Where can I get apk files for utorrent like bit-torrent client that up/down files from xformer or microSD on xformer?
Also looking for Pandora KM PLayer apk.
Thanks for your help.
I tried downloder and it says invalid torrent file . I can download the same exactly using torrents on Vista desktop. It is a private torrent . Another good torrent apps?
So far all of the torrent apps that I've tried don't work. Some are able to add the torrent in but don't communicate with the tracker properly, while others aren't able to parse the .torrent file.
Ttorrent lite works well for me

uTorrent Remote
Well, I like to use this method...Basically uTorrent beta has a uTorrent Remote. All you have to do is enable it, create an ID and then install uTorrent Remote on your transformer. Of course all the downloads will go to your computer, but after you are finished, you can download that to the transformer. I don't really need to download directly to the transformer most of the time so this serves me well.
i will try ttorrentlite -hope it works
torrentlite didnt work either. is there anything else to try to get private torents to work?tried adownloader, andtor, ttorrentlite so far----all says same thing---invalid torrent when the same torrent works fine with utorrent on w.indows.
any help on torrernt apps to handle private torrents pls?
ttorrent has woorked perfectly for m.e. I've dowloaded multiple albums, tv seasons, gigabytes of dat without a problem.
Why not just use adownloader? It's just as good AND it's totally free

is there a torrent client for a tablet that i can control from my android device?

I'm not sure if this is what you mean but you could try using the tTorrent Pro app on the table and an app called Tablet Remote installed on both tablet and another android device (which connects via BT) to navigate the tablet and play videos that way.
hmm interesting solution but i also need it to work with 3g like utorrent does

Looking for a DLNA client only (not bundled with a server) that can download files from my home network media server.
Tried Skifta and it's a nice app, but no download option that I can see.
TwonkyMobile has a download option, but it's bundled with an annoying server than stays resident when you don't exit the app via the specifc exit button.
Any options? I want to download some videos from my network DLNA server to my NExus7 for offline viewing.
Media house.
Sees my ps3 media server and I can download from it. Also sees my windows file sharer thingy. Not sure I'd that's what you are going for

So I have a 2007 Macbook running Snow Leopard. I want to turn it into a file and media server/personal cloud I can leave in a closet at home. I want to be able to store files on it and stream media from it accessible from windows PCs and my GNote 10.1.
Any ideas on software for the macbook, PC and Android tablet that can accomplish all of this?
Have u tried to ask in apple forum?
There might be more users know. This type of question, will be answer faster by apple user/dev, since u want to use ur mac as the server.

Yes. Find a Linux distro and install it. It'll come with all of the servers you need. Just configure and start.

No one who responded in Mac forums had any idea how to do what I wanted. I will probably go the linux route. Thanks guys.
If this is going to be mostly for media files, have you thought of PLEX or even PS3 media server for osx?

Ah yes, I forgot about Plex. I think I will have Plex regardless, but wanted something that can handle a bit more than media too. Thanks for the suggestion! I will also look into PS3 media server.

One other thing you could do, if you can find the builds, is just download and install Apache http server for web access, U-Share for UPnP access, and Samba for Windows file sharing access. For any other servers you need, just install programs for them as needed. There's all kinds of different single-purpose server programs. That way you could keep OSX installed and usable. I did the same thing on a Windows XP machine a while back. However, I eventually ended up running so many different server apps that it just made more sense to turn it into a dedicated server and I installed Fedora linux. That machine's still up and running today. It's just a suggestion.

You can use basic SSH and a app that can stream from ssh to a video player, ex FX Explorer + MX Player. With this potent tablet, you don't need any transcoding, it has the best HW decoder available.
If you need it to be accessible only from internal network, then you should use SAMBA server (basic windows share).
As an OS, i am recomanding Ubuntu you can do bouth type of sharing with ease !
Torrents are corrupt whenever I download them, I have tried multiple torrent clients and also the torrents work on the desktop. I have the pages request in desktop mode too but still corrupt when adding to the client.

Same issue using a Note 2.
I've downloaded a torrent using Chrome and the preinstalled browser. Then I transfer to my servers torrent folder using eStrong. Deluge is set to auto load torrents but instead renames the torrent as invalid.
I've downloaded the same torrent using Chrome on my PC. Then I use eStrong to copy that file on to my phone and then to the server. This time it works as it should.
Since I used different browsers, it points to the Android download client.
Off to do more research on the issue....
Chrome on my Xoom thinks that the torrent is a URL and tries to open it in a new tab. Looks like it's down to the Android implementation by the manufacturer.

I use ttorrent pro, it also utilizes magnet links, I use chrome on SGS2 and it works just fine for me, I don't internet in the household so I only download on my phone
I use the stock browser to find torrents, and then I have uTorrent to download them. When I click on the torrent download in browser it opens automagically in uTorrent and they always download without issue.
use bittorrent
Hi, I know that I can use the uTorrent remote app to start torrents on my computer from my phone, but I watch all of my movies and tv shows on my tablet. Does anybody know of a way that I could remotely start a torrent download on my tablet using my phone? Thanks!!

any installable torrent app for tf700
If there's any torrent UI app/agent that runs on android tab just like on PC then maybe..
thanks
Hmm interesting, thanks for the tips I will check these out!
ok so I can use a task scheduler to automatically start uTorrent, and I'm assuming I could get it to open torrent files inside a specific folder, so that it could check that folder periodically and start any torrent file that's in there, but how would I activate that from my phone? like how would I get a torrent file onto my tablet from my phone? could I download a torrent to my dropbox or something, and then have the task scheduler open Utorrent and start whatever torrent is in the Dropbox folder?
Other than that I'm not sure how I could get that to work. I haven't used a task scheduler before. Glad you told me about it though.
