i'm curious to make app that will not be seen by user in his/her mobile.. that would start on Boot. and will not be visible in android uninstall list as well !!
need help of you guys...

If you install it in /system/app/
it shouldn't be visible in 3rd party uninstallers.
If you use Settings->Applications->Manage it's still visible.
how to hide it in "If you use Settings->Applications->Manage " ?
any trick ?

Not that intention ! want to us it for 1app.
This seems pretty shady. I don't see why you would need to hide the application from the user's Application List.
...and you want it to run on boot? Hmm...

Regardless of what you intended on producing...I don't understand why NOBODY has actually given you a proper answer.
I think you asked a critically smart question...as I am a new member...I joined this forum ONLY because I was looking for the answer to this question.
I am not a developer (even though I would love to learn)... but I need to know how to discreetly add apps.
The Story:
I have installed a spy app on another phone of mine. (SmsBox)
I need to hide that software completley from the list of apps AND from the "Manage Applications" list in the settings.
I want it to run in the background constantly and do what it already does.
IF someone has a solution for me...(or gets an idea on producing a new app with this feature)...please let me know.
(Since I don't know how often I will be visiting this site...Please email me at : [email protected]

I found this thread also looking for some way to hide (maybe disguise and lock) locator apps.
I think it would be really useful to hide anti thieves apps. They're almost useless if anybody can just take a look at the apps list and throw em away.
I've been looking for an app with that feature (among others) with no luck (Watchdroid the closest, but can be removed along its disguise and password protection).
So... any advice?

You could write a text-mode application and just compile as a bare executable (not an apk). Just add that to your startup script (does android use init.d?), and it will be invisible to most people. You'll need root, most likely. (might be able to push over adb, then run via shell. Not sure what the permissions are on some things).

Avast anti-theft can be hidden from launcher, disguised in settings and survive a factory default wipe on a rooted phone.
Hi XDA folks, a friend of mine is looking for a 3 in 1 app that includes the following functions, it doesn't matter if it's paid or not:
Antivirus;
Anti theft with GPS tracking;
and a function like the where's my droid app, that lets your phone ring when a given password is sent to it.
I couldn't find one so I thought to ask about it here. I hope you'll be able to help me, thanks in advance

There is a free antivirus in the market named "avg antivirus" works well but you don´t need it if you don´t install apk out of the android market
ANTIDROID THEFT"" is for localize your phone and does not import if has another sym.. since the web page of this apk you can find it
and for the last thing use simply LOST PHONE FINDER for example...
3 APP IN 1 with this functions does not exists...
well only for the CIA or FBI officers.LOLOL.it´s only a joke mate!

i'm buying android phones to the employees, i know that we can lock a certain app with (well) another app, but i need to lock just some process, like only the mobile networks and gsp settings, but let them configure the sounds and notifications....
Is there any app that can do this??? or a way to do it with scripts or something like that???

I have 2 ideas (requests?).
1. Like a monolingal which is a OSX's program. It will keep some locales which we chosed and delete the other languages.
2. Additional Locale. not like a morelocale2 and so on. additional locale which device have not (not hidden). Normaly, it's too difficult for noob ( I heard specilist can add locale).

i was planning on making an app called Floating Dock, it was a redesigned mac OSX doc for android, on the home screen the dock would be there, but anywhere else to access the dock you needed to slide up, but i dont have the time to make it, i actually only finished the dock icon so if you would like you could continue that?

I am wordering to have an app like Super BT Hack (For S60V3) through which you can read others sms, contacts and make the others phone ring via BT. Is there any app existing with such capabilities. If yes then name it and if not please develop it because it is a very good tool to keep an eye on the activities of your loved ones.

I found perfect site for creating apps...Yesterday I ended up on some site called apps-machine.com . I have to share it with you guys. I started creating my own app and after 15 minutes clicking on their control panel(no programming,just clicks) I made app in what user could make effects on their photos,paint photos,play music,play videos,have notepad,chat and stream music. They got literally 1000's of features on their control panel I think this could be a gold mine And I read something that they have free app development and so on. Aaand you can change everything all the backgrounds,colors,tabs...and you instantly see it on that same page through their simulator..don't know how they managed to do that but it is super handy...I am super excited at the moment..time to get some apps on apple and play store

I've got a problem with my HTC ONE A9, every time I am doing something on the phone and lock and then unlock it, the phone has already automatically closed the app and I have to redo everything that I had opened.
Worst is when you're outside and use a map app! I'll go crazy soon!
I've tried looking through the settings, but the only things that I could found that is related to this is "Keep awake" permission for every app, or am I totally wrong here?
Even so, hope that someone here might have more expertise and help a newbie out!
