Not sure if this is the right section but one of the things that i miss from my iphone was MivTones the ability to play video for a ringtone for different contacts http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSLuRkPqp7w

yup. I did a quick search on google and came across Vringo.
Here is the apk.

Yes its Possible.. Maybe with my provider. If some one could tell me how can I extract App i will post it.

yes its free. its in beta stage now. you can goto their site, http://www.vringo.com/studio/, and make your own video ringtones. It allows you to search the web for videos and then choose a start and stop point of the video and then send it to your phone

how can it be a paid app? its not even in the market? or are you talking about another video ringtone app?

i installed the app and uploaded a video but when i get a call only the music plays not the video??

Hi guys...
I know that the i-word is not really loved here but my Leo has very few things I don't like and one of them is the audio player.
Is there a player like the one on the iphone, or at least a way to browse songs by letters, like the contacts?

I cant help you with how to use it since I use the sense music tab on my phone but thats the nearest if not the only iphone clone music program you will find for the window mobile phones.

Ereader app from stock Tab

Im looking for the e reader app that was on the demo vid Samsung put out about a month back. Im not talking about the mag, newspaper, book one. there was also an app that only said "ebook" or something like that under the icon. It had a bookshelf and good looking animations when a book was opened (page turn etc. . .). I d/l Kobo but that does not look like the one Samsung was demoing, and kobo does not have any type of lage turn anamations. I have the US T Mobile version and it seems like it was removed for some reason. does anyone know what im talking about and does amyone have the apk for this?

I d/l Laputa and it looks and acts almost the exact way the demo was showing..save for a few things..but that may be just Samsung customizing the app for its own use. Anyone here with the EU version that has this installed?
I'll have to look at the Nook reader and see how that one works..
The Laputa reader work very well and has very smooth page turning effects..so far I'm liking this one.

how do you install this? i unzipped it and its a ebook folder.

I think I know what your problem is: if I remember correctly, the .apk format is itself just a renamed .zip, so your unzipping tool is probably working a bit overzealously, and extracting both. Make sure you only unzip one level, and you'll be fine.

I found that the instructions in the last post here work.

Worked in my Tmo Galaxy Tab.

Maybe try copying the apk to /system/app manually?
Other than that, sorry, no clue.

Anyone been able to get the Ebook app to run on a US tab?

Tried to install it on every possible way, them I installed the nook reader (eu user have to use market enabler and fake themself as american to download it) from the market.
Page turn animation and double page in landscape, and that is what I wanted from the samsung app. And it's even implemented better!

Yep, full epub support, you have to put your books in /sdcard/Nook/MyDocuments amd you may have to open "my files" a pair of time for the books to appear.

Google Music Player v3.0.1 For Galaxy Tab

Simply Install to your Galaxy Tab running on Gingerbread rooted.
If you want to replace your stock music player with this music player v3 just
install it first to your device and copy the MusicPlayer.apk to /system/app folder
delete or rename the existing file before you paste the new file.
Don't forget to change the permission.

If you're using a gingerbread Rom, equalizer is available.
Works clear and bassy with overcome hermes edition.

You can download equalizer app or widget. I suggest you download from the Market the free app, EQUALIZER WIDGET. Just search it from the Android Market and you'll never regret it. Your tab will give all the bass and treble you need

For those outside the USA who want to try the google music streaming beta, just configure your browser using a USA proxy such as one of those found here, then go to the google invite page here and request an invite. I registered earlier today and got my invite within a few hours. All working fine here in the UK .

Sure, getting the invite was not a problem..
Installing the application through music.google.com is. When i click the link that sends me to market.android.com, and click the install-button it says that the application cannot be installed in my country.

Settings?

So turns out I'm dumb. After I got my Google Music invite, I can get to settings and all that. Thanks for posting the app!

Hey all, so maybe I'm just having an off day, but I don't see anywhere to adjust the settings for this app. It installed perfectly and I renamed and overwrote the MusicPlayer.apk in my system folder.
Is there a settings menu in this app? Am I just taking crazy pills?

i know it's been a month since your post, but maybe this will help others in the future.
If you installed this simply by running the apk then it should have installed alongside your stock player. In this case all you have to do is search for the original Music Player under Applications to use it, and delete the new player with something like Titanium Backup.
If you installed this by overwriting the stock player, then install the MusicPlayer apk that i have provided below. But again, this will install alongside which ever player you have installed.
Hope this helps
EDIT: The music player provided is the stock player that originally comes with SGT roms
