I am in the San Fernando Valley (Woodland Hills Area) and my 4G is usually Rock Solid, but right now when the 4G is lit I can't get on the internet, but if it drops down to 3G it works fine...oy...really Big Red...Again???

I've noticed this as well in the east los Angeles, commerce area. Ever since the big Lte blackout we had a while back ehrpd went down and never came back up now I've noticed that it came back up so it might be that they are restoring ehrpd so the tweaking of the network might be the cause of the spoty/non existent service

Have you tried changing the setting to wcdma only? I was working in downtown Boston and my phone would lose signal all the time and after I changed it to wcdma it seemed to hold the signal better

Same here, san francisco, 1x or nothing. Tried going into cdma+evdo/lte, cdma (prl auto), nothing but 1x. Actually had to use wifi for once.

I'm here in Houston. Verizon signal just went out for about 5 minutes, thought it was just me but same for my girl's iphone.
Now I"m on 1x if im on cdma auto lte, or lte mode only.

In Carlisle PA running CM7.1 alpha on my Tbolt. I thought it was my radio?! No data for about an hour, then 1x.
1x in north texas, did three-dimensional ##778# crap again yo het rev a, guess Verizon didn't pay all of their bill again, they only have basic service with no features! Lol

Last night had 1x only for 3 hours: South Eastern Virginia.
Anyone having DL speed issues in NYC today? Speeds were awesome this morning, 20mb dl and 6mb up. Now I can't get over 1 mb in dl but uploads are still good. I'm running the 402 radio and a co-worker is running stock and his speeds are effected as well.
If so, this would be my first LTE semi-outage. I'm new to Verizon and was wondering if these things are frequent.
Same in Boston, upload speeds are fine but can't get over 1Mbps down. I've heard they're supposedly working on the networks right now. I don't use 4G all the time, this is the first I've personally seen speeds be this slow.

Hmm, well atleast I'm not alone. On the phone with Verizon, they show no issues in their system. I'm rooted and my co-worker isn't, same speed issue though.

I'm in Chicago and 4g has been fine for me the entire day, 16 mbps down and 4mbps up right now. (jefferson park is my current location)
Seems to be the network as a whole here in NYC. Another co-worker has the droid incredible (Stock unrooted) on 3G he normally pulls 4-5mb and can't get over .40 currently. Glad to know I don't have to flash different radios, etc.

I work in the basement of an office in the suburbs where 4g is spotty so constant 3g has been great on battery life

yea it was perfectly fine at work last night, was watching my shows on youtube and flash sites since my job hates me with the killing of flash and most websites access
Been on the 3G network the last 3 days here in Atlanta. Today 1X only. Called Verizon they are currently experiencing issues in my area. Also said Please allow a couple of days to regain full speeds. I recently updated roms to BAMF 1.8 Remix. Had good 4G for a couple of days befor this so Im pretty sure its not the ROM.
I've been on campus all day using wifi, but I did notice that it kept showing 3G when I moved between repeaters. NJ right across the Hudson.

Are you guys experiencing networks going back and forth from HSPA+ to 3G to EDGE then back to HSPA+ then again back down. Signals in my area are decent. I need to know what's going on. I lived in Ohio and unrooted. Any ideas?

I live in a very saturated(great network) are and while mine doesn't go all to Edge, it does switch back and forth between HSDPA and UMTS ALL FREAKIN DAY LONG! I thought my phone was defective till my wife got her brand new one and it does the same thing.
I think this goes unnoticed on a stock rom that has the H+ icon rather than 3G and H like AOSP... or other custom roms.
Q.Q they better come up with an update that will fix this issue soon enough.

My Blunderbolt has not been connected to the 3G network all day. I live in the Youngstown area. Has anyone else been having this issue? I thought it was me and that I had caused a problem by flashing a new rom to it, but it sounds as though others are having issues too.
Let me know and if there's any fix that I can do myself, let me know that too.

I am on BAMF 1.0.9 and have been since it was released, so it's not a ROM issue for me.

I'm running the new eternity rom from virus with the most recent radio.
I just did the rev. A trick and now it works again. Yaaaaaay.
Same problem in Akron on an doff Monday evening and in Ravenna Tuesday afternoon. I did pick up a spot of 4g on 76 west just around 14. I typically loose or regain 4g between brimfield and Tallamadge exits. Maybe Verizon is upgrading.

Clearly an issue with authenticating to Verizon 3G eHRPD and 4G LTE network. If you were previously successfully authenticated and the lifetime timer hasn't expired which would otherwises force a reauthentication or you haven't toggled airplane mode then you probably still have data. If you've completely lost data you can at least restore 3G EVDO since it uses a different authentication method that still works by doing ##778#.
It's been 3g, 4g and out completely sense 2pm here in Kettering.
