I wanted to make a thread for the Acer Iconia a500 to help bring together owners of these nice Honeycomb tablets. Please post here so that we can all work together to work out issues with this device. Who has this device?
I have an iconia tab a500. The usb 2.0 port does not see my 16gb thumb drives. Have you had issues like that and if so, what did you do?

Acer A500 stating LNX Checksum error
I have a A500. I'm new to the whole tablet rooting thing and I KNOW I messed something up. I'm not looking to be ridiculed by the brains of android development. I need help to fix it. Please help me. I have My UID. When I boot up the device it stops at the ACER screen and in the top left corner it states: LNX Checksum error

When the device reboots it just says "Android" on the screen and you can't do anything from there. Anyone had this problem or know the solution? I couldn't find anything using search. Thank you.

So I tried to flash my Acer Iconia One 7 B1-730 (non-hd) tablet using fastboot and the problem is that I've used the HD version of the .img when flashing it, since they are not adapted for the model, my tablet screen doesn't work anymore.
Is there anybody on the forum that have the same tablet as me that could dump his .img so I could recover mine ?

Need help to Root Acer Iconia A3-A20 with 4.4.2 android. Is there a guide to root my Acer tablet? One click prefered.

yea i'm in the same boat, tho did a lot of research and only found something from Russia, which I didn't feel like digging and translating at the moment to see. I asked acer customer support also, which they just relayed back some of the areas I already checked. So I emailed and am waiting for a response from oneclickrootif they are going to make a patch for the 4.4.2 or know of one and I suggest you ask them as well to get the ball rolling. Hopefully acer updates the A3-A20 to 4.4.4 sometime soon tho if you hear of any root patch for the 4.4.2 let me know and I'll do the same

Downloaded the file directly from the device, then transfer it to the device
Next install the app from the .apk source file
After the app is successfully installed on the device, launch it from the app drawer.
After it has launched, choose the option ‘Install Superuser’.
Next click on the ‘Exploit’ option.
After this the app will begin the procedure to root the device.
After the process completes successfully reboot it and you’re done.

My teacher in school asked me to fix an Acer Iconia A700 that he has. I have tried updating the firmware but no luck. It is not rooted that I am aware of. I cannot figure this out. I have the same tablet that works perfectly fine. I need help lol
