Hi guys
Will 800x480 games and apps work on the sensation given it is 960x540.
Thanks

800x480 games work great on my Arc 854x480 screen, it will work on the sensation but with a frame to cover lost space or simply zoomed.
As for wallpapers, Zedge is pretty fast to launch new resolutions.
But hey isn't the Moto Atrix already using this new resolution?

Seems like the Desire Z and the G2 are just about identical and the Desire HD and mytouch 4g are really close (same cpu/gpu, ram, internal storage, etc), now that we have perm root, what are the chances of getting the Desire HD Sense UI? People are already running the Desire Z rom on the G2 but those phones are identical, there are some differences between our phone and the HD (ffc, 5mp versus 8mp, 4.3 versus 3.8 screen, etc)
We need the HTC merge to come out it has sense and exact same screen size so it should be easiest to port over to mt4g

Why would the screen size matter? Isnt hdpi the same as hdpi? lol
I would think that internal specs matter more...

Screen size doesnt matter, only the screen's resolution, I dont know the hd's res but if it's the same as the HD someone could port it.I'm guessing the hd would be 480x800 just like the other snapdragon/scorpon phones.
The htc merge dosent have the "new" version of sense featured on the hd or z, and there is a lexxicon (merge) rom on shipped-roms.com/shipped

Although the screen sizes are different (3.8" MT4G and 4.3" DesireHD) Both are 800x480

For 800x480 screen you need to make 960x800 resolution wallpaper as it is scrolled over multiple screens.
Hit the thanks button if I have helped.

Hello,
How are you?
So, from what I read, the high resolution screen of the A700 is great. And it is probably wonderful for web browsing.
But since android tablets with this resolution are few and new, I was wondering how is the situation of apps for this screen?
Are there apps optimised for this res?
How do apps like tapatalk, Facebook, ebay, YouTube and such behave?
Any pixelization problems?
Thanks.
Cheers!

Afternoon all.
Recently got an upgrade and since I wasnt to fussed on the S5 I decided to get a Xperia Z1. .
Bad choice since id gotta used to samsung from S2 owned all S devices. . .so luckily i was given the chance to swap the xperia to a lovely note 3
I really like it and since the specs dont differ much from the upcoming S5 ( camera slighty better and 2.5 ghz instead of notes 2.3) its a good choice i feel.
What i have noticed is the pixel density is lower from S4 and S5 but i really dont see it the difference in fact the note 3 screen seems better?
Anyway sorry for long intro but when i play HD youtube or even the HD helicopter video included on phone i cant help but think the HD isnt as clear or good as the S4 . .
Could that be the pixel density or something else?
Cheers guys

Well YouTube HD movies are little pixelated, download it and play from any video player.

Youtube hd videos are highly compressed. So quality isnt that great

HD on Youtube isn't really HD. It's 'close enough to fool everyone who can't tell the difference between 720 and 1080'.
They've compressed the video so tightly it' s become blurry. You don't notice it on an s4 because the screen is much smaller.

The S4 or S5 have the same screen resolution as the note 3 but are considerably smaller in screen size. As the picture is spread out there will be some slight degradation in hd quality but not so noticeable as to be called bad...
