Memphis LTE August 18th

According to this tweet from Verizon's News Feed (@VZWNews), Memphis can expect LTE to rollout on August 18th.
Let's use this thread to share when we get LTE in various spots of the city that haven't had it before.
And as always, GET EXCITED!!!

Ha! I know! I work in Cordova (Appling/Whitten) area. I live just east of Memphis in Fayette County. I go to school at the University of Memphis. Somewhere in there is bound to get LTE. lol

I work at poplar and white station. Lte extended is like 5 blocks from me. Lol. I drove on 240 near the airport JUST to see 4G on my phone for literally 7 seconds.

I know I'm showing my nerdy side here but occasionally if I get bored enough, I'll drive over near the airport to play on LTE. I even took my laptop over there and tethered over 4G. It was BLAZING!!!
Cannot wait!

I think I've seen like 4 people off here that's in or very near Memphis. Pretty cool.

Trust me. Once Verizon releases a press release saying that LTE will be in Memphis on 8/18, then they'll all come out of the woodwork. lol

4G pops up on my phone for short periods pretty regularly between 3 and 4 am, off of Rivergate. I'd say the 18th is likely, I haven't seen 4G tested here before.

That's a good sign...I'm hardly ever up between 3-4am.
Looked up Rivergate. Says its near downtown. I don't think that's in the current 4G area. Wish me had someone further north that could say the same thing.

+1 top 3 of 5 were about 2.3.4 coming out OTA. It does suck to open up general and a few seconds to look.

Costco Epic Failure

The Costco website currently says the New Huawei Mytouch Q is running android 4.0 ICS. When you click on the phone and look at the information about it, it says currently running android 2.3 Gingerbread. Wow Costco. Epic Fail :laugh:

Go to Google and search for "at&t go phone apn settings", should find you some answers.

Go with Straight Talk. AT&T prepaid is a ripoff compared to that.
I've been using straight talk on android phones for a while now.

Well the phone is locked. And the sg2 skyrocket is not unlockable via AT&T. And we already tried straight talk. And where we are there is never any service for straight talk but go phone works great

You're right there have been a number of useless comments, but do search for "unlock for free i727 xda" on Google.

I'll give that a shot. The reason I turned to XDA for help on this one is because usually people are help full. And the phone is not mine. Its my mothers. Who is nowhere near. I'm deployed at the moment. So it isn't exactly easy to do much.

Its cool, I've just never used any phone with go phone. At&t reps told me that a 4g phone is not supported with the go phone network yet. I've googled many times and found many mixed answers that don't really help. Some saying leave MMS proxy blank, some saying you have to use a username and password some saying otherwise. I was hoping someone who has actually used a 4g phone on the go phone network could give me some insight.
