Dual sim adapter for I9000 with big accu? - Galaxy S I9000 Accessories

Hi,
I have a Samsung I9000 international edition with a 3000 mAh accu (giving me ca. 3-4 days of time with ca. 20-30 min of talking or surfing). Now the problem is following:
I am moving from one country (Germany) for a period of time (at least 6 months) to another country (UK) where I will be getting a second SIM since I will be staying in the UK 4 days and spend the other 3 days in Germany. Unfortunately, my company will not cover phone/internet costs and I have to organize this on my own.
I would like to get a dual-sim-adapter as I intend to get a SIM in the UK in addition to my German SIM (Alice-O2) so that I could simply switch to the adequate SIM at the airport when I come to one of the two countries.
Has anybody experience with dual-sim adapters with I9000 and if so - which dual sim adapter would you recommend? I would prefer one that does not require cutting the SIM card(s).
Thanks for you help in advance.
Pavana
P.S. or should I just get a second android or any other flexible phone (not a cheap solution)?

Wish I could help. I have a similar battery set-up and there was room for a no cut dual sim adaptor - so I bought a really cheap one - which did not work. I think I saw a posting somewhere that MagicSim will work????????

[Q] Help needed with Sim Card Adapter

I recently switched over to AT&T and picked up a Moto X and a Nexus 5. After getting all of my accessories in the mail for the N5 I decided to switch over to it to use it as my daily phone. But after removing the sim card tray for the Moto X I realized its a nano sim. I was going to buy a sim card adapter to switch between the two until I seen all the bad reviews. So, should I just take a lose and just spend $25 on a new sim, or does anyone know of a sim apapter that will not mess up my N5?
Not sure what you meant by messing up? Please be specific and/or link incidents relating to the N5 & Moto in question.
I've been using Noosy brand adapters for 2 of the 3 sim sizes just fine - except for the nano ... Always exercise careful when pushing the tiny tool into the pin hole.
If you insert the sim/adapater slowly & carefully into the holder, then push it in to lock - it should be fine & not moved around.
I have gotten free T-Mo sims as spare, just in case (otherwise, it's $10 or less with agents/resellers.) My understanding is that AT&T should give you a free sim if you are switching devices - but $25 is mad crazy - go to another corporate store. If you are going to switch back & forth between devices using different sized sim, use of the adapter isn't an option, it's necessary.
Another thing to note: please do not insert an empty SIM card adaptor into the SIM tray. you might end up getting the adaptor stuck inside the phone.
If you walk into a corporate AT&T store they will replace the SIM for free (and insist on activating it on the spot). If you call customer support, they will send you a free replacement SIM which has to be activated within 3 days.
Thanks! I'm going to give the adapter a try. I still want to be able to go between my Moto X and the N5.

Ditto on this one - I did it to my N5 and had to take it apart to get it out. My own fault for not thinking through...
With the Moto X sale going on tomorrow, I was having this same situation.
Are the Noosy brand adapters the best? I'm not that worried about price but I would prefer something from the states (Amazon Preferred). Aside from putting an empty adapter in the phone and not jamming it in quickly, is it pretty fool proof?
Is T-mobile pretty easy going with switching out a micro sim with a nano or do they charge a fee? I could also go the route of cutting it myself. Are any of the cutting tools that useful or is a steady hand manual the best policy?

Warning about sim card adapters

My LG G Pro 2 I bought a few weeks ago is broken. The reason is because I took the nano sim out of my iPhone 5s which I have now sold, and put the nano sim in a micro sim adapter and placed in the LG. When I removed it, the nano sim fell out and the adapter hooked onto the sim card reader pins and broken them when I removed the adapter. Tried getting it repaired but no one seems to be able to. Have had to purchase a second one, as I really like this phone. The broken phone still works, it just can't accept sim cards, so its now essentially just a 5.9 inch tablet. If anyone is interested in making me an offer on it as spares and repairs then let me know, I will be listing it on ebay in the coming days. An expensive mistake I'll never repeat. I have got a new micro sim from Three network for the replacement G Pro 2, and I'll never use a sim card adapter again.

That's too bad. I hope you're lucky with your new phone. I would have ordered a new one as well as I really like this phone so much. I use a micro-sim adapter myself as I had a Lumia 1520 before but that screen is so bad and Windows phone hasn't convinced me. It's still too slow for apps like parking apps. The G Pro 2 is the best phone I ever had until now with a great user experience even without CyanogenMod. Thanks for warning me.

Just listed the one with the broken sim reader on eBay UK for those who are interested. The replacement I got has a flickering screen after 10 or 15 minutes of use so getting it exchanged for a new one. It will be my THIRD G Pro 2 in as many weeks lol.

£100 Smartphone ?

Hello,
I am going to buy a new smartphone soon and I only have £100 to spend on it. What I want from it is to have a big screen (Maybe 5"?) with a a quiet large battery so it would work a bit, maybe dual sim and to be able to root it easily and put custom Android on it such as CyanogenMod etc. The rest stuff like camera, NFC etc I don't really care about, The most important for me is the screen size and battery life and various modifications I can do with such smartphone. What do you guys think and what would you recommend to buy ? I have found Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 16GB 13MP Unlocked from Hong Kong for a £100 on Ebay but I think that price for such device is suspicious, what do you people think about it ? The eBay item number is 111849677878.
Many Thanks !

