[Q] Audible Selection Problem - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone else have a problem with their "audible selection" sound? Meaning the click that should play every time something is pressed? I have that option selected in the settings, all my volumes up, yet I don't hear anything when I click stuff or the keyboard. All other sounds work though, even notification tones...
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I also have this on my transformer. It doesn't happen all of the time though. Sometimes a reboot gets rid of it. I have also had the volume just stop working until a reboot too. Since the 5/13 update I haven't experienced either problem...yet...

Sensation sound stops working?

I've got klaxon installed, a few other apps. Some morninga my alarm makes no sound at all. Reboot phone and it works again. Tried other alarm apps, it is the phonea sound, not just klaxon. hoping it's software related.
Anyone shed some light?

It's happened to me a couple times as well. I had my volume at full and received a text message and the phone only vibrated. Had to restart the phone both times to get sound back.
Happing to me to all the time ..
You Can Fix it by calling voice mail .. seems to work or reboot.
Its happing to me all the time now .. really getting pissy about it.
I had this problem too, as I use my cell phone for my morning alarm. I was using the stock alarm. It only vibrated instead of making any other sounds.
After setting the alarm to snooze, when trying to change any other sounds the display would only show Media Volume and nothing else. Even attempting to change the volume in the master Sound Settings didn't work.
Placing a call to voicemail did allow me to change the Notification volume after I hung up.
Someone on the T-Mobile forum says it happens after using Voice Search: http://forums.t-mobile.com/t5/HTC-SENSATION-4G/Speaker-issue/td-p/890855 I used Voice Search as a test last night and I did notice that after hitting cancel I didn't hear the tone, but I didn't think anything of it. I think my sound went out before I used Voice Search for the first time?
Hope this gets fixed soon.
At least I'm not crazy.....
I'm having the same issue, and while I wish it didn't exist, I'm SO glad to see others with the same problem! I thought I was losing my mind. And even more than that, HTC says it's a known issue? Do they have any idea what it's related to? Before I master reset my phone....
I called T-Mo this AM and they thought I was NUTS! This is a raging pain in the behind. Is there anything to do to "work around" this issue in the meantime?
I <3 my Sensation, but this is a sucky problem.
My audio cuts out if I use the In-Car mode for Vlingo with the SafeReader feature on. Tried it a few times just to be certain and then I have to do the inevitable reboot.
Uninstall talking Tom and problem goes away,I did that and haven't had problem since
I have to think it's a sense issue. No talking cat app here and my audio always cut out when playing my videos.

Same here no talking tom app and happens all the time calling vm will bring back sound.
No sound when trying to play Pandora (or anything)...happened only twice. Rebooted and it worked, but not sure what caused it other than Sense?
After about a week I only had this issue once (the first day I got it). Every now and then I'll hit the volume buttons to make sure it doesn't say "media volume" so I'll be able to wake up in the am.

just happened to me :/
A little while ago I lost all sound(ringtone-notification etc) I called VM and no go. I than rebooted and still no go I then pulled battery and rebooted and the sound came back on but very weak(too weak to begin with) I then did hard reset and it seemed to go back to normal. I have missed numerous phone calls lately and it now appears that the phone was not ringing. I am having other issues as well a the moment. I called CS retention dept and they are replacing it but claim that the volume issues are not known issues. I guess I should have called HTC instead, but I have 6 days left on buyers remorse and since this is my third one (first 2 were unusable) I have got to make a decision to keep one and wait for update or just return and get refund. I really do like this phone and would be very hard for me to return for refund but this is what I may have to do.

I agree with that. It may not be the only cause of the "lose all sounds" bug, but it's one of them. I was able to duplicate it over and over, and e-mailed HTCs tech support with the following:

