Netflix App not supported for Thunderbolt...

Wow... Netflix App just showed up in the Market...
Supported Devices:
• HTC Incredible with Android 2.2
• HTC Nexus One with Android 2.2, 2.3
• HTC Evo 4G with Android 2.2
• HTC G2 with Android 2.2
• Samsung Nexus S with Android 2.3

care to clarify?
it has the most bandwidth of any phone, i would expect it to be first
Your link is broken, and I don't see the app in the market. I call bull****. Besides, it was already announced that only 2nd gen snap dragon phones would get netflix? The Incredible and Nexus don't fit the bill. Hope I'm wrong, I can pickup an Incredible on craigs for nothin.

Link is working fine. You don't see it in the market because its not compatible with the Tbolt.

The link works fine. But it says that my Thunderbolt is "not a supported device."
The link is broken because of the http and https mashed together at the beginning. If you remove the https it works fine. It is definitely disappointing but I imagine they'll add support for the TB eventually.

Maybe you should put a minute amount of effort into search before you crap on someone. Now who has egg on their face? That's right you do...

I wonder if changing the device ID is enough to fool the netflix app... I hope someone here figures it out...
Based on the permissions this app requires, it probably reads the build.prop file to determine which phone you are using.
Any way to trick the app into thinking we're using an Incredible or something?

I'm with you on the 2nd gen Snapdragon thing. Everything I read about the LG Revolution said that it could only run the Netflix app because it has a Qualcomm MSM8255 (same chip that is in the T-bolt).
so wait my girls one year old evo can play netflix but my brand new thunderbolt cant? Really watching windows 7 man.
somebody pulled the apk but it still does not work on the Thunderbolt. The apk seems to look at the phone it is on when loading. I dont have enough post to post a link so edit the following.
www multiupload com NPZ062QIZB
what happen to all that drm talk?
Give it some time. This is what Netflix says on their blog:
The Market download will initially be available only on select phones that currently have the requisite playback support. We expect to quickly add to the number of phones that can download from Android Market as we work with ecosystem partners to expand playback support.

It only makes sense for them to first support phones which have been out longer, and have a larger installed base.
Can it be that the reason the Thunderbolt won't be sporting Netflix is because Verizon had blockbuster preinstalled?

Oh also, when I first saw the news i flipped and almost had an aneurysm from the awesomeness. Then I looked at the supported devices list and almost had an aneurysm.

Tegra 2 Drivers?

I've seen people write that there are no Tegra 2 drivers and that hurts G2X development.
Are these Tegra 2 drivers useful?

If you don't know, you can ask it in the general or QA forums. This is in a wrong section so if I were you I would ask a mod to move it

well. the "development" section is only for roms/kernels that the devs actually make. not for stuff that MIGHT help the development.
in all honesty, i believe this should be in this section however due to forum rules..

By the name, I thought it was about Android Development. But rather than nitpick, do you know if these are the Tegra 2 drivers everyone is looking for?
Someone just say if they are or not!
Nvidia never again!
Im not sure anyone knows. Not a lot of developers around g2x mostly Ports/cooks. that question is in the right spot I

I have doubts since it is from 6 months ago and Nvidia has publicly stated something along the lines that they will release something at some early this year. Sorry for the somethings haha, but I'm not about to give out false info.

Looks to me like tegra, not tegra 2. In all honesty, if the drivers were made availible these guys would have them already...
The Tegra 2 drivers have not been released yet. Sorry for the bad news.
I'm guessing if we had them, we would have atleast the android news sites reporting this.
I can't wait for them. Really want to use the G2x with ICS

Then what is in the link I supplied?
Strange the responses I've been getting here - no one is verifying that those are Tegra 2 drivers because you HEARD that Tegra 2 drivers haven't been officially released? Maybe these are the unofficial drivers?
I examined the package and it does appear to be Tegra 2 - specifically, Tegra 250.
^ I think that's Tegra 1, not 2.. :O
So Tegra 3 is released, shouldn't they give out tegra 2? :/

No. NVIDIA won't release source code for anything and is very irresponsible about releasing up-to-date drivers. So far, NVIDIA has not publicly released drivers for ICS for the Tegra 2.

Your post is not accurate mate. I spoke with SC at the Big Android BBQ and he said that he is working on it but since he does not have all the info on the right "channels" as he called it, it was taking him longer than usual
he will get is working though..soon, soon I say

I engaged him on Twitter last week, he said very clearly that he will not ever develop for this phone. I have tried a few times sense the phone was released. Always the same answer. You must have misunderstood him.

Yeah, I saw this earlier. Pretty sweet for those who want the basics, I'd prefer it over gimp. That said, I've already got CS6, I can't even remember how long ago I used CS2. (Five years maybe?)

Yes, saw that in G+ few days earlier, but am not really interested in CS2 though.
You can get plenty freeware out there that are more powerful than CS2.
Never done any type of image creating\editing , so its perfect for me to begin...
Think I'll start with some UCCW backgrounds and basic icons
