Hi everyone!
maybe some of you using lg optimus 7 noted that the screen is too bright! even in low setting it is almoust unusable in the dark (night)!
Is there someone who knows a way to change the value of brightness of the presets (maybe a regystry tweak)?
here is the link with some data:
brightness comparison
In the table you can see that LG is much brighter than the others in the medium and low settings, the presets for dark environment.
I thinks it will be usefull for a lot of people. . . thanks for the help!
FOR MOD: i know this is a device related question, but maybe the solution is a general tweak that non-LG users may know. So here is easier to find an answare.
where.... ?

Is there a software to dial down the system color saturation/contrast/curve etc? Thanks for any tip!
You mean changing the whole screen in real-time or just some specific backgrounds?
BTW you should ask these things in the dedicated Q&A forum .
Thread moved.
thanks for moving my thread. I was wondering where it should be.
My question is to change the system contrast/saturation etc once then leave it that way, not real time change. if there's not a software for this, I wonder if there's a registry tweak. thanks!
I don't think so, you can change the screen brightness, that's all .
that sucks. but, thanks.

I love this app and the custom rgb night mode I created. I'm trying to emulate the f.lux settings I'm using on my laptop but I don't see a way to edit "day mode", i.e., the default rgb values that display when night mode is turned off. I'd like to tone down the green just a bit and the blue a bit more than that.
Also, it would be nice if I could enter exact values rather than using a calculator to input <desired value>/255 to get a rough percentage to approximate with the slider.
Does there exist a plugin for either of these things? Thank you.
Not sure if the rules allow for thread bumping, but I've read them and don't see anything, plus it must be better than creating a whole new thread, so ... /bump.
I would PM the developer but he says he does not respond to PM requests for app support.
OK, if this is in the wrong section or something could someone at least tell me?
Hey guys,
I've been looking for a while for a kernel that will
1) work with JB touch wiz
2) provide color options in order to make the screen display colors accurately (a la i9300 or note 2) or at the very least permanently fix the screen so that it displays sRGB accurately.
is there anything out there like that??
I have searched long and hard and come up blank. There are a couple of devs on here that I'd like to talk to about this/ask to include in future builds, but thanks to forum rules I can't. Thanks in advance for any replys.
Hello Devs,
To begin with I have HTC One V (using shpongle 4.2.2 rom) whose bottom ~50px (full width) are not working properly and to make it worse, somehow the rotation sensor is not working. So, I would like to restrict the display from original resolution 480x800 to say 480x750. I tried using apps like "Resolution NoMone" but many applications are crashing with that and it vertically centers the screen wasting 25px at the top.
Would modifying any system properties manually help me achieve what I want?
A simple grep shows /system/build.prop has "ro.device.screen_res=480x800". I tried changing this to 480x750 (taking ideas from this post) but it didn't work
I would really appreciate any help in this.

Just so I'm clear on what you're actually trying to do, are you actually trying to just change your dpi? Or who suggested it to be a wise idea to try and change your resolution?
Keep in mind tinkering with your build.prop can be dangerous if you are not certain of what you're doing.

No I am not changing DPI. Keeping DPI same, I want to discard the bottom 50px of my screen and make the system behave as if the screen is of size 480x750px. Well I have passed through the phase of screwing up my mobile and recovering it (thanks to XDA) and I am willing to take all risks to fix this. Worst case I will need to flash the rom again and thats welcomed
OK well all I can suggest is you post your question here and wait for someone to give support

Hello everybody,
I just updated my Velvet to android 12.
I'm happy and it seems faster than before, but now i see a floating button that is really annoying and i'd like to get rid of it.
I checked for other threads but i didn't find any solution that works for me.
I checked in accessibility settings but no fix.
Do you know what else can i check?
Have a nice day
Giacomo
Hi Giacomo,
I have a lg velvet 5g that's running version 12 of android, I haven't seen the 'floating button' that you are referring to, but I found this article on a different website:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidQuestions/comments/qffjzo
see if this helps. Good Luck & Stay Safe
David
Hi David, thanks for your answer.
I saw that page but unfortunately it didn't fix my problem.
Do you have any special feature enabled? for example blue light filter, larger font or similar?i really don't understand how to fix it .
I have just blue light filter and larger font , no other accessibility features.

There has to be some way to resolve your issue, so far I haven't seen anyone discussing this same issue, now I'm really wondering what's going on with your phone. There's another option that you might want to check out, I've used it myself and have been satisfied with it: https://twitter.com/LGUSSupport . I don't know if you ever use twitter.com or not, but if so & decide to follow the group that I've included in this reply, I feel sure that one of their agents would be able to assist you. Also, here's yet another option you could try: https://www.reddit.com/r/LGVelvet/ . Good Luck
Thank you very much David, i'll check everything and i'll let you know.
Hi David, yesterday I wrote to LG support by Twitter.i'll write here every update so I could help if other users have the same problem as me
I figured out how to remove the button: i disabled "android accessibility suite" and it finally disappeared. Thanks
