Is there a program that will port all of your contacts, pictures, etc. from a Blackberry to the new Droid Charge?
Is your BB bold also a VZW phone?? If it is u can just use Backup assistant.
yes they both are VZW phones... right now I sync my Bold with my outlook contacts on the computer.. I was thinking that I would have to sync with outlook first, then start up the new droid charge and sync the droid charge with outlook? is that possible or does Droid phones NOT sync with outlook contacts?
Far as I know, Android phones don't, but I'm not an Outlook user at home, so not sure.
Another way is to sync your BB with Outlook, and then export it to CSV format, which can then be imported in your google account contacts page and synced to your phone, but it seems a bit more roundabout than VZW's program. But perhaps it would save more data that way.
Use Google Sync on your BlackBerry, then open the Charge and login to your account and everything will be there
Sent from my Charge using XDA Premium App
is Verizon Backup Assistant or Google Sync best to use to move all my data from my blackberry to my new Droid Charge?
Google by far

Agreed, I used backup assistant becuase I already had all my contacts in there so it was very easy, backup assistant doesnt move photos or any other kind of data, just contacts.
so does the Google Backup move all the BB data? photos, contacts, calender, etc.?

I have finally catched some time and esited my contact list, so now ALL my contacts have adress, picture, mail, all numbers an so on...
For now I have backuped them on Microsoft MyPhone so that when I flash any rom can easily sync them back to my Diamond.
But question is,how to transfer all those contacts to android platform(so that all pics, adreses and other are still there)??
Anybody?
Not sure if it will work as I have never had the need to try but would creating a Google account and setting up synch with that do the job?
I have google account for a long time
But how to sync it with mine contacts?
OK, its another hoop to jump through but I am fairly certain that Seven offers the option to synch calendar/mail/contacts with WM and Android devices and a Google account. My PIM data is all held on an Exchange system so I have never used the contact side of Seven.
For those of you who have been looking for a way to transfer your contacts from your Windows Mobile phone to the Captivate, I found that Sprite has a way to do this.
I didn't want to post all my contacts on Google because they don't belong there since, in my case, they belong in Outlook. Outlook being the standard business client for the majority out there. I was looking for a way to get my contacts from the old phone (HTC Tilt2) to the new phone (Captivate) without posting it to Google.
I ran across this:

Make sure you have sync'ing turned off prior to loading the contacts to the phone for your primary account so you're semi-assured to not sync them to Google.
It worked well for me. I wish that Google would have had the thought to meet the needs of businesses as well as the personal side of using Android. I use my phone for both business and pleasure and am a little tweaked at the Android OS for not making an Outlook client that sync's with the standard contacts list. Yes, without having to load seperate software to store them in like I've seen being released.
Let me know what you guys and gals think about using Sprite....
I keep reading that phone contacts sync to Google. From what I can see, Google only syncs your contacts from Google to your phone and not your phone cantacts to Google. If there is a way to sync your phone contact to your Google account, I would like to know how to do it?
In other words when I got my Captivate AT&T transfered my contact from my old phone to the new phone. I then added my Google account to my phone and the Google contacts were added to my phone but the phone contacts did not go to my Google account. Phone has Google and phone contacts and Google has Google contact only.

There is a Outlook plugin/app you need to install in order to sync contacts from Outlook to Google. Search and you will find it. I don't know the name of the plugin or app becaue I don't use it.
Microsoft also have Outlook Connector that you can install to sync contacts from Outlook to Windows Live accounts. Then you can setup your Android phone (or Windows Phone 7) to sync with your Windows Live account using Exchange ActiveSync. Or you can setup GMail to import contacts directly from your Live account.
I use Kies to keep them sync'd
how have you guys been syncing your Thunderbolt to your PC? I use Outlook for contacts/calendar and Chrome for a browser. This is my first android device so I am lost trying to get all this stuff on the phone. I had a windows mobile 6.5 phone prior to this and it made syncing a snap. Any tips would be appreciated.

They have a app for 39 bucks which requires 2 other apps to sync which is a rip in my thoughts .... what i did was export my contacts to a csv(windows) format file onto my desktop. From there i logged into my google account online, imported the csv file under the contacts page, and advanced. and then once the contacts were uploaded online, went into settings sync on my phone and added the gmail account there and everything was sync'd for FREE
*** For calendar appointments do the same
now u have the questions of updates, it's gonna be kinda tedious and i have NOT tried it yet but i was thinking every tyme i have a new contact or calendar item i will have to forward the individual contact as an attachement to my gmail and add to my contacts, and for the calendar appt i was thinking i can email the calendar appointment to the gmail adcount......
Googleapp sync will NOT work unless u have a GOOGLE Business account, i tried and failed :-(
Hope that helps
I tried using htsync but it locked up my pc every time.

If you just enter your google account and keep synch on it should work both ways... editing either from the phone or your computer.
My wife has stored all her calendar events to her Phone Calendar, which is "non-syncable." I am changing her phone, and need some
means of syncing her "non-syncable" Phone Calendar to her Gmail calendar, or at the very least, exporting her Phone Calendar data so I can
upload it into her Gmail calendar.
Please help!
What is the easiest and best way to transfer just my contacts from my current BlackBerry Keyone to my new Google Pixel 3? I don't want to transfer anything else. Thanks guys.
Just use Google. Backup on one phone and only sync contacts on the new phone.
As long as you logged into your google account on the Key One, then all your contacts will automatically load when you sign into the Pixel.
Manually transferring contacts hasn't been a thing since 2008. lol
