Anyone got Gameboid

Has anyone managed to get gameboid working on your captivate? (gameboid is a gameboy advance emulator in the market)
I can load my gba bios file fine, but once i load up a rom it crashes back to the main gameboid menu.
I know the program has the potential to work fine because i used to run it fine on my android hacked tilt2.
If anyone has a fix id appreciate if they posted it here. If i find something that works ill be sure and update this thread.

Homerun Battle 3D - Accelerometer

Does anybody have this installed or is willing to install? I want to see in anyone is having the same problem as me. The audio will sometimes double the sound the game makes when you make a selection or swing and strike.
Secondly and more importantly, the aiming shadow for the bat skips around making me believe that either the accelerometer is faulty or the game has issues with the phone.

Mine is the same way. I had it on my iPhone 3gS and the game was much smoother. I'm tempted to think its more of a software problem than a phone problem. It is still playable though.

I am goign to vote software problem as some of the older games do the same thing with touch input as well.

I hope it gets fixed since I paid for it. It ran flawlessly on my N1. Now I can hardly play it, knowing how it should run.

Try sending them an email. I'll do the same. They can't fix problems if they don't know about them.

Just finished playing it....
And it worked for me. The only thing that I have done to the phone is rooting. I don't know if this has anything to do with it working.....

I actually just finished rooting and tested it some more. The aiming shadow is still skipping and the sound is doubled. Thanks for testing though.

Update on this. I installed Android Sensor Data to check the accelerometer. I didn't notice anything funny. Then I went back and played HR3D and it worked fine. Then rebooted the phone and played game again and the aiming thing skipped again. Ran the Sensor Data app again and then the game played fine...
Not sure what to make of this.

Mine did the same thing. Guess I'll just have to run the Sensor Data app everytime I want to play the game. Bummer.

Ya i have the same jumping with all apps that use the sensor. I tryed using that app but it did not help.

Same issue here. Anyone found a fix yet?

So far I have just been using Droid Sensor Data and going to the positional tab. Then start the game and the accelerometer works fine. I only have to do this when I reboot. Still havent found a way to fix sound.

4G Upload Freezing

Hi I'm new here so i apologize if I have posted this in the wrong spot or if there is already a post about this (i checked and couldnt find one) Anyways, i'm having an issue with my SGS4G that drives me INSANE. It happens often. I will be texting or browsing the internet or something and the green arrow pointing up on the 4G symbol freezes. Once that happens im not able to do anything: send texts, load anything, use internet (pretty much anything consisting of data). I actually experienced the problem trying to load up XDA. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks.

This is exactly the right forum for this sort of question--just fyi. I've never had that happen though hopefully someone here can help you out. My guess is something running or updating in the background.

Oh thanks i just make sure cuz ive been on forums where people FLIP if u accidently post in the wrong spot. But yeah i hope someone knows why or at least how to stop it. Only way to fix it id to restart my mobile network.

i encounter that problem a number of times on the 4g connection. using edge never experiences the problem and i can also remedy if i switch networks.

Are you using Mobile AP by any chance when it happens? I've had my data freeze completely after a good amount of use via Mobile AP. Other than that I haven't noticed any issues.

Mine is doing the same thing it is very annoying :'( since I have started using the Bali 1.4uv kernel it happens less frequently. Now when it freezes I click back then reload the page i was on to resume browsing

Hey guys, i need advice. I got my headset exchange last night and ive been using it and ive already experienced the same issue. I checked what Mobile AP was and no i have never used that feature. Heres what i need help with, shud i just stick it out and use it how i am or shud i trade/sell it on CL for something else like a G2X or a Sidekick 4G? Thanks guys.

Modded gingerbread theme
Whitehawks kd1 deodexed with modded green dialer,modded pull down menu (favorite color is green and favorite football team greenbay packers)

Read up on the g2x lately. It is having lots of issues for lots of people. Tmo even pulled it off their website due to problems with alot of those phones. Random reboots, screen issues like light bleeds and discoloring, and other issues. Some are happy with the device with few of these issues others have had multiple exchanges and still report problems.
They say the gingerbread update will fix some of these when it comes out. I doubt it will fix the screen issues tho. That just sounds like an LG hardware defect. Bottom line do some reading before jumping on the LG g2x bandwagon.