Hello. I would like to report a bug which can be replicated in the HTC Sensation 4G handset for T-Mobile.
On more than one occasion I have lost all audio from the phone including ringers, sound effects from applications, alarm tones, etc. When this happens, on the main screen the rocker switch on the side of the phone adjusts the "Media Volume" instead of the Ringer Volume as it should. The only solution I've found is to restart the phone.
I am able to duplicate at least one cause of this issue on a consistent basis. Pressing the magnifying glass button while inside of an application causes the "Speak Now" dialog box to appear. Pressing cancel returns me to the application that was running, but all sounds stop working.
Follow these steps to duplicate the issue:
- From the main screen, press the lower left button (to the left of the "Phone" button) on the screen to go to the "All apps" screen.
- Select the "Teeter" game app that comes pre-installed on the phone.
- Begin playing Teeter. While playing, press and hold the magnifying glass button next to the edge of the screen (I was pressing it by accident with my right hand as I was holding the phone to play the game).
- The Google "Speak Now" box pops up over the game.
- Press "Cancel"
- Resume the game
- Repeat the process of holding the magnifying glass button until the "Speak Now" dialog pops up, and press cancel again
- All sounds from all applications vanish, and the rocker switch only adjusts the "Media Volume" from the main screen. Restarting the phone is the only solution I've found to remedy the situation.
Please advise as to when this issue may be resolved.
Thank you,
Me

I've already nearly missed my alarm because it was only vibrating instead of alarming, and it's irritating to have to reboot the phone anytime the sounds stop working. I hope they resolve this soon.
i have a same problem with sound phone, how to fix the problem? can you help me>

[Q] Asus TF101 Problem with Google+ Hangouts

As we all know, Google updated their Google+ app to include the ability to start and join mobile hangouts from within the messenger portion of the Google+ app. And the good news is that I can get in to the video chats. I can hear the other person talking and everything. The only thing that is bad is that the other people cannot hear me. When I check the little microphone icon in the bottom left to see if maybe I have it disabled, it seems that it is by default set to disabled and I cannot change it. I double checked to see if my microphone was faulty but the sound recorder app works fine. Anyone have any resolutions? I've been searching the internet up and down and can't find anything.
I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem but I hope not and hope someone can help.
Nothing? I'm desperate here...

Well this is depressing.

I've also experienced this Google + Hangout bug with the TF101 Asus Transformer but have discovered a work around.
During the "Check your hair" screen, before entering a Hangout, click the mic icon to mute, then enter the hangout. Once in the hangout you regain the ability to unmute the mic by pressing on the mic icon again.
Very odd bug. Thought my mic was broken so tried a ton of tests.
I am so happy that it can be "fixed" by something so simple. you are awesome!
I got the same problem since the TF101 auto update.
I have no video on the TF101 when hangout. Audio works fine always, and people can see me, but I see nobody and just can hear them.
I have Revolver Rom, I'll give a try to another roms to see it...

(Q) volume "jumping"?

I don't really know what else to call it but I haven't seen anyone else mention it. Whenever I have music running, at random when I touch the screen, lock/unlock/wake up my phone, or open an app, there will be a really quick high spike in the volume. It happens with the stock music player, power amp, and n7player. Anyone got an idea of what's going on or ever experienced it?

Have you installed Music Volume EQ? It happens if you close that application.

Do you have tones enabled?
In PowerAmp somewhere in the options theres something about loose focus to other players can't remember exactly but that should be disabled also DVC should be on if not.

Is that the EQ that comes with the stock player? If so, then yes.

I usually keep my phone on vibrate when I listen to music just because I get annoyed when I get a text and the tone blocks the song out for a second or three. I'll play around with poweramp and see what happens!
Has anyone else experienced this?

[Q] Beep sound when adjusting volume not sounding

Hello,
Isn't there a sound when we adjust the volume of the tablet with the buttons?
I think there is, and I cannot listen to it..while all notifications work fine (new email etc, alarm etc) and tablet isn't at mute mode..
What is wrong?
I never had a beep sound when I adjusted the volume on my TF700t. Maybe there is a way to change this in the settings. Otherwise find an app for it.

Funny. I also thought there is, but now I tried it and there is no sound. Maybe you confuse it with your phone (just as I apparently did).
I am(..probably was) above 55% sure that there is a sound :/
I've installed audio manager and as I was using the levels there(increasing them) --after each try I used the volume buttons to check for the sound--, I heared the sound..but now nothing again
That's weird
And yes I am sure I have one at my phone but I think(/thought ) there was one at my tablet, as well..

Google Now quieter than anything else?

Got my phone last night. Played around with "OK Google," and asked about the weather and such, just like I would do with my Nexus 4. The voice reply seems to be extremely quiet in comparison to the ringer and notification sounds (which, while not *that* loud, are much easier to hear than the voice response from Google Now).
Anyone else experiencing it/have any potential fix/know some setting I'm overlooking that would fix this?

If you try a volume booster mod like with Franco kernel it may help.
