Is there any such thing?
id love to have a sizeable widget that can play videos from my library, so i can surf the net, or whatever on one side, or just twitter, whatever and on my home screen the bottom right can play a movie.
would be a nice thing to have.
not sure if its out there or not.
thanks

Hi everyone,
I flashed my Fuze to the Proven Rom prior before ever using the phone. Did not want to play with the stock rom. Wanted to learn off of the proven rom. One thing I thought the phone would do watching demos was being able to scroll thru albums using the touchflo feature. Everytime I load music, the touch flow will not show the albums, only the album I have selected. The screen shots I have seen shows the albums so you can slide to them using touch flo but mine does not work that way. any ideas.
Thanks,
Cheeze
try going to library then all songs then play a song from there they should all show up now..it only shows that album cuz u r only playing that album...if u dont want to play all ur music try going to a artist then songs so only there albums will show up or maybe a create play list(very time consuming)
Is anyone aware of an app that will allow you to watch your youtube playlists, and it will jump to the next playlist item automatically? I've scoured appbrain and the app market and I haven't found anything similar yet.
I like to add a lot of random music I find on youtube to playlists and review it later, and it would be nice to listen to this while I'm driving, but the built-in youtube app just plays one item at a time and stops. I know there are a lot of apps that let you download youtube videos to your phone, but that is really too slow and overkill for what I'm trying to do.
I guess Flash on Froyo may be an option once it's available, but it seems like this wouldn't be that hard of an app to put together.
Right now, if I go to a site that plays videos in flash, like Break.com for example, it will play the video on the website as if it was a desktop. and there is almost no way for me to control it because the buttons are too small (pause/play, skip, etc). In iPhone that would pop out and be played with quicktime player or whatever that native thing is. anyway to do this on this phone?
I don't believe you can do this with embedded flash videos. And just for comparisons, neither could the iPhone (with flash videos, that is).
Yeah, iPhone couldn't play flash videos at all. Only I think HTML 5 videos.
I did figure something out last night though. In dolphin browser I set user agent to iPhone. I was able to get videos that iPhone would "pop out" to also "pop out" and play with MX Player. So that was pretty cool
I also found that if I hit the fullscreen button while watching actual flash videos, it seems Dolphin has a sort of built in tool for that and it actually shows full sized buttons for pause and stuff. Though it would be cool if any/all videos popped out to play on MX Player.
might as well change the thread title to "How can I watch porn vids"
^ lol. Upnplay + Dice Player works great. Another of my favorite players is Stick It. Allows a floating player window that you can move/resize.
Anyone know of any music apps that go to a list of artists after selecting genre? Its the way Apple does genre browsing and I think they have a patent on it because no other music player does it, they send you to all the songs in a genre which is a joke (select "rock" and get a list of 1200 songs, thanks for narrowing it down).
The ONLY app Ive seen that does this is Player Pro, and they do it in a weird way (which lets them get by the patent, assuming there is one).
I simply cannot use a music app that doesnt allow you to browse by genre and then goes to artists, its by far the easiest way to find what youre looking for since it narrows results down so much. I only use the music part of my phone when driving so finding things quickly without looking through big lists is essential, searching by artist is too difficult because I have too many artists and the list is too long to scroll through, if it wasnt for Player Pro I'd still be using my ipod touch for music. Player Pro is a good app but Id still like to know of alternatives.
I remember there being a Zune clone floating around that wasnt allowed on the google store because it was an exact copy, is there anything like that for the iPod (I know about bTunes, its not what Im looking for)?
place yHonMa
Try N7 or Power Amp

Click to collapse
The MixZing media player seems to do what you're asking for, when you click on the genre section it shows you the artists, and on clicking the artits you get the albums.
I play music from Google Play Music at my work with my phone on wireless charger. I would love to be able to glance to my phone and see the song that's currently playing, coz I have bought quite a lot of albums and not sure which is which.
Is there an app (maybe if not I will write one) that displays the music being played? The one on lockscreen is perfect, but I can't keep the screen on on the lockscreen.
I managed to use dashclock + music extension, but the words are too small.
