I use CWM that you get after you root your phone.
quick boot
I hold down the power button for 2sec to get the shutdown menu and if I hold it for more than 5sec it will reboot... I don't see why I need an app for that

i'd rather press soft keys
If you don't have a rooted phone try 'Fast Reboot'.
Although it does not close the device down it closes all Apps freeing up resources, memory and resets the phone if it has any errors.
Read the reviews... Many swear by it and I find it actually works very well.

Strange... It should reboot. Are you rooted or changed the stock firmware?
Quick boot does what you want by the sound of it. Free version on market.
Can set short cuts up as well if you don't want to go into the app itself.
Although for any app to trigger reboot you need root.

Strange indeed, I was rooted and on stock rom. Today on romow-v1 ROM but still isn't working.

Everyday I learn something new about Android, thanks.
I'm using the latest version of the cm10 by loSconosciuto (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2138707).
I've tried to figure out howto take a screenshot. I didn't find anything in the thread, and tried with home + back buttons with no luck.
Does it support native screenshot? What's the key combo to do that?

Can't see big change i want aserious solution
I have an S7 from AT&T. I'm not bricked or rooted, only debloated. Amidst all this debloating, I fear I have disabled something which recovery mode requires to work. I hold down the power button + volume down and I'm put into a loop of Samsung logos.
Does anyone know what needs to be enabled for recovery to function? Here is a list of everything I have disabled:

Hi mate
Just an observation to get into recovery turn phone off and
Press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power button at the same time. release as soon as you see the logo.......did you try that?
