Can anyone tell me somewhere they have the transformer on display in the uk so I can try it before I buy?
I've been to carphone warehouse but they don't have any on display.

PCWorld has them, Comet has them.
Just depends on area.

I tried out the transformer in Currys digital/dixons on Oxford street in London. They only had 5 in stock though and i bought one of them.

most of pc world stores in London I've been to have a number of tf in stock.... between 3-5
So after much debating I decided to finally get rid of my g2x since I've been using the sensation more and more. I was planning on selling it about a week ago but the vibration motor died out on me. Today I finally received my replacement from tmobile and to my big surprise the one I got has no light bleeding at all!! So I figured I would post it here right away before posting it on ebay seeing as pretty much everyone has been complaining about the issue.
I will upload some pictures later since im using the phone app right now. I still have the original box and everything that came with it plus two cases that ill throw in there for free.

Not to hijack your thread but I finally got a replacement today also with no bleed and it seems to be fully functional. I'd be looking to sell also same price as this poster as to not to compete with any potential buyer from him. I only have 1 case from speck sold in Tmobile store(black) also have charging dock sold in Tmobile store. Will ship from Dallas TX. Have a PayPal verified account and my eBay account is flawless user name is iheartapplemacs

Good luck. I sold one of my G2X's here about 2 weeks ago and only got $260 for it. It was in mint condition with no bugs.

Yeah I would pay $200-250 for an extra G2x but no more really. It would be tempting at that price
I've been thinking about getting a backup one for a while now. *hint hint*
I bought mine on eBay for $255 plus shipping in excellent condition. The ones that were in mint condition only went for slightly (maybe $20) more. $300 would be the ultimate top end if you got super lucky.
I pretty much said $320 for negotiation purposes lol. Probably will end up going for around $300

Well I saw his post and figured I had two options make my own which would still be a form of hijacking...his then mine and if I undercut in mine I'd be screwing him... Or just post in his let him know my intent is to not compete but be equal so that they can both go. Thought it was the more mature approach. However it's always easy to see maturity doesn't go far on xda.

I honestly don't mind lol if people think you're giving them a better deal then that's their opinion and there's nothing I can do about it. Also if mine doesn't sell over here it'll sell on ebay or craigslist so I'm really not that worried about it

hey everyone
I am in the Marine Corps and I have just returned from Afghanistan a few days ago.
I got an ATT One X and have not been able to find a root method that works.
The Phone is on 1.85 , so if anyone knows where the freakin files and threads are for rooting this thing PLEASE throw a link up here for me, I do not have the time with work and everything to be searching around following dead ends for hours and hours,
any help would be AWESOME!

My wife's best friend's son just reported to basic in the USAF today and a good friend of mine just deployed to Afghanistan for a year.
I'm going back into the Navy next year. I won my case with the BNCR. Long ass story but I've missed it , in truth not a day goes by where I don't think about it.

I am looking into buying the Infinity but am concerned about the Q/C issues that I have been reading about. I am adding a poll in the hopes that I will be able to get a better visual representation of how many tablets people have gone through before getting a tablet that doesn't have any issues. It is also my hope that this poll will help others who are in my position. I know that there are other threads detailing the problems but I am hoping for an easier way to see the actual results. great poll to run and showing the results that I have experienced from Asus products. I have had a TF101, then a TF201 (standard GPS issues) and now my TF700T. Also have a UX31E ultrabook that works just as great as my transformer.

I didnt tick anything on the poll. But I bought one and exchanged it for a note coming next week. If i dont like the note Ill probably take another stab at the infinity when JB comes out.
Third one was perfect for me. First had badly bonded screen, second was worse still, third seems to be fault free, now unlocked running zeus 4, very happy.

I bought one, returned it and didn't bother with another. After issues with the 101 and 201, I'm sick of farting with Asus.

Check out my post on blotches on my screen..I may be selling this on kijiji when it comes back from RMA.. not impressed as the keyboard had to be fixed one due it separating on one corner..

I have gotten my second Infinity yesterday, since the first one had serious clicking issues.
Guess what? This time: clicking frame + slight light bleed AND the wrong colour!
I really don't know what to do...
Should I request a new one or just ask my money back and buy something else?
What do you think?
Only one like most people. People that have problems will always scream louder than those without. The forums here may seem negative at times but I guarantee you most people are more than happy with there tablets.

I am most likely going to hold onto the Infinity and then when the ASus VIVO Windows 8 comes out , I will get it.... you guys feel that I should be able to get a good price for the Infinty as long as I keep it in good shape..with the keyboard dock??

I Got screen lifting issues still waiting for a replacement Infinity. It's been 2weeks no word yet, anyone getting screen bleeding and I don't like how the tablet gets air pockets under the screen if you press a little too hard on the screen. I've had random freezing issues and the screen just blanking out for no reason. Have to reboot to get the screen going to again.....Weird.
I must say, im very pleased with Amazons replacment\refund policy, my new tf700t is on is way. Mine currently is experiencing a random line through the screen when doing online reading ( not very often but enough to piss me of on a 500 dollar device) and the screen is starting to pop up around the bottom edge. So I talked with Amazon's customer service and they are very pleasant, and got the replacement on it's way and I get to use this one till it arrives. Pretty sweet deal all without leaving my chair sure am glad I didn't unlock my boot loader!!!

I requested a return on the 30th day of ownership and got the credit for it.
Paid $12.00 for expedited shipping, used my points and paid $459.00 for my Infinity!

I concur. I was able to return mine that I dropped onto a concrete floor after one week of ownership. I fibbed a little, but they didn't question it. Heck, I didn't even have to speak to a rep. All online.
