I don't know if anyone else gets this, but sometimes I'm reading through Tapatalk or reading an ebook, and the screen just randomly times out every five seconds or so. This is getting a little aggravating.. I press the power button once, and I hear the lock sound; and then I press it again to return to the lockscreen. Any ideas? Please help!!

Sometimes my handy randomly lock and unlock. It's like the power button gets pressed automatically. also sometimes the APM shows up, and if i press back, it appears again and again, mostly 3 times, then the system starts new.only the system. If i charge it, the screen also randomly shows lock screen and a second later it's dark again.
It's like a ninja pressing my power button to troll me.
Could it be a voltage problem? Or a battery problem?
I'm on stock battery and OrDroid 3.0.1 and this problem appears since 4 days

Sounds more like a problem with the actual power switch to me, but perhaps the following thred will be helpful for you. I haven't read through everything, but some of the posts report similar issues.

Anyone else have their screen wake up for no reason randomly? Happens at least a couple of times an hour for me - screen wakes up as though I've hit the power key, but I haven't, the phone will just be sitting flat on my desk. No notifications, no nothing.
Stock, rooted....no Lightflow, no SmartStay, etc.

Hi, my S3 has a problem in that if the screen turns off and I immediately (well, fairly soon) press the home button or side power button to wake it up again.. there is a very long delay... so much that I only use the home button now, because I keep clicking the side button and often by the time the screen wakes up, it will have gone back to sleep because I had pressed the power button again.
So now I use home because home will not turn the screen off, only on.
Anyhow I'm sure it must be due to some app doing some processing when the screen goes off...
my question is, how do I track down the app? I have no idea which one it is
I have no problem to get the screen to turn on immediately, if some time has passed... let's say 30 seconds.. but often you need to turn the screen back on after it has timed out, so it's annoying to have to wait 10 seconds after immediately pressing the button.
btw. I use Cyanogenmod (android 4.3) but I don't think it's the cause because I don't remember this behaviour when I first installed it.

I'm interested as well, I really wish samsung would improve the wake time on their phones. My HTC turned on without delay

I seem to have an issue where my note pro's wake time is so slow.
When i press the home button or power button it takes around 3 seconds before the screen turns on. Is there anything i can do to make it faster?

[Update] the screen suddenly wakes normally now. I did not do anything..after two weeks of use it fixed itself.
Does anyone else get this issue:
Sometimes, when I try to unlock my phone, the screen remains black. Sometimes the capacative buttons light up, but not all the time. Double tapping doesn't turn the screen on, pressing the power button doesn't turn the screen on.
I just press and hold the power button when it happens to make the phone restart, and then it starts optimizing all the apps on start up as well. This has happened 3-4 times in the last day. Very annoying. Any ideas how to fix this would be much appreciated!
