2 input bugs, easy to fix? - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Several input bugs I've found, maybe if this annoys anyone else some clever dev can fix them as they don't seem that major.
I'm on an HTC 7 Pro with the 7392 update.
I appreciate that WP7 autocorrects certain contractions. However, WP7 only corrects im to I'm when it is at the beginning of a sentence. If I type im on my hardware keyboard mid sentence it does not turn into I'm. Can this be fixed by a a dev or do I need to complain to Microsoft and HTC. I also don't know if this bug is specific to my HTC 7 Pro or to all WP7 phones. In the HTC 7 Pro forum somebody mentioned this bug isn't present in his Arrive.
Bug for text messaging in keyboard slid out mode
If I am in another application or just at the homescreen with the keyboard already slid out and I receive a toast notifaction of a new text message when I press the toast notification the cursor is not flashing in the send a new text message box, why would have the keyboard slid out if I'm not prepared to use it? This is annoying and is reminiscent of old WM problems. Obviously if I have the keyboard open and I begin typing it should automatically go in the text box.
A similar problem occurs if I am just at the home screen with the keyboard slid out and I receive a new message. This time I do not press the toast notification and instead click the messaging tile. When I hit the messaging tile after it shows '1' while still in keyboard slid out mode I again do not see the cursor blinking in the reply text box. Again this is annoying and hinders efficiency.

I'm typing this on my focus and I'm not using contraction symbols in the first or second I'm. Must be a slide out keyboard specific issue

Thanks for the confirmation, guess I need someone with a slide-out keyboard who it bothers enough to fix these issues since I have no clue heh.

No problem. Glad I could help.

Landscape email, SMS conversation and the keyboard

So far I'm loving my new HD2. However, I've got just 3 nagging usability issues I need help with:
1. Email won't turn to landscape mode when I tilt the phone. SMS message turn sideways and it makes it much easier to type out a message. I'd love to be able to type email in landscape mode. I installed BsB Tweaks, but I didn't see anything to enable landscape email.
2. I can't get SMS to work in conversation mode. When I got into Conversation mode, I can't click on any messages. Isn't it supposed to expand into a threaded view after clicking on the message?
3. I have a heck of a time trying to minimize the keyboard. Shouldn't I just be able to tap the keypad icon on the bottom to minimize? I have to tap it ultra-fast to get it to minimize. Doing some tasks I can tap outside the keypad to get it to minimize, but sometimes that's not possible.
Thanks in advance fellow HD2onians.
Well, at least one issue down.
I solved issue 1. by using BsB tweaks and adding the message app by shaking it. Great tweaker program.
Issue 2 and 3 are still giving me fits.

[Q] Fixing an annoying sms text input problem

Playing with my new phone I've noticed an annoying bug with my pro. I'm posting this bug here since it is probably specific to the pro's slide-out keyboard feature. I want to mention the bug to HTC, Microsoft or developers and was wondering where you guys think it is most appropriate. The layout of the problem on my NoDo Chevron unlocked using this method is this:

I'm sure both of these related issues are easily fixed, I don't know if this is Microsoft's or HTC's obligation to fix but I would like some sort of solution. While I'd like it to be an official solution I'd be more than happy to use a developer's fix .
Does this piss anyone else off?
Where should I send this bug to, or should I just send it to every party that is able to help?
I'm confused as to whether the onus is on Microsoft to fix the bug or HTC.

sms app options

hey guys, what's up?
have been getting used to using android system for a while now and there's one final issue i'd like to sort out.
im coming from an iphone 3gs - jailbroken of course. cydia market had a tweak for texting (bitesms) that i absolutely loved. it gave you the ability to quickly reply to received texts and quick compose from any screen without disrupting what you were doing. also allowed you to reply/compose from the lock screen without "sliding to unlock". my favorite part was if i wanted to compose my own messages, all i had to do was hit the volume up, or volume down button and tap the volume slider icon and it would bring up an sms window. even worked from lock screen.
i've been searching android market to find something similar. found a few options but none quite as polished as bitesms was. wanted to see if there was anything out there i've missed that might be what i'm looking for.
so far, i've tried GOsms, handcent, and chompSMS(made by the same people as bite) thanks in advance

Text cursor color

Hey guys,
I seem to be having an odd issue wiith text entry on my eee pad. it seems the little blinking line that indicates where you are typing randomly decides to switch colors between white and black this becomes rather problematic on websites with white textbox (ie ALL OF THEM) when the cursor is also black i was wondering if any one else has had this issue and if any of you guys could shed some light as to how to fix this.
Thanks in advance!
I have this issue with my transformer as well.. Very annoying -.-

I have noticed something odd related to this issue. the text box with the white text cursor is actually a textbox that appears above the default one when you begin to enter text. when google instant for example glitches this new textbox you can see the original one and it works as expected with a black line, any idea what's causing this I could have sworn this didn't happen before. care to share any information or settings on ur eee pad that you might suspect and we can investigate.

Any apps like SMS Popup?

I have been using SMS Popup since the original G1, but they said with the switch over to Hangouts on the Nexus 5, there are some bugs that they are unable to work out. Is there a different app you guys are using that's working without any issues? I just want the message to popup and the ability to quick reply to it.

This isn't *exactly* what you're looking for, but check out DynamicNotifications. It makes it so when you get an email, or text, it shows message details on your lock screen and you can swipe to unlock and it'll go straight to the message. Hopefully it'll fill in the gap, as I've replaced SMS Popup with it since my Galaxy Nexus.....
I'll think about it, but at the moment, I don't have a lock screen enabled.

I second this, pure stock android messaging, extremely customizable, has popup that can be toggled, toggle it to turn on your screen, change MMS size, app icon, has status bar "Read" "Reply" options, best sms app I could ask for on this device.