After the issues with this phone i dont even wanna consider the G2X anymore lol. Thank you SO much for the heads up. My brother and my sister have the sidekick 4g and they love it. Has anybody heard anything about that one?

Was just reading about this on Engadget. After the headache it took to get the leak for the last market working properly. Ill wait for the official release.

Honestly its clean and I haven't seen any problems. It isn't like roms. I installed it. I really like it lol

I loaded this up then just went in and deleted data on the market app and this is running great!
Then I screwed up and got excited about the google movies and download the new google video's. Rented Battle LA and started to play. then BAM... "cant access this video with a rooted device"... What a bunch of horse ****!!!.. I really hope someone figures a way around this.

THe DRM coding is what keeps it from running. not even sure how you would go about tricking it into thinking you have DRM

Well, I'm a newb when it comes to most of that. I just hope one of the many great dev's can tear into the .apk and figure out a way to mask the app from see that the device has root access.
I have no desire to steal or pirate movies. Just wanna watch an occasional movie on my tweaked phone yeah know.

They should be happy we arnet pirating the movies. Who cares if we root if we are paying

I got it today too, thus far i havent had any problems. Im rooted and i feel your plight Ive not a movie watcher so i didnt really care about that part. I gotta admit the first page seems a little busy and jumbled, the rest of it looks great

Had the same issue. Just went in to app manager and cleared data on the market app and rebooted the phone for good measure. Once the phone booted up I acceptef the market t&c and went back to my apps. Still could update so I just left it alone. A few minutes later I noticed the app updates available icon in the notification area and clicked on it. Once I selected the app that need to be updated it gave me the opotion to update, instead of open, or uninstall.

Dunno if I like the ui...kinda hard to navigate and find stuff.
It sure is a major change, almost wp7ish.
Guess I will get used to it.

Finally the iOS game has been made the journey to Android.
If it says not compatible give it a bit. Had that issue yesterday and with it open in browser it changed to compatible automagically.
I suggest saving often because it crashed to desktop several times just as I was about to infect the entire globe...I cried and went to bed after the last time.

The game crashes a lot.

Ya, I had a nice infection going on in China and spreading, crash, went back, didn't save at all.

Best I can offer is to catch a log and send it to the developer. Just like out devs here they can benefit from logs. Also remember these companies dont have all the various devices with the various roms andd tweaks available.

Great game but sometimes crash during playing.

Crashes less anyways since the update.

I downloaded it since it came out. Have crashed like 50 times. I'm on VB-FB. Played in airplane mode on and it had few less crashes but it's still no good. I cried too.

I deleted mine. Got bored of it real quick cuz I got ADD plus it crashes too much.

My buddy with a gnex has no issues but I still get desktop crashes.

Latest update is a lot better, but ticked me off. I was on 1.0.3, had 1 level left to beat to unlock everything, did the 1.0.4 update, got no storage space despite there being room. uninstalled, deleted data, still the same problem. Restored my ROM backup to the day before and update finally went in but lost half my progress. Still like it though. lol.

I was having the same thing with not enough storage errors. Always backup the data before updating on a game like this. I had a almost perfect run of angry birds that bombed because of a update.

There finally beat it. lol. All 3 levels, all plague types. I was going to buy it so I could use the DNA points but cleared it without any extra.

It's definitely been more stable with the latest bug fixes. I thought it was too unstable on my phone a few days ago so I bought it on my iPad for $1. . Much nicer on a table interface.

How come nobody has caught that I misspelled the name? Yall are a bunch of non grammar nazis! Ive been on reddit too much I guess.

Since the last update I played 3 games and only got one crash. I play on Airplane Mode, just wifi on and I'm on FB's VB.
