I have an LG G2x, rooted, running MIUI. After about a year of use, my SD card is acting up. Its almost full, but I cant edit or delete most of the files on it. Ive tried formatting it, both from the phone and on my pc. Nothing helps.
Anyone got any ideas??? Thanks in advance.
Have you tried putting out into a sdcard reader then formatting from a pc

Yeah, tried that. And using USB storage on the phone.

I had one do that too. You're out of luck, I tried everything, even removing it during a format, just to screw it up. I asked everyone I know that knows anything about computers and only one person offered any sort of possible answer was that the controller had gone bad. You're also the only other person that I've encountered that has had this happen. Ironically the card was a Sandisk, not some cheap off brand.
Dang. Well, thanks. I just need a new SD card I guess..

Hello! My girlfriend currently has this phone and she's been experience network drop problems. On the T-Mobile support site, it said that upgrading to Gingerbread would fix it, and it did for a few weeks, and then the problem occurred again. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and fixed it. Thanks!
Have you tried a different sim card? Sometimes the sim is the problem

She took it to T-Mobile and they said it was the phone's sim card reader that was in the fault. :/
Sucks its still under warranty though right?

I got this notification on my SIII saying the SD card is blank? I am not sure what happened but all my photos are gone except for 1. I have downloaded Glary undelete (free undelete file softwre). I then tried to scan the card with the software and it says the card is not formatted, do you want to format? I thought I read here that if i format the card I will lose any ability to recover the deleted photos? Can anyone help me with my problem???
Check to see if you have any files in LOST.DIR

Same thing happened to me the other day. Just started getting a notification that "SD Card removed. Please insert a new one". All my pics, videos, nandroid backups, etc. gone. I put it into a card reader in my computer and nothing came up. Please keep us up to date if you find a fix and I'll be sure to do the same.

No luck on finding anything in the Lost.dir folder. Thanks for the advice the I really appreciate it!!!
I had it happen right when I got the phone, sucks. I make a habit of backing up to dropbox every few days.
I couldn't get it to mount one day, a quick spray of canned air into where the card goes seemed to fix it. It must get really dusty in there.
Another cool thing about dropbox, esp if you have the hacked 50gb account, you can "favorite" all of your music and it will allow you to listen to it without using data. I keep all my music in the favorite section, it takes time to do the first time but better than being stuck at work without music.
This has happened to me twice before. Turns out the SD cards died. Both 32gb sandiscs. Finally pay the extra for a Samsung 32gb class ten. Haven't looked back

I have the 32 gig class 10 sandisk and it just happened to me last night. Got the phone and card last Nov. Not sure what's going on. A different card works in my phone. Can't even get this cars to work at all. Did you get a free replacement? Got mine on amazon. Really sucks. Had a lot of stuff on there since I assumed it would be safe.

Always have a backup because recently I've noticed these phones tend to do this to the memory card.

Just got my SanDisk replacement. Sent it out last Tuesday and got the new one today. Just call them, it's easy. I got mine from Amazon too, you don't need a receipt or anything.

I thought you got your replacement from SanDisk somehow, not Amazon (hah)! Now I'm much more interested; Amazon has great customer support and that's where I bought it.
I bought it on Amazon but called SanDisk and they replaced it.

How hard do I have to push this tool in order to get the SD Card tray open. I pushed as hard as I feel comfortable...not wanting to break anything, and the tray will not open...
Am I missing something?
//Edit// Sorry...I had to push a lot harder than I thought I would. Got it.
Can you delete anything from your SD card?
