#AndroidChat - Twitter Chat

First off, hello. Next, this is the thread about #AndroidChat, please take the time to read this.
I know there are a lot of IRC chats and such but this is a Twitter chat, and why not...
So I have noticed that there are a lot of good Twitter chats that happen and are listed here.
I also noticed that Android doesn't have a chat for itself.
It does now.
#AndroidChat is the hashtag for it.
It will happen on Wednesday of each week at 8 or 9PM EST and run until at least 10PM.
The time and day are up for debate.
Whether you are an new Android user, a seasoned developer for Android, ROM chef or anything in between; this is the place to be if you want to talk about Android.
Below this you can read all about Twitter chats and such as some background information.
I hope to see you there!
What is a Twitter chat?
Twitter chats are scheduled gatherings of people on Twitter to discuss pretty much anything that interests them, using a #hashtag to keep track of the conversation. There are chats for everything from blogging to art to agriculture to operating systems. - Partially/Mostly from Mashable.
How to take part?
I recommend you using TweetChat, it is a service that allows you to view and tweet with your chosen Twitter chat from there. It will also automatically add the hashtag at the end so you don't forget to either.
Basically, it is a service that just makes it really easy to participate in Twitter chats.
But you are free to even do a search on Twitter's website for it and follow it there to.
When do they happen?
Refer to the first link posted in this thread.
Also, I will likely be getting in touch with some influential Android users in this community to help get it started.
If you have any other questions, you can tweet at me or post your question regarding this here.
Thanks,
Lawrence (TheVakman)
P.S. I hope this is the right section. I wanted it in Android but I couldn't find a general Android.

[Q] How do you feel about local dev groups?

I'm a part of a young Android dev group and we're looking for some creative ideas to add a bit more value to the group. Some come out for business/networking, others come to learn, others just come to meet like minded people.
What would draw you to a local group if there was a good group in your area? If its not your thing, what keeps you away?
Interested to hear your thoughts....

[Video Series] Old Phone, New Software

Hey guys @short_sam here,
So for a while now I've realized that your devices don't get the features explained that you would benefit from. So I would like to propose a video series where I explain these 'features' or innovations that make things easier for you. If you would like to me to feature your Rom, Bootloader, Recovery, or even news in my video shoot me a pm, a tweet, a Facebook message, or G+ hangout. My twitter name is short_sam, my G+ is +Sam Short, my facebook username is samshort13, my email is [email protected]. What will happen basically, is you will send me a video request and I will try my best to cover it in the video. I hope to bring to light what all of you amazing developers have been working on. You guys honestly have saved me a lot of trouble when it comes to support for my phones. I look forward to working with you all! The op will be updated as new videos are added.
-Thanks fellow xda members!
