I do believe this is a known issue. The problem is in that the app checks for an IMEI. Being that none exist...

Same here on Vegan Ginger. Hope they get it working soon.

Same here.

CM7 nightlies and pershoot's latest = FC

Well, there is a fix... sort of... Some people have had success with it whereas others haven't. It involves spoofing an IMEI on your device.

The new beta that they released is supposedly 60% smaller than the last release and 25% faster than the stock browser. Check out the article about it: http://phandroid.com/2010/11/04/firefox-4-beta-updated-speed-boosts-push-it-ahead-of-stock-browser/

Ah, that sucks. The thing that keeps me from trying Firefox Mobile (besides it taking up around 17 MB), is that the UI hasn't been optimized for MDPI yet.

New TnT firmware update - 3452

I just got auto update from TNT. Anybody tried it so far? What are the changes?
First we've heard of it here. I bet they patched the kernel up with our lag fix though.

Hard to say what this is. The notes on the TnT updater on my emulator haven't changed.

Need the app called Quadrant from the market.
Supposedly there is no change in quadrant meaning it must have some other change in it.
Edit: I'd hold off on flashing the enhancement pack unless you are adventurous. It probably needs a little modification.
Install quadrant from the market. Stock wasabout 1800 mods/ROM 2400
Hey, unless somebody beats me to it, I'll be the guinea pig !!
I was already going to go back to 3053 stock, so what the heck....
I've already downloaded the update, so I'm moving the file over to my Gtab...
Jim
After doing factory reset, it's 1750.
My emulator is showing the update - so either they leaked another UAT (which is very possible) or this is a real official update.
Second time it's 1831.
Since there are no notes on the Viewsonic website I think this is going to be like 3316. They make changes, throw it out for a little bit and use the Guinea Pigs, I mean us... to test it... Then a week later or so they will advertise a new update..

for people who are experiencing Market crushes after installing CM7, see this!

Market Crush happened to me when I used the old version of Market.
Then I downloaded the latest version of Market app (3.3.11)

After updating Market app to the lastest version and clearing the cache, crushes just went away lol
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the market fix. I'm pretty sure hw accel and overclock are not yet ready . If this uses stock kernal I'd say no till a custom one. Anyone with more knowledge then me care to check me in?

Have you looked at the build.prop thread? This has the necessary entries you will need to put in the CM7 build.prop.
Yes I have, but I couldn't find anything related to hardware acceleration
I'm the guy from the original thread. Add this line:
debug.sf.hw=1
To your build.prop and reboot.
BTW, thanks a lot for the link to the APK. Working flawless for me now.

Hey, Just had a quick question. Should CM7 have had Market installed when I first put it on my KF? Because mine did not, and I can not get the Market working for the life of me. I have it installed now but every time I try to open it, It prompts me to add a Gmail account. After tapping add account it just closes out to my homescreen. Any ideas?
EDIT: Fixed my problem.

Random Reboots

Lately, I've noticed my SGS4G randomly reboots itself. I'm not exactly sure why, I haven't changed anything about my phone since the latest Valhalla version came out, and it never rebooted itself when I first flashed the ROM.
I have CatLog (logcat reader) and aLogcat, but I'm not exactly sure how to use them to be able to tell what happens to my phone just before it reboots itself. There are so many lines that I don't know which one to look at. Can anyone please provide some assistance? My biggest worry is my phone rebooting or shutting itself off at night, and my alarm not loading properly, causing me to miss class in the morning.

What kernel is that running? I think (I might be wrong) it's bhundven's subtly modified stock. The versions past beta 2d (for me) have that issue. If that's the kernel it runs, go check the dev section for bhundven's kernel.
Yup, I have his latest kernel, v0.1.1-rc1. I'll try to downgrade to beta 2c and see if the reboots stop. Thanks for the suggestion.

Seems like the problem, for me at least, was Bryans latest kernel I was using. Downgrading to beta 2d stopped the reboots so far, I've been up since 8am and now it's 3pm. I'll post back tonight for further results.

No worries. Glad the problem is solved. I'm back on his latest kernel for testing. I've only been on it for a few hours, so I'm going to give it a day or two to see how it goes.
The thing that gets me is that the kernel worked perfectly fine from the time I flashed it up until a couple of days ago. I'll reflash the latest version in a few days to see if I can see what's triggering the reboot.

raver nor myself have been able to reproduce this issue. i normally run pandora and android irc all day. not to mention i brick my unbrickable moded phone a lot (lately); when i do i flash sms kj6 one-click, flash bootloaders, flash v0.1.1-rc1+, wipe to factory, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, reboot, let the phone sit for a half hour. This allows time for the main OS's cache to build. I usually charge to 100% before flashing and plug it back in while it sits for the half hour.
After that I manually re-configure my phone settings and TB restore my apps (not my data, just the apps).
I dont trust system settings/data being restored across different roms.

Hi Bryan
I enjoy your latest kernel 3.1 beta for the past 2 days (on HebrewValhalla ROM) and it's simply awesome.
I only had problems on 2d. 2c has been great as well.
To me, it seems that all reboots ppl were getting were related to Black Valhalla tweaking more than to your kernel.
Anyway, f#k it, if someone is not content let him flash other old kernels, i think you're doing a sacred work here.
You deserve a bier house.

My reboots were not attributed to Valhalla Black as I never loaded it. I reverted to beta 2d and the phone was stable. I'm back on his latest beta after a factory reset to see if it helps. Thus far, I am OK but I want to give it a few days to make sure.
I agree that Bryan's work is great. Unfortunately I think Bryan is leaving or is gone already. His kernel thread in the Dev section is closed & his signature indicates he's leaving. I wish him the best.
Sigh...it just randomly rebooted. So it seems that a factory reset doesn't help the issue.
I will be reverting to beta 2d again shortly.
Lol, wtf @ the signature. Seems rather childish. Anyway, I have exams for the next few days, so I'm gonna wait until those are done to wipe everything and try the latest kernel over again.
The problem just may be our phones. I'm sure there are hiccups in the manufacturing processing while the hardware is being compiled, so I doubt all of our phones are exactly the same. We may be that "lucky" few, Stephen.
Give me logs, don't give me logs. Can't reproduce, you're doing it wrong. I'm leaving

Yes, I have. I got a new phone and did the 2.3.6 update via Kies Mini then put Bryan's kernel on top of it. When I go back to beta 2d, it doesn't happen. I'm not sure what the deal is.

Unfortunately camera has failed

Hi,
I am new to the skyrocket forums but have had a t989 since release. I recently rooted my brothers skyrocket and put aokp on it. Everything works fine except camera crashes on every launch. I have tried extracting the camera.apk from 4 builds and pushing it to system apps and still doesn't fix it. Does anyone know what's going on or how I can fix this?
Error message says "unfortunately camera has stopped"

Have you tried any other version of aokp like chiamara or a different kernel?

try InstigatorX's cm9 kernel, but use version 2.8
I used to see that error from time to time. But using the camera the second time would work fine.

I did actually use one of the ics one clicks, but that didn't fix the issue. It's odd because returning to stock using odin doesn't fix it either, yet audio and voip w/ skype still work just fine. One of your nightly builds temporarily gave me audio, but after a couple of hours it stopped working again.

I had the same issue and was only able to find it was something from my titanium backup causing it. I could load any rom and it would work fine. Soon as I ran my batch restore, my camera no longer worked , even on restore to stock. I then did a fresh install of a from, fresh install of all my apps from the play store, and brought over only the most essential data from tibu and haven't had the issue since.
