I'm new to Android (from Nokia n900) and I hope to use the phone as a laptop replacement. Has anyone tried to run x11 apps like OpenOffice or Gimp on the external screen? Any thoughts on how I would start will be welcome and I'll definitely share my success.
Please read before you post. Questions should be made in the general forum.
Thanks.

Apologies. The mistake was actually answering the "is this a question" question wrong. My post is meant as an announcement of what I am working on and a way of finding other developers who may be interested. Formatting it as a question was a rhetorical technique.

Start, Settings, Personal, Today, Items; Uncheck Calendar? Is that what you mean?
Maybe you should start reading the manual.
Go here for PocketPC general questions. Do not come back unless you have a ROM upgrading question and when you do, post to an existing thread.
This link has been added to the sticky with a request to not discuss general questions here.

Have some respect for the community and don't litter the forums with off topic questions. We are not technical support.

you'd asked a general question in an "upgrading" part of a forum !!
how stupid is that ???
be thankful that others have been nice so far in pointing you in the right directions
is it possible to word wrap text as you zoom in webpages on wp7? like in android, when you zoom in on webpages, the text wraps to the screen.. is this possible in wp7? if not, are there any tweaks that lets you do this?
Not that I know of. Hopefully IE9 allows this as I did like that on the Android browser.
i would like also to know
you already posted this question in the WP7 General, here. Please don't double post in the XDA forums.

You're not a mod to be telling that to me.
Yeah I had this with Opera on 6.5xx - so it was a little bit of a shock not having it on WP7. Hope IE9 solves this issue.

It doesn't matter whether he is a mod or not, he is right. Please do not double post. Be patient and your question will be answered. We aren't customer service.

While the user in question may not be a mod, the way I see it he is perfectly entitled to ask you to refrain from double posting.
Please do not post a question multiple times as it will not lead to you getting an answer any quicker.
As far as I'm concerned, this thread has run its course as you have received a definitie answer to your question here, anything else is superfluous.

Why is the developer not seeking help with the new nvflash? I am sure some of us could help with reverse engineering. I, for one, have been a programmer for 30 years and have created a number of apks for the android based os.
A better question mightt be why is there only one dev helping with this little problem? is there a gitlib for some to look at? Why did ASUs slip him/her the newest nvflash? Maybe we are not geting the whole story?

obviously not
i read everything and just ask the questions that have not been asked. The forums would be sooo much better with just answers instead of pointless commentary.

:/ well the fella probably thinks skimming through is equivalent to reading
Corvette, I would contact him directly instead of posting here about it. Mainly because of the kinds of replies above. I too wonder why this is taking months and whether he is actually doing it alone or what is up.

Hi there!
I sure feel like a total newbie (which I'm not, by the way) for asking this question, but here goes:
How does one use tags on threads?
I have several useful threads of mine (see my sig) that I'd like to give a few tags, but I cannot figure out how to do it.
Thanks!
-thenookieforlife3
BIG FAT EDIT - Never mind, I feel so dumb - just figured it out! Please delete this thread, as it is utterly superfluous!
Glad you got it figured out. ?
And may I add, you obviously know your way around XDA, so please use the appropriate sections. Assist is here only to help members navigate the site, not for any kind of support.
Thanks for understanding. Thread closed.
I have rooted finally my Samsung galaxy Note 10.1 (8010) purely as I will be getting a new one shortly and wanted to see A) how easy it was to do and B) remove much of the bloatware so beloved by Samsung. I have installed Xposed and Gravity box.
Primarily I would like to remove the default clock from the lockscreen.
So it looks like this instead.
(seemingly I cannot post links yet.)
Is this possible?
Any other mod advice also welcome.

A) how easy it was to do
sorry, I don't understand your question, may u provide more information about this?
B) remove much of the bloatware so beloved by Samsung
U can simply use any apps such as Titanium Backup/CC cleaner to uninstall those "junk" apps by Samsung.

I was unaware that asking if someone could tell/show me how to remove the default was a comment and not a question. Hmm now I am puzzled.
