I have a data cable that works on my HD2 but not my Nexus S , where can I get a cheap replacement??
ebay
amazon is good too!
Didn't your NexusS come with one in the box? Mine did.
Prior to that, I bought a blackberry branded microusb cable from bestbuy, but I'd avoid them because it was a complete ripoff at $30.
monoprice.com is the best place for the cables. I always buying mine there.

$1.40 for the cable!!

Here's what I bought:
<From Amazon>
*Wall Charger -> USB- $2.45
*USB -> MicroUSB- $1.48
Total- $3.93 (free shipping via Amazon Prime)
But from monoprice.com-
*Wall Charger -> USB- $2.16
*USB -> MicroUSB- $1.02
Total-$3.18+S&H.
For my location, the cheapest S&H was $1.88, making Monoprice $5.06, or $1.13 more expensive then me buying it off of Amazon.com, so bought it off of Amazon.com.
Most people don't get free shipping from Amazon though, so it's not really a fair comparison.
I do that that if you're buying from Monoprice you'll probably want to throw in some other random stuff to make the shipping cost worth it. Even with the cost of shipping included though, Monoprice is still a pretty good deal.
Sorry to bump this, but I found what looks like the OEM HTC charger and cable for pretty cheap on eBay. Seems like a great deal if it is indeed OEM.

I suggest Ebay, make sure the seller is realiable (most of them are anyways), unless its some random inspire user selling a charger.
Go to the nearest hotel. A corporate hotel like a Holiday inn express and tell the clerk that u left ur charger about a month ago . If he asks what room just say it was under the name of a coworker that u just meet that day . Change the subject fast and say its a charger that has a microusb like the blackberry or Motorola and that ur in a bit of a hurry to catch a flight. He will probably pull out a box full of cellphone chargers if ur in luck . If not try the next hotel lol.

I got the official HTC brand car charger on Amazon for $15. It has 2 charging usb ports and comes with a coiled micro usb cable. While your Inspire is plugged into the 1st port, the 2nd port can be used to charge any device that gets its power from a usb port (such as an iphone, ipod, etc for example). I imagine the official charger is $25-$30 at AT&T or Best Buy, so Amazon is the way to go. I wouldn't trust the cheap crap on eBay. Yes it's cheaper, but $15 on Amazon isn't exactly big money.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003OQUJRQ <<the link says for HTC Thunderbolt, but it works with the Inspire
thanks, i'll get it from amazon.
Just got my Epic back from Samsung since they had to replace the screen and the usb cables I ordered from Monoprice had also arrived.
2 of the 3ft cables:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10303&cs_id=1030307&p_id=8640&seq=1&format=2
1 of the 6ft cables:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10303&cs_id=1030307&p_id=8641&seq=1&format=2
total came to: $6.19 all together and as expected these cables are of amazing quality
I had to re-root my Epic and used one of the 3ft cables and it worked perfectly, no corruptions and I've been using it as USB Storage and no bad transfers and the speed is excellent!
I bought two of their cables a while back. One of them for some reason would not fit my phone. They gave me a refund and told me to keep the cable.
thanks...i was looking for some extra cables my blackberry cable no longer stays in the port and the stock one is crap. Bought 4 cables and a charger for $8 shipped.
just ordered 2 of the black 6' cables, so we'll see. tired of the 3' cables, they just don't reach most places i need em.
Your welcome guys

Definitely let us know, I've bought the black ones from them before and they have always been great just wanted the best offered with all the crap cables I've been getting lately
figure i can hand my trusty blackberry micro usb cables off to the woman (they're 3' at best) once i get these..
these are definitely legit. ferrite cores and everything. china is making some fine products these days...
I use them daily. Awesome quality for an awesome price. If you have any issues, they have a 30 day warranty also.

I left my cable and charger at a hotel a few months ago, and found new ones there for less than $5.
Monoprice is 5 mins from my house.. I do will call pick ups lol
Yeah I order all of my cables through Monoprice. I ordered a half dozen of their 6' micro usb cables when me and the wife first got our phones. They work great. I even use one in the car. I can't stand those stretchy car charger cables. I'm sure those stretchy chargers have broken more than one usb port in their time, with all of that constant tension on the slot...
I have always used Monoprice to buy HDMI cables after reading reviews about them from websites and how well they compared vs cable from Monster for ALOT lower cost. I just recently ordered and received 6 Micro USB cables (4 x 3' and 2 x 6') for less than $10 (with tax and shipping I live in CA) and they have been incredible so far, even better than the Blackberry cables I ordered last time from Amazon.
Why not eBay? Micro USB cables are commodity items. The one I got off eBay works fine, and it cost all of 99 cents. It cost the seller almost half of the purchase price just to ship it to me via first-class mail.

