Enter Stock recovery?? - T-Mobile LG G2x

Anybody know how to enter stock recovery? button combination?
Ive tried power on plus up, and power on plus down. I would just flash CWM and make it easy, but i might be returning the phone to tmobile for my screen bleed soon and want the phone to remain stock for now.
SO anyone know how to get into stock recovery?

On the dev forum there's an image of the stock recovery. Sorry i'm on the phone

why? what are you trying to do? if you never flashed cwm, vol. down and power will do a factory reset. as of now, there is no way to enter the stck recovery. just a factory reset.

Not true.
I posted a way to get to stock recovery
Download rom manager
Go to settings, SD and phone storage then unmount phone storage
Now
Go to rom manager and reboot into recovery then it takes you to a screen when you hit home and it shows the blue stock recovery screen....
Not sure how to make selections though

1st person with totally bricked G2x

SO i think I totally bricked my phone. Any input would be great. MMy phone boots up and is stuck on lg screen. I tried flash CWM and stock recovery but nothing. Any ideas or should i just send back and get a new one
I really mucked this one up
It's not a brick if it turns on! But I'm fairly new to this phone and I'm not familiar with it at all Normally I would suggest to fastboot flash the new OFFICIAL CWM recovery image, but I don't even know where to begin with fastboot on this phone

It would probably be a little helpful (if you want help) if you let everyone know what you were doing when you "bricked" your phone. That way people know where to start in assisting you.

I had a infinite loop problem on mine. I just restored to stock.
Turn phone off (pull battery if needed)
Turn on while holding volume down + power button

What happens when you try to boot into recovery mode?
OK here is what I did to brick my device.
I wanted to do a factory reset and I used clockwork recovery to do so.
Wat I didn't know what that Clockwork recovery was going to format my system.
I can only get into fast boot via vol up+vol+down+power
Cannot get back to stock recovery or CWM. Tried flashing via fastboot method
My phone just goes to LG screen no loading bar
Currently the only function is fastboot
Did you try formatting via Vol-Down + Power?

Capacitive touch also are not lit appear to be not working
1) Fastboot flash the official CWM recovery image
2) download http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048274
3) put the NANDROID in the correct folder on your sdcard: /sdcard/_ExternalSD/clockworkmod/backup/
4) restore via recovery
Thanks for everyones input, Called t-mobile they are shipping a new one out asap. I'm just going to have to suck it up till tuesday.
I love trial and error they only thing i lost is a little time

I flashed official CWM recovery image numerous times via fastboot and phone just gets stuck at lg screen. Once again vol up+power and vol down+pwer does nothing
Is there another fastboot method or adb method to restore CWM?
did the same thing it bricked my phone does nothing else than start up then freezes. f-ING pissed
The best thing with Nvidia phones and tablets is that its barely impossible to brick your phone. If you think you bricked it - you just need NV flash and either the stock rom or stock recovery and you are back to normal
I have done that with my old G-tablet - it was a piece of cake to fix it.
is there an nv flash for mac?
thought i did the same thing!
if you can get it into format hit the home button. hopefully vol+down+power will get you there. pull your battery and you may just get lucky if done enough times? i would keep trying. good luck

Bricked G2x, Tried everything

My G2x is bricked. I have tried following this guide, but it did nothing, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1
I have tried using NVFlash to flash to stock, Flash CWM on it, but nothing seems to happen. This is the result of flashing stock recovery
http://gyazo.com/111d4f87503e91a3cd92b8a803d5bb46
After doing so, I try to boot into recovery but nothing happens. The screen lights up and shows the pure white LG sign with no colors on the side. No matter how long I hold vol DOWN and power, it doesn't want to boot into recovery. I am unsure of what to do now. Could someone help me?

You cannot boot into stock recovery on a G2X. For stock you use volume up and power and it just does a factory reset and reboots your device.
You need to flash CWM Recovery. Then you enter recovery by holding Volume Down and Power and use CWM to reformat your system and flash a rom.
If CWM doesn't work then you need to use the KDZ method to reflash your device to stock.
Don't worry it is almost impossible to fully brick a G2X. As long as you can use NVFlash the device should be recoverable.
My phone isn't stock. I had CWM on it, and I flashed PhoenixBlood ROM. When I tried to upgrade the ROM by flashing the new one, my phone ended up like this. I was able to boot into CWM by holding Vol DOWN and power, but not anymore. Right now, I can't even get into recovery.

It doesn't matter what your phone is. Use this method to unbrick your G2x:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248644
There are a couple more methods found on XDA too. Please search before posting.

Did you install CWM using ROM Manager?

phone stuck on boot animation.

so, i just want to flashed a new rom, then i reboot in recovery, then i restored my data. at some point i saw a text shows cache.img was not found. then i reboot the system, the phone just stuck on the boot animation. please help. urgent
Which ROM did you flash? Did you flash gapps?
What are you doing when you say get into recovery and restore data? Are you trying to restore last ROM's /data from recovery?
If yes, then that's the reason you are stuck at boot screen. Factory reset &flash the ROM again and let us know if you are able to boot.

thx! now it worked! but, i have another question, how do i restore my data from my previous rom to this rom?

.TOT recovery -- Model Error

I have stock recovery and can't boot. My model is currently reported as "g2" thanks to the mahdi rom which I screwed up flashing.
Has anyone been able to flash back to a stable firmware by bypassing the model check (using a special .dll, anything?).

i had that problem once and this is what i did...
i booted back into recovery,TWRP or CWM,
i had TWRP , went to advanced wipe and wiped everything,
system,data,cache,dalvik cache
powered down and put it back in download mode and reflashed stock.
it seems that if you dont wipe system it is still picking it up as whatever model rom you flashed.
hope that helps...

Appreciate the response, but I mentioned in my post that I have stock recovery. Not CWM or TWRP. No dice for me

So adb is accessible through stock recovery? I hold down+power until the LG logo, then release both, and press both again. This takes me to hard reset menu, not recovery. I press power three times, the andriod guy appears with a progress bar (i think it is attempting to factory reset here) and then it reboots. Everything I seem to find on Google/XDA indicates the only way to access a recovery mode is through a custom recovery.
If it's really this simple I'm going to flip.......ha

how did you get stock recovery back on your phone?

12.55GB available on my 32GB N5 after flashing official 5, how to fix?

I have not flashed a custom recovery or tried rooting yet, so stock everything and my storage available is wrong.
How to fix this?
Thanks

Go into the stock recovery, clear cache and then factory reset

Revert to factory settings from the menu or wipe data from the recovery. You need the stock recovery

My stock recovery is broken, I am now doing factory reset from settings. Now I have to figure out why the stock recovery is broken, showing dead android with red triangle. Tried fastbooting the stock recovery again but same result.

Try
fastboot format cache
fastboot flash boot boot.img
To get into the stock recovery you need to hit vol up when you see the dead android

Ok so factory reset from settings fixed the storage issue, thanks all.
But nothing fixes my stock recovery, this is so frustrating. Tried your suggestion with the cache and boot.im, even rebooted bootloader and tried and then even tried fastbooting the recovery.img again but nothing. No combination of any button pushes works.

In recovery, hold power button and press vol up. That is what jd meant.
i have the same issue with the storage and stock recovery. followed the suggestion above (formatted cache and flashed boot.img) but did a factory reset from settings (not from stock recovery). This fixed the storage issue but stock recovery is still broken.

I thought my recovery was broken too (never kept my phone stock long enough to see it...) but you just have to push power, volume up, and volume down at the same time to make it show up.
