Battery drainage? Eb 1.0.2 vs 1.0.3 - T-Mobile LG G2x

Ever since I flashed to the newest rom of eaglesblood(1.0.3) I've noticed a significant loss in battery life. I've tried calibrating the battery, but I still see no difference. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me? If so, what can I do other than using the battery calibration, taskiller, and fast reboot apps to improve battery life?

CM7 Battery Readings

I put cm7 nightly on my g2x and noticed that the battery readings are not accurate. They don't seem to update at regular intervals , thus giving inaccurate battery life. Anyone else notice this?

CM7 is no where near complete yet. You'd be better off posting things like this in the development section.

Cyanogen has reported that the battery drivers are not fixed in CM7 nighty. So the battery info is still pretty much worthless (just as it is now).

Odd battery issue

I have ran into an odd problem with my n1. My battery is going from 25%-30% to dead. It charges fine, and logs show a normal discharge rate until about 25%, then its totally out of juice.
I was running CM7 when the problem started. So I went back to stock. Same problem.
Time for a new battery? I've just never heard of this issue before.

It is probably because your battery age does not properly reflect what your battery is capable of (which changes over time due to natural degradation). Have a look here on how to calibrate your battery...

Wow, that app is amazing! Totally fixed my problem. Thank ya

Does your battery last longer or is it just more accurate?
Your battery need to replace new one.

Battery usage page wildly inaccurate

Running cm 7.2 stable. Co custom kernel or anything. Seen this with other Rom and kernel as well
Go to about phone and battery usage
Some random app would show up as using lots of battery but when I select it, it does no cpu usage
Map often does this too
Any idea? Seems that battery usage counter on this phone is a step down from useless

Despite what people say about clearing battery stats, it can most certainly help with odd battery reporting. It's true it won't "calibrate" your phone, but I can say from experience that it has helped with showing more accurate usage.
I will say this though. When the G2x first came out, it was widely known that the battery drivers for it were horrible. While using CM was a huge improvement, it's never been where it should've been in reporting accurately.
Nope, calibration didn't help.
Probably what you said, battery drive just plain suck.

[Q] mediaserver using up battery?

While checking my battle usage today, I noticed an unusual amount of battery being used by something called "mediaserver." I have had less than optimal battery life after installing the latest version of CM10, and I'm sure that's the issue, but I'm wondering if there is a way to fix it without downgrading again? Has anybody else noticed this problem?

Battery levels really jumpy

Hello, ever since flashing cm 10.2 on my phone, I've noticed that my battery was being drained extensively by Google services. A full wipe and re-flash later, it was fixed. Well, during those two flashes, my battery level has been erotic.
I can go 4 hours with normal drainage and then the phone casually reboots, and then says I have 9% or so remaining. It will "charge" itself to 13%, reboot again, and it the battery will report that it has around 20% or so, and drain normally.
The battery life has diminished a bit, but that could be because of age, and it barely lasts me 8 hours.
Does anyone know of any solution other than buying a new battery? Recalibrated has helped, but not by much.
As always, any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks,
magnetboard

in around a few crashes and drain wipe, the battery report can be way off
after a few cycles, it should normalize
if your drain persists, look to wifi drain, cpu regulators, wakelocks or rogue apps updates causing drains
Thanks, right now I have better battery stats to analyze wakelocks and apps and then I have greenify and system tuner to freeze Google services and apps. Hopefully this minimizes drain.

On beanstalk 4.3, mine was not juicy at all.
Reverting to 4.2.2 made mine erotic as well.
Who knew a misspelling could be so much fun? I meant to say erratic... Sorry
