1.2 bootloader we need devs - G Tablet General

I was reading some posts about honeycomb on adam and saw that there bootloader was the same as the 1.2 gtab so kernels are interchangeable! this is very helpful getting hc stable on our tabs!So im asking all the great xda devs to maybe migrate your builds to 1.2. Its the future of gtab since viewsonic doesnt want to grace us with sourcecode Norton has and bringing us gingerbread! The only way to make this work on the g is to start using the 1.2 bootloader!! Please make the G the best tablet it can be!!! Thank you hardware acceleration anybody!! there are CIFS/NTFS/OC support kernels avaliable for 1.2 bootloader now from pershoot.his zpad new bootlader kernel! I forgot zpad is now using thye new 1.2 bootloader now also!!!

[Q] Honeycomb rom??

Hey, i heard that there was a new honeycomb rom going around the web for the nook color. It is said to be a preview of the real honeycomb, but i wanted to make sure if it wasn´t usefull for us??. This because i see developers like cyanogen mod and vegan going to gingerbread when honeycomb is already around.
Anyone knew this?
Havent seen any update from our beloved developers and i think it is because gingerbread. Wouldnt it be better to start working on honeycomb(tablet specialized software) instead??
Is this rom real(really a honeycomb rom), or is it just an adaptation?
Any ideas?
Here is the official link. XD

is it possible to install it from clockward mod??, i want to install it just for fun and see what happens.
That ROM was built from a preview SDK. When the Xoom hits the market the developers will finally have something fully baked to work with. Trust me, these developers are looking to the future and preparing for Honeycomb, but they're waiting for an official ROM to work off of.

And as to your question about whether or not this particular ROM will run on your G Tab... definitely not.

Flashing Other Firmwares On P6200

Hello Developers,
Just bought P6200 for month,
First Time using the Honeycomb...
But I hate it now, Cause it's eating lots of RAM,
Can I Flash The T-Mobile Firmware (2.3) on my device??
And why not Developers build some custom ROMS for it... Hate original!!!
I used to using the MIUI on my GS2, and it got at least 4xx ram free...damn!
Thanks.
If you want to brick your device, then go ahead. GTab+ wasn't officially developed with gingerbread.
Gingerbread is optimized for phones. Honeycomb is optimized for tablets.
If you want more free RAM, try the Supercharger script.
Why not flashing the miui rom of the sg2!!!
Kidding aside, you can't flash a rom of a similar device. The P6200 and the t-mobile sgt+ are two different machines inside.

[Q] Any development for TF101G?

I see that most of the ROMS under development are for TF101.
Just curious if there are no development happening for the 3G version of the device (TF101G).
i think TF101G need to wait for ICS which 3g can run
yes, we must wait till asus release oficial ics update for our toys.
i hope that we will not wait forever :-\
we pay more, and no ics there... sad.
You shoudl try tf101 roms, it works but no 3g support
The g has essencially the same hardware as the regular one so as soon as the first ics build for the g comes out most devs will be able to create a flashable zip the adds the right modules and tweaks for the g meaning that the g will have all of the same roms

looks like 3g capable builds are here (without official asus support... )
i'll test them today evening

A100, Rooted. How do I install just the OC kernal

Hello. Just bought an a100.
Rooted it, Super user and TI installed.
Im currently happy with the stock ICS, ATM Im not looking to install a custom rom.
I do however want to overclock my tablet. I'm a bit disappointed in its performance in benches/games, And I see that most users can hit a 500mhz overclock.
Can I install the kernel from androids stock recovery mode?
Thanks.
Currently, there are no a100 kernels capable of overclocking, due to the fact that Acer has yet to release any source code for devs to work with. There are a few kernels that claim to perform smoother however. That might be worth looking into.

Overclocking Stock ROM/Kernel

Hello everyone, this is my first topic on XDA after lurking for a while!
Anyways, today my topic is going to be concerning an Android Mini Tablet called the PlayMG. It's a WiFi tablet by a startup that's now gone bankrupt. The actual name of the device (development-wise) was the ACTScom A930. It was supposed to be a small 4 inch tablet like an iPod Touch with Android. You can find various info by googleing the name.
The specs go as stated:
ARM TCC8920 @ 960 MHz
1 GB RAM
4 GB DDR3 Storage
Android 4.0.4 ICS
Geekbench test:
http : //browser.primatelabs . com/geekbench3/356000
(sorry, I'm new so I can't post links until 10 posts)
The device was pretty cheap (around 90 dollars) and since then I've rooted it. I had to use SafeRoot because there is virtually no support anywhere for this device. As you can tell from the specs above, the device is fairly weak. My goal is to overclock the device to run at around 1.10-1.25 Ghz, however I'm stuck on the stock ROM and kernel. And as you can probably guess, there is no one to develop and overclockable Kernel for it. I have a few questions that I would like answered:
I was wondering are there any methods to overclock the stock kernel? Is that pretty much impossible?
Are there any ICS (or any) kernels that might work on this device?
Could I build the Kernel myself?
^Questions regarding this:
-Since the company went bankrupt, I can't really obtain a stock kernel, Could I somehow extract it from the device itself?
-If I were able to get the kernel, where can I go on XDA to guide me to building an overclockable kernel?
Does anyone have any ideas on how to overclock this device? I'm accepting all ideas, good or bad!
Thank you everyone in advance. All responses/knowledge is welcome!
Im also looking forward to this... Have a samsung galaxy star pro... Have compiled stock kernel from source successfully... It works... Nw i need to add oc nd everythung... How shuld i do it??? It is a spreadtrum device...
Anyone?