A good phone for 100 quid is hard to find. They will start most likely around 200 quid. Try looking for the OnePlus One. If not new maybe used and it will save you some money. I see the OnePlus one starting at 200 quid atm.

Dual SIM and Micro SD enabled

Hi Guys, can this be possible for Zenfone 3 ULTRA? Did anyone tried this?
You comment will be greatly appreciated.
thanks!
I do not have the ZenFone3Ultra but have the Huawei P8 Max which I am selling if anyone is interested to get the ZenFone 3 Ultra. On to your question: I think this would be a very risky thing to attempt on the phone because it could damage the sim contact pins. However, I know that unlike the P8Max this phone uses nano sim slots so potentially, if the phone is fully disassembled a study of the sim/sd slot could be made to either trim the sim card to fit along the sd or on top of each other. Again this would require some sacrifices.
Here is my other theory that could potentially resolve this issue and I am going to try this when I get the Zenfone 3 Ultra: Buy a dual sim Bluetooth adaptor and wirelessly connect to your phone to activate the dual sim(the second sim or even a third sim) and keep he sdcard inside the second slot that way your phone becomes Triple sim. I have one already and there is many versions of these adapters with really small sizes. I have used one before and it was a perfect operation but on a Xperia Z Ultra and all simcards (triple) operate on standby so need to switch on demand.
Ohhh. Here we go again, I have another solution that I have tried with Samsung Phones and I will try with the Zenfone 3 Ultra when I sell my P8 Max: goto magicsim (search on google) and grab yourself a dual sim 4g compatible adaptor and simply slide the sim contact plate into the sim2 slot with the microsd card sitting on top of it and the circuitry will stick out of the phone but if you use a non-transparent case this would hide it but this method gives you dual sim on demand as you would have to use the automatically enabled simtoolkit app from your app drawer to activate he sim slot. Also, sim1 slot can be used but whilst using the 2nd sim via the app your sim1 will temporarily disable until you finish your use on sim2 via the adapter.
And finally, here is a stupid suggestion(NOT REAL-DO NOT TRY AT HOME) that someone came up with on their iphone 7 to bring back the 3.5mm jack. Watch the video below and get your DIY skills tested and get some NOT SO REAL/DANGEROUS inspiration:
http://www.phonearena.com/news/iPho...-trying-to-drill-a-new-headphone-jack_id85788
If anyone tries this method or any of the others, please share your findings below and hope you enjoyed reading.
Thank you AWFRONT for the reply, I may need to wait for you once you got a zenfone 3 ultra, i did try to create the mod and failed, sometimes it stucks or wont fit, and did destroyed many sim cards. I will also look for the dual sim adapters you mentioned, wish we have that one here in PH, anyways, thank you for the advice.
Hi AWFRONT, did you get yourself a Zenfone 3 Ultra? Until now, I cant get an answer to my question
yes,you could do it by extend cable combined microsd and SIM together. I am very happy using this PHONE now.

Hi! I still have not got the ZenFone 3 Ultra as I find the current prices ridiculously expensive and will look to get it in the next 2 weeks hopefully and will use my MagicSim dual sim 4g adapter on it to experiment with full dual sim and microsd. I will update the thread with my findings. My P8 Max DAV-701L Titanium Grey is still for sale if anyone is interested.

I just found a similar on amazon, the cable is a lot bigger(12cm), but it works the same way. This should work on other phones too.
Search for nano sim cable extender.
Hi,
I've combined the sim and microsd card. I used double-sided tape, rather than glue + using a mini industrial file brought the thickness of the SD card to its bare minimum. I lost x2 16gb sd cards and x2 sim cards in the process (+ quite a few hairs). If you are inclined to do this, I'd really recommend practicing and kind of perfecting it gradually. It's highly risky, but worth it. I now have an additional 200gb storage (SanDisk 200gb), on top of the standard 64gb. I've almost got the perfect phone now. I tried the sim extender cable method, which also works. But I kept losing signal strength. Maybe due to the hard case cutting into the cable (I'm not sure what big fan of the soft cases).

My Ultra 3 slows down & has a somewhat jerky UI if i use 2 sims plus an SD Card with the help of the Sim extender. Does it happen to your phone too?

Htc u11 motherboard single/dual sim

Does some of you know if single sim motherboard fits the dual sim htc u11... Can't find any information about its dimensions.
I have my almost new htc u11 with audio ic failure, and cant find broken dual sim variant to buy, only single sim on AliExpress...
Thanks in advance
Without being 100% sure, going by standard business logic and production facilities methods, it should fit just fine.
No company would decide to spend more money ( thus using two separate production lines ) for 2 products that can be made to be manufactured on the same line.
As far as I remember, some people were trying to turn Single SIM u11's to dual sim and the only difference they noticed on the motherboard was the missing sim 2 connector/contacts.
So yes, it should fit just fine.
