I am not sure when it happened but right now my xoom has about 20gb of free space when I had around 26-27gb of free space. I cannot seem to find out what is taking up so much space. What application could I use to view what is taking up free space or that will help me clean it up?
I current have es file explorer and did an sd card analysis but the largest folder it finds is only 264MB big

ok so i looked in the forums and from the looks of it cm9 n cm10 and all other roms cant or wont make a work arounf for the inability to move app to the ext sd card i read that their someone making some kind of script but i am an idiot and cant understand but i do know how to read and follow instructions, but i dont see how one can apply these work around for the ext sd card fix unless their is a fix in the works and im jus being impaitent, i know people may think 4gb is alot but the fact this tablet can handle big gaming app it takes up alot of space fast. if have a memory card only for only multimedia, it kind of defeat android purpose for innovation when it was the only phone capable of putting apps on a ext sd card, any advise would be appreciated thanks..

I'm rooted, and downloaded GLtoSD (GL2SD) from the market.
It's a 1-2-3 app. Install the app, download the contents of the game/app, load gl2sd, open the menu, click move app, then select the app you want to move, if it's able to be moved it can be. I love it.
I looked into other apps, and other solutions, and this one was the least complex of them all. Sorry I do not have a link handy, I been drinking a bit lol
Been in your boat though, and wanted to help. Give it a shot!
Try (directory bind) their is a thread for it in the forum

I'm currently using an LG LGL45C and it's pretty limited with internal space as most not-so-good phones are, I think I have like 250MB or so which is filling up entirely too fast. I have a 16GB MicroSD card which I try to push all my apps to using APPS2SD but it's limited on what it chooses to put on the external.
Is there a decent and easy way to increase my internal storage size because I have apps I absolutely need but I have to keep play the install/uninstall game and it's getting to be a real pain. If someone could help me out with instructions on methods, I'd be truly grateful. TIA.

Hello, and I have a question about my nexus storage space, I had search to look for my internal storage, it show I have about total of 5.4GB of space is use(include app, picture, video, download and other) but from my calculate and observations I found out there is 2.4GB is unknown, I only find out there is 3GB is used and know who is who belong to who...except for the downloading (which take about 554MB ) I cannot find where is the 554MB come from.
Over all my problem is, there is about 3GB of something that is occupying me space (include the unknown download) and anyone know how to find out those 3GB come from, or give a tool or suggestion to help me out to clean the 3GB space.
Also I have use the ES file explore to see how big is the system file and folder, but the result show to me is, "the whole system include sdcard (the location is →' \ ' )is near about 18GB and I only have a 16GB nexus 5
By the way I have completely check everything in the "sdcard" folder
So does anyone know how to solve this problem or give a suggestions? thanks ~~

Hello everyone..
I really hope someone would respond to this post or give me ANY kind of guidance on this issue because since I switched to android and bought GP2 a week ago, I keep asking different variations of this question, on (twice on XDA, and 3 times elsewhere) and not one answer or any kind of response!!!..
I've been trying to find out a way to install apps directly on sd card, if not then to move apps to sd card after installation. I found some information online but some outdated, some vague, and some tried but somehow didnt work.
I rooted my device and tried app manager but it didn't move large apps like games to the SD card (said it did but actually didnt). I also downloaded a game that the uploader said the data folder can be saved on SD card under (android\obb\) but again it only runs when i save the data folder in this location on internal storage, but wont run if saved on sd card.
I'm not sure why did no one respond to my questions, but anyway, I'm not asking any specific question now... I just hope that anyone with couple minutes of free time can talk about how he handled this issue.
Thanks you
I think you need something like FolderMount [ROOT] or so.
You can find it on Google Play.
Apps shouldn't be running on sdcard in the first place. The data folder (obb) on sdcard makes sense but apps on sdcard should be a no go. Didn't even know why Android had that choice at a point of time.
hi I have a Kyocera hydro wave android version 5.1 model # C6740N 8 gig internal storage can use roughly 2.5-3.5 gig I have a 16 gig external sd card 14 gig free. I want to download and move games, apps, etc to my sd card to free up space. mostly because after my everyday app's, coc,Facebook, etc I cant even have one large 1-1.5 gig app. I've looked for answers to this for a long time. I know I can root my device, but dont own a computer and the people I know who do own one think everything anywhere is a virus so there's no explaining to them. I can move a few apps in app manager but of course its not really moving it. 50 MB app moves maybe 10MB OBO or what ever it's called remains on internal. I have seen the videos on how to download an app on the computer and somehow put it on the phone with usb, but as I said I have no access to computer if I did it looks a little complicated complicated. I am willing to pay app that will move apps to sd. I've tried these apps before but only free version. will a paid versionreally let me move the app to sd? apps like link to SD pro? And if the answer is specific to my phone that's good but the answer to this question on any android phone will work as well for future reference. thanks I appreciate your help and time.
