Xoom Rooted +Market Enabler stil can't access paid/tablet apps - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi rooted my Xoom Wifi using the guide procesure and installed and enbaled market enabler.
I still can't access paid or tablet apps. Am I missing something?

use a rooted phone with same google account
Doesn't work for me either but then I figured I can use a rooted phone where market access/enabled works. So I download the apps there and since I use the same account for my rooted xoom when I goto market in my xoom I see these apps I purchased in the phone available for download

That is a good solution. However if you want to get tegra specific games you will not be able to download to your phone (I experienced this). I'm still looking for the final solution.

[Q] Any way to get the Android Tablet Market outside the US?

From what I've read the Xoom should display Tablet specific apps in the market. It doesn't on my (imported) Xoom. I just get the regular market. No tablet specific apps.
I guess this has something to do with the fact that I'm using the Xoom outside the US. Somehow there's a restriction to using the Xoom elsewhere. For example it also isn't possible to install Google books.
Anyone found a work around for this? Setting the country parameters in the settings or Gmail accounts doesn't work. Maybe the Market Enabler app can do the job?
I bought a wifi only xoom from US and I also don't have the Featured tablet aps in Market, but if I search apps then it finds tablet apps just fine.

aha... but does it contain all tablet apps? For example I noticed that the YouTube player for Honeycomb wasn't installed on my Xoom. I read somewhere that I could download it from the market, but my market only contains the non tablet version (2.x vs 3.x for honeycomb)... So I wondered if I got a non working tablet market.
Youtube app wasn't on my Xoom also at first, but when I connected to internet it magically appeared under apps.
As far as I know, the honeycomb version has never been in android market.
I am traveling in China now and the hotel has a Hong Kong IP address, so unfortunately I can't read most of the things in the market. When I go into the office we have a Singapore IP address, so at least I can read it! I tried market enabler, but I don't think it will work on the wifi only model...

Google Books isnt installed anymore

After I rooted my xoom i miss the google books app. Its not installed and i cant install it from the market (germany). I was looking for a fix but it doesnt work for me, cause its not installed. By somepeople its installed but with 0.0kb.
Please, can anyone send me the apk, I really want to read my books on my xoom!!!
I found a way to get this app on you non-US xoom! It was pretty easy if you knew it!! Your device need to be rooted!!! The you can install the app MarketEnabler, after you install it you are allowed to fake your carrier and you have access to the US store!! Now I'm really happy!!

[Q] Can't find Facebok, BOA, Amazon.com

I rooted my U.S. Wifi xoom recently. It seems very odd that I see the facebook app on the market and when I click on it , says it's unavailable ? It happened to a couple of other apps I mentioned.
I had these apps before I rooted . There was wipe of data and cache while rooting and I can't seem to install them from the market again? Anybody else having these issues?
Its probably not an issue of rooting. More likely it is that you first installed it before Google started having the Market check for device compatibility. Technically the current FB app is not Xoom compatible. I suspect your other apps suffer from the same issue.
I have seen others complain about the FB app even those that are not rooted. I already had it installed before the market changes so cannot verify. However, I do not use it. Try downloading Friend Me which is made for tablets:

For the other apps, try using the market on the web to push the install to your Xoom and see what happens:

Thanks. That is a pretty sweet app.

[Q] Market Enabler still not working

Hi guys, I live in a country where paid apps arent supported. I have rooted my S2 and installed market enabler. Whenever I go to a paid up and I click buy, the error "The item that you were attempting to purchase could not be found." I've tried searching around but to no avail.
Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers

I have a ME version working. Send me your email and I'll send it to you.
Does anyone know of a work around for this problem....it is really annoying. A vpn connection to the US does not work and I have a US credit card set up on my google account.
I stumbled upon the following workaround that works for my SGS2.
1) ensure your phone's off of 3G and WiFi
2) revert to factory installed Market app
Settings>Applications>Manage applications>Market>Uninstall updates
3) prevent automatic updates to Market app
rename /system/app/MarketUpdater.apk to MarketUpdater.bak using Root Explorer (mount as r/w).
4) Reboot
This reverted my SGS2's Market app to 2.3.4. If step 1 doesn't give you an appropriate version for your device, I suppose you can do a restore from before July 27, 2011. I verified that I could purchase and install a paid app.
Then I manually installed Market 3.0.27 (com.android.vending-27.apk). I then verified that I'm now able to purchase and download paid apps using the latest Market 3.0.27, so somehow this re-enables Market Enabler, at least on my SGS2.

Market Enable for North America

I'm on a WiFi Only transformer TF101.
It appears that one can't download certain apps if they are intended for devices with 3G support.
So I can't even download (or even see) the NOVA 3 that I bought from my S3 onto my WiFi Transformer.
I've tried Market Enabler and Market Access, but neither have any effect.
Most of the discussions on forums pertain to people with Country related access restrictions with their 3G device.
But this is not the case here. I can purchase the app perfectly with my S3 but not even see it with my WiFi Transformer.
Please Help. BTW has anyone been able to purchase or even SEE apps that require 3G support from a WiFi only device?
Other than finding a source to download the APK and sideload the app, I know no other way to trick the Play Store into letting you download it. Perhaps rooting and editing the build prop to trick it into thinking it's a different device. That's just a guess though. As foe Nova 3, I've seen many people question why they can't download it on their high end devices.

If it's incompatible with a device, you usually will not see it.
If you use the PC market, you'll see a
"This app is incompatible with your devices" message.
You could backup the apk from your S3 and side load to your TF.
