[App] Qqplayer - Eee Pad Transformer Themes and Apps

This is the only app that I've found that can play just about everything. It has played mp4, avi, and and mkv. Just wanted to let everyone know about it.

Does it play rmvb? I just placed an order on 32GB Transformer, waiting for it to arrive now.

Cool, I'll check it out tonight! Thanks!

Also try Vital Player. It has played everything I've thrown at it (AVI, MKV w/ subs) with no lag and better picture quality it seems. All of the other programs QQPlayer, MVideo, etc that used to work fine on my other tablet all have a serious lag issue and the video is pixelated badly. Of course these are high quality vids (which I was told Tegra 2 tabs won't play well if at all), but Vital Player seems to prove that wrong.

I've tried vital player. Still getting lag tho. I've read it's because the android os doesn't work fully with the tegras hardware acceleration.

I tried this and Vital player and both of them stutter on 720p MKV files.

After further testing, yes it does. I wish VLC would release an app already.

Nexus s play hd?

im going to upgrade to a nexus s 4g this month, and i have 2 questions about playing videos on the phone:
from what i understand, the nexus cant shoot HD, but can it play HD videos that i load onto the phone?
is there an app that can play .avi cuz id really hate to convert my videos.
No I dont think HD video work, I forget the app but there is one to play .Avi it wasnt flawless tho
RockPlayer. AVIs are flawless, MKVs are flawless as well but there is a bug with no audio being outputted when hardware decoding MKVs. .AVIs have absolutely no problem
MoboPlayer is pretty good too
Ill havd to try rockplayer is it free? I tried a app that needed unlocking after 15 days

Yes theres a free version available on the market. Moboplayer is reallh good too.

thanks for the info
i meant really. rockplayer is still my recommendation of choice, paid app of course (you have to get it through his website)
I Dont know it man, trying the free version on the market and it keeps freezing every time I open a 720p AVI file
my nexus s love mobo player.
720p working great with it. (subtitle support also)

Any good FREE media player?

I want a good media player that can handle divx and MKV files. I heard about diceplayer, but its not free. Is there a good free player or thats the only option?
rockplayer works well for me, but there is a limit it can handle, i think 720p mkv is the highest...dont quote me on that tho, i dont watch a lot of HD mkv's on my fone, thats what my lappy is for
720P is fine for me.. thanks!
I really like Vplayer
I currently use moboplayer but I'm not sure if it meets your needs.
I heard mobo player is best. I have it as well

giving mobo a shot now, i really like the interface...lets put it through its paces
EDIT* wow..just wow...i stand corrected, go with mobo player, its f'ing sick, really slick interface, and the controls are superintuitive and unobtrusive
I use Vplayer because Moboplayer gives me audio issues on some MKV files.

try this one
MX Video player is great, is supposedly optimized for dual core and has hardware acceleration enabled. it has played everything i've tried.. u might like it. free version has ads but you won't see them if you have a modified hosts file

Vplayer was my favourite until the developer went against his original statement of it will always be free and then changed it to a paid app.
MoboPlayer has played every video i have ever had my my Sensation (and previously DHD) without any problems.

I had a couple MKV's that it wouldn't produce sound for. I wish it played everything I threw at it because the interface looks better than Vplayer.

Does anyone else have problems playing movies?

I had the same movies on the first atrix and they played flawlessly. They're .avi and either they won't play or they lag, and audio isn't synced. Please let me know if this can be fixed or if it may just be my phone. I have already reflashed my phone back to stock and it didn't fix the problem, thank you.

Do you also have problems them playing with DicePlayer?
I normally don't use the stock player as sometimes it lags or doesn't play some files on my SD card so I used moboplayer

I guess I'll try downloading different players... also do you guys remember the way we could play music, videos, and see pics through HDMI on the ffirst atrix? I don't have that option, I can only mirror my display -_- and playing movies like that really screws with the quality

Try .mpg/.mpeg and see if that helps.

Guess that's what I'll do... shame, the first atrix was great for movie playback.

Check the audio on the files, if the audio is 48hz then playback skip crazy like
I have the same problems. For some reason the Atrix 2's hardware decoders aren't adequate. I can play a 720p mp4 file perfectly but when playing avi files it gets really choppy.
I simply used MX Video Player. Great video player. It let's you select the folders that it scans for video files. The player tries HW decoding and if that doesn't work it goes to SW decoding. Since most avi's play in HW decoding just click the screen's HW sign to change it to SW or SW fast. Also, I found it better to leave the deinterlace option unchecked.
now, I just use this as my phone's go to "vlc player"

.mkv movie plays skippy?

I have the lorax blue ray rip. Its 720p, 3.5 gb large, .mkv file, and encoded in x256.
When i play it with rock player its all skippy and not even watchable, but it plays the audio just fine.
When i play it with the default player the video is just beautiful, no skipping at all. However no audio plays. What can i do to fix this? Other blue ray rips play just fine and the lorax i have plays fine in other computers.

Just encode it into something that plays. Mp4 on a phone will still look beautiful. I use handbrake but there free or free to try out there. Check cnet downloads.

I perfer mxplayer. I get 0 issues out of it
Motorola lied and I'm still locked mb865
Mx player is the best, even vlc plays a broad spectrum of formats. A HD movie in avi format wasnt playing properly in MX, which played flawlessly in vlc.

+1000 for MX Player. It is so good I paid the $5.60 for the paid version, which does nothing extra except no ads. But I felt the Korean developer deserved some money because it is such a good product.
Dice Player is the best, at least on the Xoom.

1080p HD video playback

Hey guys i just want to ask if any of you have tried playing 1080p or even 720p videos on the nexus s because im running on slimbean 3.0 marmite kernel and I used bs player to play HD videos but it will not be a smooth playback... does anyone have any idea on how to make the playback be smooth? Poor maybe this is hardware limitation?

Use MX player. 720 is fine.
Accidentally sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Try MoboPlayer
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app
If you haven't come across any solutions, I'd suggest Dice Player.
I've tried VLC player and it runs HD videos smoothly and amazingly. It's still in BETA but it's amazing. I'd give it a try, it's free so you won't be losing anything. It also plays any format and you can use it to listen to your music. Another cool feature is it allows you to stream videos on it.

I don't know if BS Player has the option but use MX Player and while your video is playing, choose SW Decoding, since HW decoding makes the video stutter

Try diceplayer, it renders 720p decoding perfectly
