bug, will have a look at that as well.
I was trying to implement the ShareActionProvider a while ago, but I did not yet have time to find a solution since I need a callback from it to generate the image! I remember our discussion on this one, we thought about extending the share action provider ...
And it's true, I need to find out how to properly theme the KeyboardView.

Ah, you're right. We had that talk.
You could also have a look at the code and create a library for a ShareActionProvider which has that callback.
Whatever solution you find, please notify me.
One more bug I've found: I entered "rt9x" and then the app froze and didn't do anything. I even had to reboot my phone once because often the system UI freazes as well for some time.
(I know it has to be "rt9(x)".)
Thanks for your response. Despite all the criticism (which is meant to be constructive), it's a great app. Keep it up. :good:

Better??

Fixed the two other bugs, too (the one where the whole system crashed was an infinite loop which added "\n" to a String xD... I guess out of memory then.
For the toast overlapping the cancel button I haven't got a solution since I'm using the SwipeToDismissUndoList in a dialog. One solution would be to put it over the title, but that's not nice either, like this:

Yeah, that's better.
Thanks. :good:
Hm, you could create an issue on the Github issue tracker for that. Maybe someone else has an idea.
However, when I click on Tutorial in the overflow menu, nothing happens. I guess that there should be some ShowcaseView overlays, right?

That happens when you change value which is not properly initialized xD... Thanks for finding it :good:
I definetely need to get a github account, I'll do that tomorrow.
For now I've updated the app with the awesome holo-themed FunctionKeyboard!

Thanks.
I just tested the tutorial.
However, after choosing tutorial once, every time I return to the app (e.g. via the built-in Android task switcher or by launching it from the app drawer), the tutorial is shown now. It starts every time.
After deleting the app data, it works fine again (until I press on tutorial :laugh.
Another thing: What's about hiding the keyboard when the tutorial is shown?
I can't read the text with the keyboard shown in the background.

got me on that one
Actually, if you go to the grid, the tutorial will continue and then never show up again... But ya, I guess I need to dismiss it on exiting xD. And I thought I had the FunctionKeyboard hide, but that was just the standard Android keyboard. Gonna fix that now, thanks.
Updated!
v1.0b4 is even more simplistic and adds French language.
What's that? http://www.bestappsmarket.com/p/app?appId=942856&title=com-simplicityapks-functioncapture

Cool app, but I absolutely need color-coding (assign colors to every function) like Geogebra has (and my TI-nspire).
