Only if your cable provider supports it.
Thunderbolt «» das BAMF Remix

Slingplayer mobile. of course you need to have a slingbox... My most used app by far.

http://atdhenet.tv/ is the website my dorm-mates and I use to watch games not offered on TV. I've accessed it on my phone in the past, and over 4g/wifi there are zero hiccups.
It uses flash, so make sure you've got a charger if you want to watch the entire game.

Even if they don't you can just pick one that does support it and get something like 4 hrs of use before you have to actually log in. So the op would have no problem watching one game like he wants to

Another option is tvmov.eu
I've used it to watch most of the Bulls games while at work or in class

Thanks guys got to see my Bulls win big last night. Firstrowsports worked flawlessly on my T-bolt thank again~

Firstrowsports.eu I use it in the stock browser play since we have flash player. I've used it for every playoff game. Great site.

What should I add to my Tab for a 19 hours flight?

I will have to make a back and forth trip in a couple of weeks that will last about 19 hours per way... so I'm planning to use my Tab to have some fun and try to make time to past by a little bit faster.
Besides putting some movies in it (by the way, to play divx AVI files, do I need anything else than the standard player?), what other programs would you recommend me?
Maybe some puzzle games such as sudoku to pass time? Default media player should be fine but I'd stick rockplayer on there too.
I play a lot of angry birds and let's golf and also use the kindle app a lot.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
Aldiko and some ebooks, podkaster and some podcasts maybe?
An audio book or two for while you're playing puzzle games. Flight Control is always an entertaining one for passing time on planes.
If the plane has plugs take the Samsung charger

Hmmm didn't think of Sudoku... I'll have to install it.
I'll test the stock player, if not, I will have to think about a new one...

Android Apps?

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question but what are the best mind blowing android apps paid/free that would possibly blow OS iphone out the window ??
swype! not available at the market, but you can sign up for the beta at swype.com
also google sky map.
Hmmm. It got to be all of the Google apps. Swype. SIPDroid. Google Voice (lol which is a google app). Springpad.
Yeah, pretty much all the Google apps. Plus the Super Nintendo emulator AutoDesk Sketchbook Mobile Express is pretty awesome too. As for Swype, it was there on my phone when I got the thing (LG Optimus S).
Aside from that, I'm new to Android myself so I'm curious to see what other people have to say as well.
Google Earth - Or has that been introduced to iPhone? I can't remember...but I personally LOVE it.

Yeah! And best: Apple doesn't want emulators on their phone.
And if you need to impress iPhone Users even more, just show them a youtube video inside the browser - one which says "not for mobile devices" in the youtube app. In dolphin mini I open the youtube video, go down the page an choose "Desktop" for this.

I actually signed up for their playpack this past Friday. It works well on my Internet connection (15/2) and the selection of games are good enough for the amount of gaming I do. I also bought Dirt3 after the fact due to the additional discount. Tons of fun on both the phone and PC.
Just signed up myself actually, but sadly no free Lego Batman. Tried some demos and they played incredibly smooth.
Do I have to pay a monthly fee or can I just purchase the games I want to play?

The Android Market is being re branded as Google Play. You should get an update via the market.

Now if only we could get a check-out feature. I use a pre-paid credit card on line and I'm charged a buck per transaction. I'd like to get a few of these games and songs they have on sale but buying them one at a time adds up.

That's his sig.
I ran into this a while ago and this is what i found out after a few days of frustration:
The reason you can't rent movies is that you have superuser.apk installed. The movie companies are kind of forcing google to not allow rentals on rooted phones (I guess cause you could possibly get around the drm easier?)
There are a couple ways around this.
1) you can unroot via superoneclick
2) you can buy the movies, then go to YouTube via your browser (set it to view the site in desktop mode) and watch them that way
3) there was at one point a gabled version of Google videos that took out the part that checks for superuser, so i bet he did it with Google play movies too.
