ADB Reboot Recovery - T-Mobile LG G2x

So has anyone managed to get to recovery through ADB commands? It's a real hassle correcting bootloops the hardware way (troubleshooting takes MUCH longer).

[Q] ClockWork Mod help needed (has not been answered before, very unique situation)

First off, I am new to this community so I apologize if this is in the wrong place or if I violated other rules.
Hi there, I have been trying to flash Clockwork Mod recovery image onto my lg optimus 2x for hours and hours and it’s not working. I have tried several methods:
1. ROM Manager: during the process of flashing the recovery image, it stops and shows the notification “error while running privileged commands”, a few minutes later, my phone crashes, and on reboot, it gets stuck on the boot loop. I end up having to restore my phone every time (which I’ve done 30+ times of)
*Note: when I activate the recovery menu the phone automatically starts to wipe everything before I gain access to the menu, so every time I go into the recovery menu my phone gets restored.
2. I’ve tried flashing the recovery image from my computer following the procedures of this website android.modaco(dot)com/topic/335479-29-jun-4005-clockworkmod-recovery-for-the-lg-optimus-2x/. Basically, I run the .batch windows installation file, and after it finishes I reboot my phone like it said, and my phone is stuck in a boot loop—help factory reset again.
3. I have tried using flash_image (addictivetips(dot)com/mobile/how-to-install-a-custom-recovery-to-an-android-phone-device/), and everything is working fine as I run the following commands:
adb push c:\flash_image /sdcard/
adb push c:\recovery.img /sdcard/
adb shell
su
mount -o remount, rw /system
cp /sdcard/flash_image /system/bin
cd /system/bin
chmod 777 flash_image
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
Until the last line, I get the message “error scanning partition” at the very end, and can’t flash the recovery image.
Fastboot: I have not attempted the fastboot method yet, because upon researching on how to fastboot my phone on google, I found no method for my specific phone, and explanation of required software and steps on a computer was not very clear enough for me to understand. If anyone could explain in detail how to fastboot I would really appreciate it.
I assume flashing CWM on the optimus 2x shouldn’t be this much of a hassle so something must be wrong, I have spent more than 10 hours trying the flash it and restored my phone more than 30 times.
Please help, thankyou.
It seems like you don't have superuser access...did you root your phone before trying to install the recovery?
My phone is rooted and it does for sure have su permissions
U are not alone! I kind of have the same problem with my Samsung. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1640523 It's pain in the *** if u ask me! Plz help us!
Don't know if your phone has fastboot or if it's a HTC only thing. But search your devices xda for fastboot.
Get fast boot,usb drivers,
boot to bootloader, connect to pc, on phone turn on fast boot, on pc use fast boot commands :
fastboot flash recovery xyzfile.img
Wait...
Done

how to enter stock recovery?

Trying some stuff and need to get to stock recovery. Can normally get there from the extended reboot menu or ADB, but hosed something so adb doesn't work. I know it's there, used it for factory reset a dozen times.
Tipe in console:
Su
Reboot recovery

Doesn't matter, I just reflashed, but I can't run SU, reboot recovery when ADB doesn't work as I clearly stated.
And if u reflash the ftf?

Not via ADB commands ? Try a different cable ? Maybe you forgot to enable USB debugging? Enable unknown sources might help too
I had no problems booting via ADB
adb reboot recovery
I suppose try using a different PC and reflash a different ftf file. That might help as it will complete rewrite the recovery again in case you have screwed it
Check this post where I have successfully booted into recovery via ADB :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2480590
the whole of this was my phone was softbricked. I wanted to get into recovery so I could use ADB to try to fix it. When it's softbricked, ADB won't start up, therefore I could use ADB.
Trust me, I know how to use ADB, I just wanted to know if there was a key combination to get our phones into recovery mode with ADB because ADB wouldn't work because my phone was softbricked. It had nothing to do with me not knowing how to use ADB or how to set it up, it had to do with my phone would brick it self before ADB started, so therefore I couldn't send any ADB commands.

I am uploading drivers on a post. Will quote you to it. Install them. I hope that helps!
here you go

Ok, let me try to explain this.
It's not drivers.
It's not ADB.
It's not my PC.
I softbricked my phone trying something. I didn't want to wipe it, so I wanted to try to get into recovery, where a limited ADB works.
I couldn't boot into recovery from ADB because it was softbricked.
I just wanted to know if there was key to hold down on boot or something to get into the default recovery mode.
I don't need drivers, I don't help getting ADB going, it works fine on my PC. The point was the phone was softbricked, in a boot loop, ADB wouldn't respond, wanted a key command to get into recovery.
I apprecaite the help but people aren't getting what I was asking.
Is there a key command to press at the bootup to get into the stock recovery on this phone? All my other phones, I know the command, but this one I've tried all the combos and no recovery.
Please, no more help on ADB, I know how to use ADB just fine.
Just is there a keypress to do this?

[Q] Possible to flash phone from factory/test mode (not recovery mode)?

I have a Fairphone (original) and I passed the wrong file to adb sideload (yep, feeling dumb right now).
The phone now will not boot. It goes into a boot loop, even if I take the battery out, and then boot while holding power and volume up to get to recovery, it still goes into a loop.
I even tried this script to see if there was a brief window I could get into adb to repair during bootloop, but adb never finishes waiting for the device even after about 5 consecutive reboots.
If I plug the phone in to charge, the empty battery appears, but then after a few seconds it goes into a boot loop too.
Code:
#!/bin/sh
echo "Waiting for device."
./adb wait-for-device
echo "Freeze!"
./adb shell stop
I can get into factory/test mode by holding Volume Down and Power. This seems to be the only state I can get the phone into that doesn't involve a boot loop.
Factory mode looks (mostly) like this picture (my screen shows english translation as well as mandarin):
vi8.info/pic/2014-01/Factory-Mode-Menu.jpg
While in factory mode:
adb can connect
adb shell gives me a shell, but su in the shell gives me permission denied, so no root access it seems
adb sideload says error, disconnected.
fastboot cannot see the device
adb reboot bootloader takes me back into a bootloop
adb reboot recovery takes me back into a bootloop
Is there anything I can do from here to flash a working ROM onto my phone?
I'm on a Mac. I can get access to a Windows machine in a week or so and will try SP FLash when I do, but until then, is there anything that can be done with Mac only?

Lost ADB connection after flashing recovery image

I was in the middle of unlocking the bootloader for my tablet and just finished flashing the recovery image and i have seem to lost my adb connection. I was about to sideload supersu.zip and i can no longer get my tablet to be seen in my adb window by any commands, But it can be seen in my device manager. The same thing happened to me (lost ADB connection) but worse - it happened while I was updating the system partition. I just posted a request for help and seeing how you got no response, I expect I won't get any help, either. I think my device is probably hosed now. Shame.

i need install firware amazon on fast boot mode adb hd8 (dont work system recovery)

I'm root my tablet amazon hd8 and brick, I need reinstall the firmware of the pc with ADB mode. any help me i would be eternally grateful.
If the tablet is accessible by means of ADB then you can try to re-flash tablets's Stock ROM:
Code:
adb devices
adb reboot sideload
adb sideload <LOCATION-OF-STOCK-ROM-ZIP-FILE-ON-PC-HERE>

thanks.. but the problems is other, tablet does not power up correctly and is inaccessible to use the system recovery (menu)., shutdown just when pressing
any idea for make the flash without used the menu recovery
Because tablet doesn't power on - as you said - take it to authorized service center and let them fix it.
