Is there any phone to raido transmitter app? - General Questions and Answers

is there an app that transmits songs to car's radio, like nokia phones do.

Unlikely, if you phone has an fm transmitter built in then it would be possible. You can buy fm transmitters that plug into mp3 players, if your phone has a headphone Jack then you could try that.
Good luck.

Well I'm actually looking for an app to stream music from my sensation to home theater using FM rds. I used to do that on my Nokia n900. Just open radio settings, set FM frequency to any thing like 99.0 and in music player there was an option that enabled FM transmission and vola ! play songs on any device that has FM.

I hope I'm able to expree my point.
I really miss this feature

That's not the same thing you asked in your initial post. The HTC Sensation DOES have FM RDS which means it can receive data from the radio stations such as the name of the station or program ("BBC R3 - Mozart Piano Concerto No. 12" for instance).
BUT it does not have an FM transmitter like the N900 or N97. So you cannot do what you want using FM frequency. (You could using Bluetooth).
I hope this answers your question.

Hmm yeah! Got it. Will try streaming via dlna. Unfortunately my home sterio does not have dlna, but my TV has, so I will have to set my TVs audio out to sterio and then stream it. Man! Its a long process. Wait, HTC has some dlna adaptor addon for older TVs and sterois.
Thanx for answers.

[Q] looking for a bluetooth handsfree fm transmitter with audio streaming

Looking for something to give me both handsfree calling and allow for audio streaming to my car stereo. I was looking at the tunelink at bestbuy for audio streaming, only it does not provide a handsfree calling solution. I do not have an AUX input otherwise i would use the belkin aircast. Also portability is important. Has anybody come across something that will do both?
hey,
hit up Wireless wave. they have a bluetooth speaker that does exactly what youre looking for. Its made by Jabra
Thanks just saw the same thing at best buy today. The Jabra Freeway. I think I am going to get it. Its a little on the large side as it has 3 speakers, while I don't need any (going to use the fm transmitter) but have not seen anything better yet.

Sent from my SGS2 LTE
I have read mixed reviews with that one. Do you do any audio streaming? If so how is the quality? That one is much smaller than the one I saw.

Bluetooth car kit to play songs in car

Does anyone know any bluetooth carkit which will enable me to play my music from tablet, something which connects through bluetooth and sends the sound to radio via fm. I bougth one from ebay germany but i hear gitter sounds in high frequecy, while the usb/sdcard music reading from the device itself works pretty good. The thing is i am more interested to control the music from my tablet/phone via bluetooth than pluging a usb/sdcrad with music on it, as i have to update regurarly.

FM RADIO still nothing???

I'm wondering if there is a kernel/rom that allow to listen fm radio off line.
thanks
Nexus s doesn't support FM radio
IT doesn't have the hardware. Use an app over wifi or.... Hmmm... Use a radio. What are the like 3 dollars for a battery powered portable radio. Honestly. I :banghead:

Buy one of those headsets that has a built in radio receiver, because NS doesn't have a radio for, well, um, radio. according to the laws of conservation, we can't just materialise a radio out of nothing/nowhere, no unless you're magic, NS won't have a FM radio.

Hardware it's inside the BT chipset, but it's missing the necessary wiring to make it work, as well the kernel driver...

yeah you know...USB and JVC Radio

Title says it all...STILL trying to play music via usb. Yes rooted using usb mass storage enable. Yes it charges the phone no music is played I get "cannot play" I have every cable you can think of run behind my dash including iPhone cables , and this standard usb cable is going to be useless if I can't use it for music..can't be this hard.
Nothing from anyone?
Does yours not have Bluetooth? That's how I play mine. Try a Bluetooth dongle if it doesn't.

Its not gonna work like that. You'll have to stream bluetooth or use an aux input. What model radio? I can give you the best solution.

I wish I knew off the top of my head..no not Bluetooth. Its a very good JVC radio though. usb and aux input.
I am a professional installer as well with over 10 years under my belt and I can tell ya if its not a new radio (less than6 months old or so ) it will not work. Only some radios support mtp and its usually brand new ones... if it doesnt work then it never will... use the aux input or get a new radio
I had no issues enabling usb mass storage on my S4 and playing with USB to my jvc... But no luck yet with my s5,kinda disappointing because the sound quality was so much better via usb
