For those of you that dont know about the site Dealextreme, its chock full of cheap Chinese made gadgets and gizmos, and lots of knockoff name brand stuff. I just received one of the best car chargers ive ever had for my phone from the site, and the best part is it was only $2.80 shipped. The cord retracts into the body to keep clutter down that you get with the $30 charger from Best Buy.
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/car-ch...-for-samsung-i9000-dc-12-24v-75cm-cable-54537
I ordered two, one for my girlfriends HTC, and unsurprisingly one of them came with a damaged cable (insulation was peeled off). Though after sending them a picture, theyre sending me a new one at no cost. I ordered a similar one for my Nokia E72 a few months ago which worked well. As well as a retractable 4 in 1 AC charger (Nokia, mini and micro USB, and iPhone all spliced into one cable) to keep at the shop for about $4. Its all cheap Chinese made crap, but still a great value.
I dont work for the site, just sharing what i though was a great find.
that website is ok, but the quality of their item is relatively poor. There are only a few items that have decent quality.
Yes if one out of two was falling apart when you got it that doesn't speak well for it lasting very long.
$2.80 dude

I use this one for all my MicroUSB needs. For under $5 shipped, it's amazing, looks nice (the circle is glass that lights up blue), and "name brand" I suggest this one over a $3 cheaply made one.
I just use one of these:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004T1VSRK
nice and compact and i can charge any USB device from it, put's out enough amps to even charge my wifes ipad....
well i like it this phone htc one x its pretty nice for me i want it, perhaps the only thing start bother me its battery, i had an evo 3d and i usually have extra batteries, and works well, perhaps im not sure how you will beat this?
im thinking the extra chargers that works as usb battery but not sure wich one are the best and cheap xD
for example like this:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/portable-12000mah-rechargeable-power-battery-pack-white-119917
what do you think?
I wouldn't buy anything like that from dealextreme. There are plenty of portable chargers out there such as the powermonkey:
powermonkey
or some solar versions:
powermonkey explorer
Powermonkey Explorer
Monaco
Monaco Solar Charger
or if you are looking for more power for a really long time away from outlets:
New Trent - Ranges from 5000mAh to 11,000mAh
New Trents on amazon
Although it is very disappointing not to be able to just carry another fully charged battery that you can just change. I have been using an extra battery and desk charger since the early 2000's and now technology is leading towards phones without this feature and without removable SD cards. It seems like a step backwards. I managed to go on after the change from hardware keyboard to touchscreen as there was a benefit, but there just isn't enough reason to take away these features.
We all know where this whole idea of not allowing SD cards or removable batteries came from. Everyone is trying to be the iPhone. Next Google will force you to install Gtunes before you can use your phone.

Not SD its not big deal for me but battery? that suck and if htc will make not removable they should be at least like razr maxx in battery mah
thanks a lot, and why you dont like DX?
The stuff from dealextreme is great if your are looking for cheap stuff that you don't mind if it breaks in a month. Also you may be waiting a loooooong time for shipping. For the cheap stuff it's great, but you DO NOT want to charge your phone with some cheap electronics from Hong Kong. It will mess up your battery and then you will really have a problem with keeping a charge. Don't want to have send in your expensive One X for repair because of a fried battery. Seen way to many phones ruined by cheap chargers. Spend the money on a good one.
I went back and fixed the links, but if you need to buy from somewhere else, that's fine. Powermonkey are sold in other countries and have adapters for different plugs if you travel. Then again I guess you could find an adapter for any of them.

thanks, damn htc i was so cool just switching batteries anyways i will check on ebay thanks, i read about powermat but seems expensive.
i wil check it thanks a lot
Non-removable battery does have a very good reason, because if battery is removable, they must make the battery strong enough to be able to take some potential stress from being dropped, etc. Non-removable batteries can have thinner walls because the phone casing will protect the battery, and since it will not have to be removed very often it is possible to have the battery have more surface area on the phone to occupy.
We need cases like these. my friend gets about 2 days heavy use on his iPhone 4 with it. Unfortunately I've only seen cases with batteries for iPhones.

wow would be nice for the One X i hope we can get this
No kidding. I am so envious of him. That case also allows him to charge using a regular micro USB cable. I'm surprised at the lack of cases for most Android phones.

I really don't think it will be an issue to make it through a full day.
Have a feeling that portable chargers are going to get a lot more popular as the non-removable battery becomes more standard.
Have the New Trent 11,000 mAh model which can keep me going for a week away from a power outlet. I'm not usually far from an outlet as I have the home charger, car charger, and usb port from my computer at work, but always easy to carry around my portable charger as it isn't very big and fits in my pocket. The other ones are even smaller.
Not too fond of the idea of having to use a case that makes my thin sexy phone into a hulk for just a little more juice.

I hate the fact you can't remove the battery for a lot of reasons, one big one is I aways carried an extra battery because I did not buy a powerful phone to tweak it so it can't use all the power it came with.
They really need to put bigger batteries inside phones like motorola did , or make the back of phone from solar cells so it could recharge at daylight when flipped over
Any cheap backup batteries yet ? Ideally with wall charger.
I think the only one available right now is the stock Samsung batteries. You might be able to find a 50% off coupon. It comes with a battery charger. However I would wait for a company like Anker to release 3rd party backup batteries because I've found 3rd party batteries to have longer battery life than the stock batteries.
There is nothing. It's funny cause I had the G3 before this and there were a few preorders on Amazon already. I would think there would be more for the Note 4. What sucks is, Samsung had the spare battery with a charger for $20 but it sold out real quick. Who know's when that will come back in stock. I put my email down to know when they come back in stock, but I have done that before and never heard anything.

