After streamfurious failed on both G2x and X10, I have to find another streaming radio application with custom URL, and give xiialive a try.
Yes, it not just works on both, but it has more streaming format support. After a few hours of trial, I paid 5 bucks to buy full version because I think it much worth to buy.
Try the free version and put a few custom URLs on favorites to see.

It's possible aac+ is no longer to support 2.2 and higher because I got error with streamfurious with aac+ stations.
To play these stations, you need tunein radio.

I want to play HD videos on x10. Primary .mkv and .mp4. Which app ?

I like rockplayer, but wtf is up with the buttons? They are so annoying to use lol
Just moved from a much loved HTC HD2 WinMo with EnergyROM over to an HTC Desire S (God loves free upgrade handsets, lower monthly bill and much more benefits) and I'm looking for a top notch free solution for a flac player.
Any thoughts?
I downloaded a 'Free' app from the Market, which happened to be a free trial, and I don't mind using it as a stop-gap but I thought I'd come to see the experts to use their wisdom
Oddly enough, Winamp from the market didn't want to pick up flac files.
Although not free, Power Amp supports FLAC and is an awesome player.
However, check this out for a free FLAC player. Can't vouch for it, but seems to have been well received on the thread.

I thought there is a free and a pro Power Amp? Or are you saying that the FLAC is not available in the free distro? Anyway I would recommend it and if your going to stick with an app you really should cough up the dough IMO.
I found two flac players for now. PlayerPro and PowerAMP. Player pro can't play properly. PowerAMP can play but have some issues. PowerAMP is recommended. By the way it's not free in legal
There is an app called andLess available through market which is free and simple FLAC player.
i prefer the music player in cyanogenmod,, it can play flac music too
Just to add to this thread, WinAmp pro plays FLAC now, though it is also not free.

I bought Power Amp and forget about the other players
Maybe ttpod? Its free, suports flac and have nice EQ
i use the Rockbox android port and it plays FLAC just fine. The best SQ i've had on my phone. Though there are some issues with understanding .cue files, the player is good.
Can anyone tell me what are the best settings to encode movies or a good free program to use?

a player that encode it on the phone while playing is mobo player and i use handbrake to convert it on my laptop! i think this is what you want to hear!
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
+ 1 for mobo player or rockplayer, with these u won't need to re encode anything.
DICE Player. Plays 720p mkvs smooth.
Look no else.
Good alternative is MoboPlayer and RockPlayer though. But if you want to watch MKVs and all that, DICE Player is what you're looking for.
Are any of them free i dont want to pay off the dtore as ibread that my bank will charge me as a import currency

Look for the post in general that I replied to someone asking the same question. Miro video converter is the easiest but no batch processing. Pick nexus preset.
I want a good media player that can handle divx and MKV files. I heard about diceplayer, but its not free. Is there a good free player or thats the only option?
rockplayer works well for me, but there is a limit it can handle, i think 720p mkv is the highest...dont quote me on that tho, i dont watch a lot of HD mkv's on my fone, thats what my lappy is for
720P is fine for me.. thanks!
I really like Vplayer
I currently use moboplayer but I'm not sure if it meets your needs.
I heard mobo player is best. I have it as well

giving mobo a shot now, i really like the interface...lets put it through its paces
EDIT* wow..just wow...i stand corrected, go with mobo player, its f'ing sick, really slick interface, and the controls are superintuitive and unobtrusive
I use Vplayer because Moboplayer gives me audio issues on some MKV files.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
try this one
MX Video player is great, is supposedly optimized for dual core and has hardware acceleration enabled. it has played everything i've tried.. u might like it. free version has ads but you won't see them if you have a modified hosts file

Vplayer was my favourite until the developer went against his original statement of it will always be free and then changed it to a paid app.
MoboPlayer has played every video i have ever had my my Sensation (and previously DHD) without any problems.

I had a couple MKV's that it wouldn't produce sound for. I wish it played everything I threw at it because the interface looks better than Vplayer.

I have the lorax blue ray rip. Its 720p, 3.5 gb large, .mkv file, and encoded in x256.
When i play it with rock player its all skippy and not even watchable, but it plays the audio just fine.
When i play it with the default player the video is just beautiful, no skipping at all. However no audio plays. What can i do to fix this? Other blue ray rips play just fine and the lorax i have plays fine in other computers.

Just encode it into something that plays. Mp4 on a phone will still look beautiful. I use handbrake but there free or free to try out there. Check cnet downloads.

I perfer mxplayer. I get 0 issues out of it
Motorola lied and I'm still locked mb865
Mx player is the best, even vlc plays a broad spectrum of formats. A HD movie in avi format wasnt playing properly in MX, which played flawlessly in vlc.

+1000 for MX Player. It is so good I paid the $5.60 for the paid version, which does nothing extra except no ads. But I felt the Korean developer deserved some money because it is such a good product.
Dice Player is the best, at least on the Xoom.
