[Q] need flashable radio package - HTC Inspire 4G

Hello Tech Peeps, I was wondering if anyone could please point me in the direction of a flashable zip for radio 12.54.cd.cd.26.xx.xx..11_M2
I have 26.06.06.30_M and don't quite have the signal or battery life I saw previously. However, I cannot get Android SDK to download on my P.C. there fore need a radio package I can flash from bootloader. I have renamed every radio link I can find (26.09.04.11_M2) and no dice... If there isn't a link - would any tech guru feel up to the challenge of creating a flashable zip package for this radio? I have successfully flashed three radios from bootloader - but cannot figure out what I am missing here. Any help or links would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I have looked thru the desire/inspire radio links, and read everything I can. Just don't know what else to.do... Is there an app for that!? Peace...

Actually no. Hold on and I will try to find a link. However - those ARE the radios that I can flash via bootloader. I don't know what the difference is, but I cannot manage to flash any other radios from any other threads... Give me a quick second, and thanks...
-MyPocketWizard-
I am using the radio from the second post by OP in that thread you linked.

Ok Xaviier - the radio I need is in this link - the one released on April 28. The last radio link I believe. TheThe last numbers are 26.09.04.11_M2. Any help at all man would be killer... Need any other info?
-MyPocketWizard-

RIL 12.54.60.25 26.09.04.11 M2 --> http://www.mediafire.com/?huq350tk1fakrsu

Thanks David and DooDoo. Gonna charge up and copy to the root of my SD card, and hopefully this will work. I spent three hours downloading Android SDK - then had to download a Java deal, and still couldn't get SDK to install. I hope this works, and thanks again. Will post back results later... Peace
-MyPocketWizard-
I believe my current RIL is the one this new radio will use. 2.2.0013 or close...
Thanks again.

no problem your welcome
the RIL for the radio is 2.2.0131 (Mar 18 2011, 00:40:15)

WINNING!!!! Beast!!
Man, if you only knew how many times I have attempted to flash radios thru bootloader and failed you would pity me. Hell YES!!! Out of curiosity, do you have any idea why some radios are flashable - obviously renaming them PD98IMG doesn't work. Freaking Sweetness.
My RIL thru terminal emulator says 2.2.0131 so I guess I am finally set. Two weeks I have been working on getting my **** straight, and here we are. Now I can properly evaluate my battery life and what not. Thanks again guys. And I bookmarked the page you linked for me David, so I can maybe help out any other noobs who run into this predicament. Thanks upon Thanks guys....

[REQUEST] CityID.apk

Yes, this is the first time someone actually wants CityID. It's the only thing stopping me from applying the latest update.zip. I've been searching for quite a few hours to no success. Every search I've tried to find the stock CityID app has only led to how to remove it. These all would have been helpful to see before I deleted it through Titanium rather than renaming it. The couple of installs I found have been for other phones, none of which have allowed me to bypass the step in Recovery. Would anyone kindly upload the stock CityID, or even point me in the direction of it. I'm assuming I can just place it back in /system/app/ correct?
I'll add my request to this as well so this topic stays near the top!
I'm also stuck at this error trying to install the new update.zip! I've been doing searches as well and haven't been able to find CityID.apk anywhere!
I'm also assuming that you can just do an adb push of the apk back into the /system/app directory.... fingers crossed!
Try the HeyItsLouFroyo Rom thread in the dev section. He has a zip file of removed apps. Didn't look. But I think it's in there since he said he removed it.

Inspire 4G and the cyanogenmod (questions)

Im new to the android community and phones. I bought an Inspire with gingerbread (2.3.3) and would like to add cyanogenmod to it but the tutorials look so "harmfull" they scare me away so i have some question.
Can i downgrade from 2.3 to android v1?
Have anyone here rooted and flashed the same phone I have?
What is "radio? Can I change it to another one? how can I tell if it will work with my carrier?
please, please, please. READ
these questions you are asking concern me
1. you dont downgrade to v1....because it doesnt exist
2. we all have the same phone as you, otherwise we wouldnt have an inspire section
3. there is an entire thread dedicated to this very subject....look in the dev section.
there are easy to follow guides, tutorials, and walkthroughs here, but you have to READ...there is ZERO excuse for not reading and comprehending this stuff. if it is too much for you, you should NOT be doing any of it, and leave your phone stock
This is why I said..im NEW with this... none of what you helped in some way.