I can't post links yet because I'm a new user, but go to ebay and search for note 4 batteries. There is one from China that has a picture of three batteries and a charger.
I've used these batteries for my Note II and Note 3. They work great for about 9 months to a year. They still hold a charge after that time, but not as well as the stock battery. The stock battery will eventually crap out too; all batteries do. It's a great deal at $20 for three batteries and a charger. I also prefer to use this charger instead of the one that comes with the phone because it charges more slowly and will give you more charge cycles on your batteries. I would also disable fast charging unless you're desperate for juice because you will get fewer charge cycles out of your batteries before they start to suck.

Exactly this!
Batteries are not something people should cheap out on, for the sake of only £10 or so! Nearly all the cases posted around the internet of people's phones going up in smoke are due to cheap, third party batteries and/or chargers. Then there's the issue that most cheap third-party replacement batteries will have far less than the advertised capacity.
They're just a risk that is not worth it.

Did you bought those from China? How is it? Anyone knows?
I love the made in China batteries.
I understand the concerns with using a cheap battery, but I've used the ones on ebay for years now without any problems or harm to my devices. The savings are not a mere 10 quid. You get three batteries for half the price of one. The made in China batteries definitely don't last as long as the stock battery, but I've never seen one blow up and I'm not afraid or concerned about it ruining my phone.
There is one legitimate drawback compared to the stock battery though. The NFC chip is embedded in the battery on the note 4 so if you use NFC a lot then clearly you should stick with a stock battery.
I hardly ever use NFC so I'll still use the made in China battery from ebay.

I agree 100% with you. I am not worried about the battery blowing up. Its rare. And for my S3 and Epic prior to that they served their purpose. Backup for when you run out of power.
However, based on other thread if I can buy Samsung's for 50% off battery and charger ($20-$25) I would do it, just OOS.
Yeah, personally I have bought those cheap Chinese batteries off of Ebay, and I don't think they are worth it. I'm not worried about them ruining my phone, that is very unlikely. They just don't last long enough. I'm waiting for a reputable company to come out with a set with a charger. Like Anker. That usually runs about $30 bucks with 2 batteries and a charger compared to what $80 for the Samsung one. Even if they are .01% more likely to ruin my phone, that doesn't warrant spending an extra $50 like some people would lead you to believe.

Anker are very good, and not cheap as OP was talking about. I would use Anker but not a cheap option.
But Anker hasn't been to quick to get batteries out. I would suggest buying the Caseology batteries when they become available on Amazon. They always put up a preorder with a really good price but a ship date that is a month away. I always resist ordering it hoping that something will come sooner but they are usually the first and by the time they ship they are more expensive. And they get pretty good reviews.
FWIW, when I went to charge the batteries for our trade in phones, both stock batteries couldn't hold a charge at all.. BUT the cheap extended batteries I'd purchased from china had no issues at all.
(As a matter of fact, one of the stock batteries had developed that battery bulge we've heard about, and I couldn't even put the back on the phone with it in!)

They're currently out of stock, and on backorder.
They get em in fast. Check 2x daily.

Odds are we'll see quick chargers paired with 2 batteries on ebay soon for $12 shipped or so, similar to other phone battery options.
Since that's less than 50% the cost of the Sammy's I'll just wait for a week or two for them.
there are several on eBay just be careful as some are just 3000 MAH and some are 5400 MAH so just choose wisely if you decided to buy from eBay but most offer 2/3 batteries for 15$ or so

can you post which coupon code you used? because the ones i'm finding aren't valid even on the other current in stock accessories.
Keep an eye on this thread for coupon codes.
There aren't any reviews yet so i'm unsure of the quality and legitimacy of the product. What do you guys think?
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PJEQ290?psc=1
EDIT: If you look at the (color) section of the amazon page it shows different options. You can buy a single battery for $11.00 USD
or 3 batteries and a charger for $35.00 USD!
I've found a review about the batteries, although these are for the LG G3, I'm guessing they are similar.
http://www.extendedbatteryreview.co...y-combo-with-portable-usb-travel-wall-charger
It has a lifespan of 1 month.
You really should never ever cheap out on a battery. There are tons of garbage quality batteries out there that are totally useless. Buy an original battery or an extended one from a recognized brand. Also the very cheap batteries have a much higher likelihood of running very hot, leaking, or even catching fire in some cases.
I bought some 'cheap' batteries just for the charger. I got caught with a dead battery on my Vivid and had to wait for "the slow boat from China". (ran battery down due to ROM testing and couldn't recharge by phone}
Now this was some years ago and I don't remember company (overseas) or cost.
My SO got a Vivid & will not update and she uses the white batteries as often as the stock black one (she often forgets to plug in.) One stock battery dead.
So your mileage may very. I would not count on only 'after market from across the pond' as my only anything.
Wireless chargers' price seem to range from $5~50.
For example a charger from amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Ult...&qid=1480795129&sr=8-1&keywords=ailun+charger) costs $5 while Samsung's one costs $20. They both charge at 5V 1A (hence perform similarly) but one is more expensive than other
What is the difference between cheap ones and expensive ones?
Are cheap ones not safe to use compared to expensive ones?
Thanks!

Just a small thought that maybe useful,
The more expensive ones may have a better build quality/more reliable parts. That being said, it may just be more expensive because of the brand name as I know it tends to be that way a lot with some Samsung products.
I've used a bunch of chargers around my house that are all 5V - 1.5A and one day I used my moms Samsung charger and it charged 3 times faster (think it was 5V -2.5A). If you use a device that supports fast charging, it might be a good idea to get a fast/lightning charger as it will save you a lot of time.
Hope this may get you rolling a bit in the direction of which Ines best for you!
