Just wondering what the best ROM with the best battery life is?

You've been in the other threads discussing battery life including one you started; why make another thread?

Which kernel did you use with it?
if your looking for a 2.2 ROM. .I seriously saw the best battery life with Paragon and his stock paragon kernel. But there's a bunch that are good. Serendipity was another good one.
You could check out this post which actually compares the different Roms based on battery life.

Are there any custom roms that are made for battery life? Like for the best battery life.

Most SR ROMs were designed for good battery life. There is no answer to your question because everyone's usage is different, and "best" threads are frowned upon here anyway.
Download and try a few ROMs for yourself. Only way you'll get your answer.

Thank you for you honesty. I just thought maybe one was built just to get better battery life.
Hi, mitchel0 here, quick question,
Do different roms have different affects on battery life? If so, is there a place I can look to find what roms have the best battery life? Would major roms like CM10 have the best battery life? Sorry if these questions are redundant, I am running Codename android on my ATT HOX, and I am satisfied with everything this rom brings to the table, but the battery life, so if anyone can shed some light on this topic, it'd be greatly appreciated :fingers-crossed: thanks!
P.S, could flashing a different kernel help my battery life?

Sense will have better battery life in most cases
Have you tried using a battery optimizers app like juice defender or easy battery saver?
I'm running easy bat saver and I'm getting x1.8 extra battery. But I also keep my mobile network off unless I leave the house out of range of ny router.

There is no good answer to your question. For every ROM that people claim to have "best" battery life, you will also find people that have miserable battery on the same ROM. Just too many variables in how people use their phones.
Also, radio usually has more to do with battery life than ROM. If you are having battery issues, try a different radio.
Thanks guys. One more question now, will different radios affect my coverage? Like will I get better service with one but worse with another?

Possibly. Or you may see no difference at all.
Battery drain may be due to poor reception, if the phone is constantly trying to connect to the network. The right radio can sometimes fix both the reception and the battery drain.
But don't expect a miracle. Differences can sometimes be subtle, if even noticeable.
Hi guys, I tried Dirty ROM, Jellybam etc.
But I still don't know best rom. Which rom has best battery performance and stability?
Clean ROM?
Dirty ROM?
ViperXL ROM?
ParanoidAndroid ROM?
Thanx for everyone, and I sorry my english
You'll have to try them out and experiment...I've only used the Viper XL rom so far(got the phone a week ago) and I don't think I'm going to switch anytime soon lol...great performance, battery and tweaks.

TEST TEST TEST TEST TEST and TEST SOME MORE see what works best on your phone
You are asking a question, so this belongs in Q&A.
And there is no answer to this question. No single ROM is going to give battery life to all people. It depends on how you use your phone, as well as other factors (radio reception in your area). There are just too many variables to account for, that a truly objective comparison of battery life between ROMs is virtually impossible. Any claims of battery life are going to be anecdotal at best. You might find some trends. But even so, for every ROM that has people saying they have better battery life, you will find some people that get worse battery life.
In general stock based roms have excellent battery life compared to cyanogen and other custom roms. Ckeanrom or hafka for example has excellent battery life. I'm using rebel rom and the battery life is also excellent.

I have to agree with what people are saying here, there is no one rom which is " better " in battery life it mainly depends on the end user.
In my personal experience, Sense based ROMs always have better battery life.

Chosyst after
Im using viperXL on mine and love it!!
Viper XL 1.2.4. w/Beastmode Kernel 3.0 undervolted -50mv ~0.8%/hr drain overnight. Viper XL 2.0 + always was 1.5%/hr or higher, with Beastmode, undervolted 50mv as well. I have tried 2.0, 2.1, 2.4, and 3.1.0 (3.1.0 with stock kernel). All have above 1.5%/hr drain overnight.
Measured using BetterBatteryStats and MyBatteryDrain Analyzer.
All were with the same exact apps.

Here is my question, what is the rom with the most battery life with normal use? ofc performance will be good (ofc not the best) but atleast for using as daily driver, what is the best rom battery/performance for you?
I don't think it's a good idea to compare roms..I've seen many threads blocked due to this kind of situation.

isnt a comparation topic of all roms, only want to know opinions of ppl of wich rom has got more battery life with good performance
Asking for opinions about which ROM is better in some feature (eg batt life) can be seen as either asking for the best ROM, or just comparing ROMs. Either way, both aren't allowed, so thread closed