then you have some READING to do. nobody here is going to hold your hand.
ALL the information you seek is already here, but you have to READ
Sorry if all you want is someone to hold your hand and spoonfeed information to you
NEW or not, it doesnt matter. I was NEW to this phone when i got it. I READ, the same way i have done with all my other phones. I READ to understand what i am doing and how to do it.
heres the first thing you should have read when you came to the inspire boards:

this question has come up several times in the last month. yes it works just fine
Hi, i just rotted the unit and everything was fine
So i decided to use, cyanogenmod, it installed
now i can make calls but it does not connect to the data network portion.
Any ideas?
I noticed the radio baseband is slighly different than the original. could it be?
Sorry. was quick. i entered the APN settings and it is now connecting.. just Edge....before (stock rom) i had "H" (guessing is 3G). Now it only connects to E (edge i assume).
The weird thing is that before whenever i was in an area with only edge It would not allow me to browse but now I can.
any idea jedi master?
you can try a different radio. look at the radio thread in the dev section
Sorry to bother you so much. I was able to solve the radio issue. Now, since the market app wasn't included i followed the guide on how to install gapps but after doing so i can't get pass the boot screen "touch the android to begin".
I try to wipe and reflash but still does not let me do it. Any ideas?
did you touch the android to begin?
Yes, sir. But it will still restart.
i try to wipe data and restart the process but same thing happens.
Tried taping the four corners and an still happening.
Someone said the the gapps file might be corrupted.
Right now cyanogenmod is a pain. is there a way to install another room or the stock one through recovery?
Thanks for all your help!

[Q] Ready for Custom ROM?

I think I'm ready to flash a custom rom. I've read and read and guess I just want to make sure.
I rooted my Inspire using Advanced Ace Hack Kit, which installed ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.7. I did a Nand backup and I've chosen Energy™ RCMix 4.0 Energized BLUE Edition. It's in the root of my sdcard, I also have my radio and ril ready flash.
Anyone have an input on any steps I may be missing? I'd appreciate the input and hopefully I posted this in the right place.

Well no...should have posted in the q and a, but in all honesty this has been covered so many times you probably didn't need to post it anywhere.
Since you did I will let you know that the ril is always included in the rom your flashing. You do not need to change your radio unless the op of that rom suggests it...even then I wouldn't until you test out the radio you already have after rooting. (The radio stays with you from rom to rom)
Flash the rom and enjoy. Be sure to read read and then read some more. We has lots of info around here...and bad grammer. Lmao!!!!!

Which file is right?
So I searched around and found this thread while looking for the community kernel (old I know). But when I'm flashing this kernel, which of the files am I supposed to choose? I see a cert.sf, cert.rsa, manifest.mf, update-binary, updater-script, and then in the other folder a redbend_ua, and zImage...I'm kind of new to this Thanks for the help!
EDIT: I managed to figure out it was the zImage file. But my problem is that when I try to flash that, it takes a little while before it just tells me it failed to verify kernel (something along those lines) and then it doesn't flash it. Am I doing something brutally wrong? I already have CWM installed as per the video linked by the "Super Everything" thread on XDA. Could somebody maybe re-upload this kernel please?
Also, if I were to flash a different ROM, like say Serendipity VII, then do I still need to flash a kernel before hand? Or can I just download the ROM to my sdcard and install it with CWM? Thanks for the help!

I ran Serendipity as my first ROM, and ran it on my cappy also, to include my boys cappys
http://serendipityinfuse.weebly.com/index.html
Just follow the instructions on the above.
But if you want to try another ROM, you will have to go back to stock, well I had but I do on a regular bases...use this below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1524081
Do not unzip the PDA_Community_Voodoo_Kernel_v8.tar.md5 file. Use Odin and because the file name starts with PDA, load it in the PDA slot and flash.
Bigjoe: So just to confirm, I can go straight from UCKH1 with cwm and rom manager and NO community kernel flashed to serendipity? All I have to do is put the file onto my phone and boot into CWM(mine usually goes into blue then I click reinstall packages and then it goes to green) and then wipe data and cache and then install the file from my sdcard? He isn't very clear in his instructions when he says just flash the rom as one step haha
Also, on the original topic, the file that was uploaded on minus at the to of this thread isn't a PDA tar file. It's the community kernel zip. So I was trying to flash it with sgs kernel flasher. Is that wrong?

Vipers ROM and data speed

I'm new to this rooting business and after a slow start I managed to Root and flash my first ROM at the weekend. I used Vipers 1.6.3 which, after some research, I gather is a pretty old version. I'm still impressed though even if it is some of their older work but the one issue I've been having is with my mobile data speed. I haven't been getting anything above E/G speed wise and I've found it quite frustrating. I'm gonig to update to version 3.1.4. when I get back home but do you think this will resolve the issue? Is there a setting or something that I need to be aware of that controls maximum data speed.
Sorry if this is a complete noob question but I'm doing my best with searches and guides but I'm not finding anything particulary helpful.

I can't see any information about radio's in there. It does mention about ICS non compatible kernals. This is confusing me further. How do I know what kernal I'm currently on. Once again.....sorry for the noobness but after the drama I've had just getting this far I'm nervous about messing it up.

Hey,
Did you try a full wipe so you know for sure it's not the problem of the rom, just make a nandroid backup in your recovery(4ext recovery is higly recommended)
Also another trick,
As you know the back of the sensation is also the antenna...
You can try to gently clean the gold spots.
About the radio take a look at here it says when you have the wrong radio it can cause bad reception so it can be the problem.!

try preferring cdma in quick settings
For me that did the trick, but now that i updated to 3.1.4 this option seems to be missing, so maybe obsolete and handled automatically as i have no issues without it.
