[Q] where do I get Icons from?

hey guys!
I have one simple question.
Where are you downloading all the icons for your modded themes?
I want to change some .png´s in the framework-res.apk with Ninjamorph, but i don´t know where I can get the icons from.
hoping for soon answers.

I get mine from various theme files.

Also try http://iconspedia.com/ and, my personal favorite, http://dryicons.com/free-icons/.
Basically, all you need is icons in png format and you're ready to go!

But the size isn't important, or? Can I take every icon I want or do i have to take care on something special?

They might need resizing to the same dimensions as whatever you're replacing.

also try http://www.iconfinder.com/

And how can I resize those png's?
If possible, I want to do it with my device and not with pc.

Sorry for bothering you. How did you root your phone? I'm running the ***20, not 24 or 26. I'm not a computer geek or wizard.

Stock Nexus S (static) wallpapers.

Sorry if this is the wrong area. Just figured while everyone's here getting their GB ROM's they could pick this up as well. These are all the stock Nexus S wallpapers. Not live but still some nice ones in here!

Using a couple now. They look awesome. I've uploaded a few of them to Appbrain Wallpaper as well.

is there a proper way to install wallpapers so you get the entire image without having to crop it and losing part of it?

Yeah, is this a flashable item or something else? I went into the directory and none of the images showed up...(just said "Test image" in that copyrighted, photo-proof set kind of way).

When it's asking you to crop it, just anti-pinch (drag out with two fingers, whatever you want to call it) to expand the box to take up the entire image.

Sorry. No, extract to your pictures. In the zip is a folder containing all wallpapers.

Can anyone post the zip file for the colorful pink ish polka dot wallpaper on the nexus s? Its not a live one, just the static and I've downloaded the nexus-wallpapers.zip and its not in there.

Hey guys and gals, I was wondering if anyone has seen or is developing a Honeycomb Themed Keyboard For the X. There is a lot of nice KBs out there but I haven't seen anything that resembles Honeycomb anywhere. Input would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank in advance!!!!

I was looking for something along the lines of what Swiftkey did as far as their color scheme and style, minus the split KB of course. Here is what I mean....

Exactly. The regular Gingerbread KB with The neon Highlights fading out towards the top Just like what they did on their KB.

you will probably have to know how to use adb as you will probably have to use it to uninstall the one on ur phone and then use it to install this one, also what ROM are you currently using?

I am on Liberty 1.5 and Yes I know how to pull and push with ADB. Thanks!!!

ok im having problems because i found where the colors are for the letters/numbers but its not compiling correctly so wont install. However if you like swype i can make one like swype, i actually prefer it and actually themed mine a green color to match my mnt dew theme

Can someone make a hc themed swype for the deodexed gb leak. Plaease..mayne im a flashable zip

Do what you gotta do brother. We are just very thankful for your efforts!!!

I downloaded a Honeycomb keyboard from a theme called Liberated HC. He posted a separate zip file for the keyboard so you don't need to run the theme. Just flash the keyboard zip
Can't post links here yet, but just sharing info because I absolutely love this Honeycomb keyboard.
(Wont let me upload screencap image url either yet)

Had this one on Liberty before i switched over to Gingerbread. Very nice KB. Good lookin' out!!

Transformers decepticon boot animation with optimus sound

I no longer have an evo and do not actively check any threads i have created for the evo in the past, if you have a question and I do no answer in a timely manner please send me a private message and I'll do my best to help you out.
Heres a boot animation that I found, it's the transformers decepticon logo and digital rain looping, with transformers audio. I don't know who made the original animation to thank them but if someone knows please let me know so I can give them proper credit.
to use this open terminal and type
adb push bootanimation.zip /system/customize/resource
adb push SPC_final_animation.mp3 /system/customize/resource
Thanks guys, I'm still trying to make a better animation using screen caps from the movie but it's already 3:30 am and my wife is gonna kill me if I do this all night

i made 2 sense ones (w/sound, no sound) and 2 aosp ones (also w/sound, no sound) tell me if they don't work or something. written in amend, so doesnt work with cwm 3.0+

you need to resize both the actual .png files (yes, each one individually) and the desc.txt must be modified to support that resolution you resized to.

When I checked the sizes earlier they were right 480x800 is right isn't it?

Ok I found the problem, the call outs in the base desc file were incorrect, I'll have to change it when I get home and am on my laptop, for some reason the set up is for 320x480 I have no idea how that happened but I will have it changed it'll probably be about 3 hours or so though.

I was waiting for someone to do this! Are the zips flashable through recovery, or do I replace the existing bootanimation file with this one?

Ok I fixed the problem, I'm uploading the new one now it will be in the original post.
Rob the zips I uploaded must be pushed through ADB
DK's are the flashable zips

i'll update my flashables with the new boot.zip probably later tonight.

I've been looking for a nice boot animation to include in my ROM, but couldn't find anything matching the name 'Nitrous ROM' not specifically the name, but something to do with blue fire, speed, fast, etc... So I would like to ask you to help me out with this.

Being a drag racing fan how about a drag racing theme. nitromethane burns blue out the pipes and nos will actually turn blue out the headers. cant get faster than 300mph in 1000 feet lol just a suggestion ... carp

I ended up seeing your YouTube channel and found the second one, and man it looks beautiful, I would love to release it with the new version of nitrous Rom this weekend, 1.3.5... Thanks for your hard work...

The first one was good, the second one was WOW!! Very nicely done!!