You're lucky, most of them are ****ty quality straight from Hong Kong. They charge slow and don't transmit data (even when I connect to the charger the phone thinks I'm connected to a computer lol). I've purchased 3 different ones, ebay is for batteries and other things but never cables
Filter the eBay search to only display sellers shipping from the US. The cables still might be from HK, but at least you won't have to wait a month for it cross the Pacific and get through customs.

Instead of buying a new cable I bought a passport portable hard drive that comes with a great high quality cable that works great with my epic. I figure I can get an extra harddrive with the cable for the same price.

Oh yeah I always do US sellers, I can't stand the wait for HK direct lol
Thank you for the cable recommendation
I wish I would have found this post a *long* time ago before I started having cable issues. I have ordered cables from Monoprice and can confirm that they are the real deal. They work when Blackberry, LG, and HTC cables do not.
I am probably weird, but I have had many issues with my Samsung Epic with ODIN uploads, and the cable has always been the culprit. I've a few brands of cables out on my Epic and my friends' Epics when using ODIN. Here is a rough list of what worked for me and what did not:
Monoprice cable - always works for odin. Always works for charging. Always works for data transfer.
HTC cables - usually works for Odin. Always works for charging. Nearly always works for data transfer.
Sony PRS reader cable - used to always work for Odin, but varies with the device. Always works for charging. Almost always works for data transfer.
Blackberry 8800 data cable - Sometimes works for Odin. Almost always works for data. Always works for charging.
LG data cables - highly problematic. Works for charging. Does not usually work for data transfer.
Yeah I've found the same thing with one LG cable I have, use it strictly for charging in the car
Your welcome
ive used monoprice for audio and hdmi cables. fantastic site. good quality. for my usb phone cables ive had good lucky with the 99 cent ebay ones. free shipping no less.
Hi
I just bought a 3rd party microUSB cable from ebay for $2. In outer material comparison it is better than my HTC stock cable. I did notice some differences in the microUSB pin though. Can some one please tell me if.this causes any issues in operating ? If you see the last image the female area for the actual connecting pin is slightly smaller than the stick cable's. Though if I gently connect it to my phone it does fit.
So aren't these things supposed to be standardize ? Why is the HTC pin different ?

Mind posting a link to we're you bought it from.
And how are they performing?
My wife always has issues with cables on her sensation, some end up fitting really loosely and fall out extremely easily. The last one I bought her was $20 and worked great, but is really beat up now, I need to get another one.
Type R-blood
This $2 cable (including shipping) really performs well, I am in India so I got it from ebay.in. Amazingly it had a warranty also. I have used it 2-3 times now and. works quiet well with my HTC travel charger. I plan to get more of these if they come up on daily deals again.

$20?!
Goodness gracious....the US Congress wouldn't even overspend like that. (Slight exageration. They would spent $400 on a USB cable)
Look at Monoprice.com. Enjoy the savings.
Don't hessitate to buy a cable there just because it's $1 instead of $20. The quality is not lacking. Monoprice just sells a cable that costs $0.50 to make for $1 for a 50 cent profit instead of selling a 50 cent cable for $20 to make a $19.50 profit.
I won't even get into the lunacy of $100 Monster Cables.
+1 for monoprice.com
Good lord $20 bucks for a cable? Where can I purchase that haha.
Seriously, always compare prices before buying online.

I recommend monoprice to anyone looking to buy cables. Never had a single issue with any of the microUSB or HDMI cables, wall charger, or cig lighter adapter I've bought from them. Between 2 10ft MicroUSB cables, 4 HDMI cables, wall charger, and the cig lighter I've spent about as much as I would have for a single HDMI cable at WalMart, let alone Best Buy...
I bought my Nexus 6p at newegg but since then bought all accessories at Amazon since they were cheaper and more used. But I do have a gift cert for them and wonder can anyone vouch for any Nexus 6p accessories from there? I see plenty of cables but don't want inferior or worse yet fry my phone type..
Thanks for any real world experience..

If you post a link to what item you had in mind it would help out. As it stands your post is very vague, so we will need more details or specifics to help you out.
Well, I'm looking for the standard complement of Nexus 6P accessories. So far all the links/orders seem to go to Amazon:
Bought my Speigen case on Amazon as 2 day shipping there was necessary to get it here with my phone
Bought my RavPower battery on Amazon because it was cheaper at Amazon (with ravpower's promo code only good at Amazon)
Bought a couple of Anker Micro USB to USB-C adapters (and a AC Anker USB-C charger) at Amazon because I didn't see them at NewEgg
So the only thing I need to get still are USB-C cables -- (USB-C to USB-C, or USB-A to USB-C).. I see many of them at NewEgg but their review mechanism doesn't seem as robust as Amazon, and since I know the wrong cable can do serious harm, wondering if anyone has actually gotten any cables at NewEgg that they would recommend to purchase.
