your really not fooling anyone anymore, making a bunch of threads so people think your new then go back to the same stuff you were doing, its really pathetic. for somebody who just get a heroC today that was a very long guide to have complied and to have tested extensively after finding out about this site just hours ago from a sprint employee. then asking how to make a better community its a pathetic ploy. also the other big give away was that on both of your profiles (xda-dev-knowledge, and this current one) you have friended the same person who's only friends are the 2 of you. This is not the way to make friends and influence people, instead we catch on and call you out.

this intrigues me because in one of your other threads you thought flashing was an app. also it was a splash screen thread which cant be flashed the same way as a reg rom hmmmmm.

I started a port of this to our heros but I'm porting it to CSRoM. If you are using that then your good to go but if your using CM6 and want to port it to that it will be alot easier as I've resized most of the images for our heros.

Yeah, still working on it. My hero was RUU'd to the 2.1 official .5 build and I spent all last night trying to root it and get a CM nightly on it for testing. It did not go well.
Anyway, with such adoring fans I suppose there really isn't that much need to test it myself, and I already know what to do if things break, so I've been working all day on getting the mdpi image elements ready. You guys have a slight advantage in that it doesn't take nearly as long to batch resize than it does to remake everything from scratch for a smaller screen

I second that. I'm running 2.7 about to go to 2.8 tonight, and would love to use this on mine.
So ive decided to start deving my own bit of droidness this is a WIP rom and am building using ACS's build of the ec05 once aosp is released officially i will be switching over to that but until then I will get started here.
There has been a slight change i will be building based off of official Samsung release of the ec05 build from scratch I will be including the 6 mod lock screen as well as some other various changes which will be disclosed upon release in the changelog.
I would like to give thanks to pfftmedic for the help along the way here as well as chevycam over on droidforums as for he got me in to deving for aosp back on the og droid without him id be lost and wouldnt be doing this now.
I will be posting further as my work progresses and letting all know who are interested the updates of my success.
Slight delay - there will be a delay in the release i was shooting for this week but maybe a bit longer I dont want to just put out trash so I really want my first release to be something worthwhile and to build on.

Thank you all I had gotten in to themeing on the og droid for a minute was working on a really nice looking red white and blue patriot theme for droid but never got to finish it had everything done though far as the framework res and such just needed to go in theme all of the standard apps and keyboard but phone was done dialer etc was clean.Wish i had some screenies to show but i reformatted and didnt think to back those up since i was no longer using them but they would have come in handy now lol oh well just about done getting everything situated on the comp got the build.prop finshed up and the updater script for the rom just need to work out the framework-res and apps themeing wont be heavily themed however as I want users to be able to customize to there liking and not mine but I promise when aosp comes out it will be very nice as i already have a good foothold in modding for og droid froyo.

been on all day have not had to charge it moderate use flashed 4 times today and batt is at 80% with a temp of a cool 69 degrees. I changed some of the build.prop to allow for longer wifi scans and also added in some other changes to help with in shifting from app to app or screen to screen seems very smooth and great on batt so far just need to edit some of the framework and will have the beta coming hopefully within this evening.

tested for about, eh, maybe 10-20 mins. basically another miui it seems. don't let the size fool you though. uses more mem than cm7. still though, i said in would report back. it obviously has bugs to be worked out. wifi works, bt broken, reboot to recovery/download broken. didn't try anything else really. missed cm7 too much i guess so you know the rest of the story.

Well it still has some issues. The major one is not going to deepsleep. Then the force close from portrait to landscape and back again. I'm racking my brain trying to figure it out though because I've gotten way more Widgets from LG added

I still don't have a development box to start developing so that first before the WIP since I would need to pull the whole CM build and compile it just to make this recovery. I don't think my good old vps is enough to do this kind of job and I'm not also considering to reformat my windows PC just for this.
I think it has been a pretty good summer for development on our MT4GS. We've got a nice crop of ICS roms to choose from, either AOSP or CM or several Sense flavors. It's a smorgasbord! :highfive:

Do what I used to do and just buy a box for just $300 at a Best Buy and load Linux on it.

Well Sun_Dream has worked on our phone with a bit of Sense roms if you dig that.

Both seem solid, didn't quite test them out as I'm digging XMC's Jellybean.
Should be a lot of development when Sense 4.5 comes out though I sense ports coming.

Still won't be that helpful to me since we got a crappy internet in our country. Pulling a whole CM build would take me like almost a day of non stop downloading to do that
Unlike on a vps I could just pull both cm7 & cm9 in 30minutes

If it helps I could give you teamviewer access on a virtual machine on my PC to access its resources when I'm not using it. Its not the best available but I'm sure it can help.

Ok so where I'm at now. I have figured out I didn't need to use anything from the EVO Shift to get this LG launcher up and running. So its not a port anymore ( so it lost andromaus settings which were cool but caused wakelocks ), its more so a launcher replacement, all other cm9 functions work like they should. So right now I'm trying to figure out how to post it, and here are my posting options I can either
1. Just package all the launcher and widgets as a flash over for any CLEAN INSTALL OF AOSP/AOKP ( will need testers for AOKP ). And a certain set of gapps so the gallery don't get broken
Or
2. I can just pre package everything into a CM build ( gapps and all ) so nothing gets broken. Its your call here is a couple screen shots. And if anyone wants to give it a try just pm me ill get you a dropbox link

I don't know about other people, but personally I'd go with option 2. You will have a lot less bugs to deal with and give yourself more time to focus on improving it and adding features. I don't know what you think about that but that's what I'd go with

This is a relaunch of MrCoolHand's SpeedyMyTouch Port from 19 May 2011. Its been a lot of fun switching things up. There are 4 Options for DL. Two are Manly and two are for the ladies. (What that means is that the two that are for the ladies have a lot of pink high lights through out the ROM and the other two don't.) There is a NON a2sd version of each and an a2sd version. Please have a properly partitioned sd card if you choose an a2sd version. Otherwise it wont work. If you don't know what I am referring to, please flash a NON a2sd version.

Problems:
Bluetooth doesn't work.

DL to pc and move to the root of sd card
Do a full wipe
Flash

Please note that this ROM takes a while to load (up to 5 minutes) so be patient and let it settle. Thanks.
Also, the a2sd version is set up so that the apps are already on the SD partition at first boot. That's why it takes so long the first time.
Please make sure you have a properly partitioned SD card before flashing this version or it will have problems.

If I recall correctly there was also a headphone issue with this ROM orginally. I actually enjoyed this ROM as well back in the day but that specific issue kind of ruined the daily driver possibility for me, I use my phone like an ipod in my car so audio out is very important to me. Not sure if you fixed it or was unaware of that issue, so thought I would mention it. Glad to see further work on it I always liked it.

I didn't know about that issue nor did I think to test it. I've flashed back to my dd for the day because I need bluetooth for my job but I can check that out a little later.

From my experiences.... Always keep a live cd of ubuntu around. There have been many a time where I was messing with things I shouldn't have been messing with and made my computer unbootable into any os. I just got black screens after the bios lol
