Is it possible to forward text messages to email addresses. I am talking about MMS or SMS messages that we receive from other phones and sending them over internet to email address.
I really hope that this feature could be a part of WP7.

Does anybody know a email to sms gateway that is for free or cheap? I want to send emails from homepc an then they shouldt be send per sms to my mobile.
I recently upgraded to WM6 TNT 4.0. When I used the cingular wm5 rom, I was able to send sms to email addresses. It even gave me the option as I spelled out the recipient. Using the new wm6, it no longer allows to send sms to email addresses. It gives me an error saying I cannot use SMS to send email addresses or something like that. Is there a registry hack to allow me to send SMS to email addresses?

You still can send emails. Send a text to 36245 as the address. The first line of the message put the email address, then next line your message.
try it. I had the same problem with upgrading to WM6 from the Cingular ROM.

it depends on which service provider you have...for t-mobile, you send to "500" and start the body of the message with the e-mail address, followed by a space, then your message...usually a 160 char total limit (including e-mail address)
I have looked everywhere and cant find a good solution for this. I have an unlimited text messaging plan through ATT but NOT a data plan. I would like Outlook to send me a brief text message just stating sender and subject of any email I receive. Even a small program that can monitor Outlook and then do this would work. I tried making a Rule in Outlook but it says that it cant make rules with HTTP accounts(I am using Outlook to bring in my Hotmail account). Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
This application will forward your incoming texts to your email address. If you reply to the email, your email will be forwarded as a text to other person from your phone number!
Here's what happens in essence :
If you get a text from 123-777-9999, your phone will forward this text to your email address. So you get an email from [email protected] to your email address. If you reply to this email, the person (123-777-9999) will get a text from your phone number. So you can integrate your phone with your email address.

When you receive a text on your phone, your phone will automatically forward this text message to your email address. When you reply to the email from your computer or tablet, other person will receive your email as a text from your phone number.
Your reply to the email will also appear on your phone. So you can still see the full conversation from your phone.
This application will work with any email address. Just make sure to check your spam/junk folder first time you try it, and if email somehow came to your spam/junk folder instead of inbox, mark it as not spam.
You can use this application to backup your text messages into your email address as well.
