Using my G1 sleeve works great. - T-Mobile LG G2x

Using my G1 sleeve works great.
I sticks out a little bit, but no problem it protects the screen until the case comes out for it.
I would hate to scratch or scuff the phone while I wait for a case to come out.
Anyone else going to do this???

[Q] Any cases help hinge fix?

Hey all,
I know the 'loose hinge' debate has been beaten to death but anyone have any good experience with any cases that help negate this problem? I called T-Mobile about the hinge and they said they never heard of the hinge problem but that some say certain cases help alleviate at that. (Ponder that statement for a moment!) I figure its worth asking before I try to take apart the phone and stretch/replace the springs.
My phone has been great, no hinge issue until last night the phone fell of the nightstand and ever since the hinge is so bad that you can feel the looseness as you hold it or text.
Thanks!
i would like to know the same thing. the thing is, i dont think any manucfactuar will build a case for the phone to prevent the hinge looseness. the reason being is because companies such as htc and tmobile do not see it as a problem, so i dont think anyone will make a case maybe with a clip, to hold it tighter, or whatever. which would be cool. but im glad someone noticies the same thing i do. i dont mind the hinge, but i cant stand typing on the on screen keyboard because i can feel the screen just jossle just a little. drives me insane!
I think it could be done with the hard shell, and rubberized cases. I small spring loaded mechanism on the part of the case near the microphone. it would stretch out and lock the keyboard in place when you extend it and then lock back in place when you close it. I tried to draw a design but I am a horrible artist. We would have to build them ourselves though.
I have a hardshell clear case I got off ebay. I can tilt my g2 now and the hinge/screen won't open or expose. I have the one that doesn't go around the trackpad.

i am also looking for this kind of case
Sadly for me, a few pieces of scotch tape on the sides fixes the problem! I dont use the physical keyboard a lot so its not a big deal.
I'm not sure if one is made /c:
Any ideas in a DIY case manipulation?

Nice I need to order
Looks very nice indeed! Might have to get one too, to interchange with my Otterbox case.
Though ive got a slight worry that glossy black will scratch like a motherducker in no time.
If anyone gets one can you post some pictures and maybe a video too? Curious to see what that plastic is like. Cheers!
I was gonna go for a casemate tough, but I think I might wait for this, looks very nice.
Just pre-ordered one from here:

Sounds great, be sure to take lots of pictures.
Results are in!
Got it on, and loving it! Extremely perfect fit. 100% top quality. It's all one piece, so getting it on is a bugger, but once it's on, you can't tell it's a case unless you know what the phone looks like without it. The light gray part is very soft, and very comfortable to hold. It does not add extra bulk when holding it, but just enough, so now it rest better in my palm. The glossy hard black part makes it look so sexy. Overall a great feeling case. The buttons are the easiest to push now. Even though they stick out ever so slightly they don't look out of place like the OtterBox commuter case. They have a dimple on the inside also which helps press the buttons on the phone, so you no longer need to press firmly, but just a gentle press works fine, but not so gentle that you would press it by mistake. The rubber around the screen is a great fit. It goes all the way to the glass, so you no longer have that aluminum edge there. All in all a great case. I highly recommend it.

Nope. The lens is slightly inside the case. The entire phone lies perfectly flat. Actually the shinny black back doesn't even touch the surface when it's on its back, so that won't get scratched by sliding the phone on a table or anything. The soft gray side grips are slightly raised from the case, so the middle is actually off the ground (I tried taking a pic of that, but it just looks like it's sitting flush, so I didn't add those).

Thanks, that's really helpful. Still undecided between this and the case-mate tough though. Wonder if there's anyone who's tried both.

So, the thing is a ***** to fit into initially.
Will it give way after a while so you can get it in and out easily, or is it some hard plastic that won't yield or wear down? Do you guys who own one see any way of modifying it for quicker removal?
I'd really like a case but I do not want to lose the ability to use my device for satnav, and I already have the Brodit cradle mounted....

The shinny black part is very hard plastic, and since the very soft gray part is fused to it, it is really really hard to get in and out. I almost feel like if I push any harder I'm going to break one or the other, but the soft part is just soft enough to get it in there. I don't see how it could get easier over time. It's one of those cases that once it's on, it's on for a long long time. Compared to the OtterBox Commuter case that one seems like it can fall off, and the Pop case seems like it was actually made into the phone, and not to come off without a struggle, but if I had to make a choice I would pick the Pop case 100% of the time. Again if you compare them side by side the OtterBox looks like it was made for a kid to play with, and the Case-Mate one that you buy tickets to see it in a museum. It is that good!
Thanks a lot for the quick reply mate. I was thinking that maybe one could cut or file down one of the plastic ridges that snap into place around the screen to hold the device.
I done that ages ago on a case for a XDA mini, and it worked quite nicely but obviously there is a thin line between making the in and out easier and making the case unusable by cutting in too far...
Again thanks for your input...

Thank you for good products to introduce.

Incipio double cover case

Just bought it at the vzw store. Vry good build quality. Fits the phone awesome and doesn't bulk it up too much. Just a heads up it's 20% off

Its a decent case but mine got sent back 5 minutes after I opened it. No cutout for the hdmi port.
I noticed that as well. Since I don't use the hdmi port it didn't bother me

Loving this case. It does make the phone bulkier, but I have big hands so it works out for me.
The feather case was just released as well. It still does not have a cutout for the hdmi port. They said it would compromise the protection the case gives the phone. I don't get it, if everyone else can include a cutout for the port why don't they? I am disappointed because I used the feather on my Atrix and I have never used a case I liked that much.

Sweet, thanks for the heads up. I don't use the hdmi port enough to care that much, but I have been wanting a super thin/light case for awhile. Kinda pricey though.
love this case, but it's somewhat hard to get the hard cover over the rubbery inside layer. I've ripped mine already. I'm still able get the case to work ok, but just wanted to let anyone know who owns this case that you have to be careful with the soft layer.

I don't use it that much either but its a pain in the ass to remove when I do want to use it. There is no reason they can't make the cutout, every other case has it.
I couldn't get mine on! The corners would scrunch up on the side I was putting in last, and it made it impossible to fit properly.

You have to work it on slowly while pulling the edges of the hard cover outward with your thumbnails (until your thumbnail hurts, then you're pulling hard enough). Loosening the hard cover before installing by gently pulling the sides outward for a couple minutes also helps.
Does anyone have a link to this case on the Verizon site? I just went to the Verizon store and they said they don't carry the double cover for the Charge and I can't find it on their site either.
I have one, got it with the phone when I bought the phone off someone. I don't like it at all, makes the phone heavy and bulky but its free and im not spending money on a case when I know I will be selling the Charge as soon as the Samsung Galaxy S2 is out.

[Q] Rubberized Hosuing Mod?

http://lifehacker.com/5716776/diy-rubberized-phone-backing
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881062
--------------
Check the above links. Anyone ever seen this before? I think it looks awesome. I wanna try it out.
I know the Sensation has antennas in the little holes in the casing but, I saw on a Titan forum that they sanded it down and the issue with the antenna being affected, then fixed.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1751208
But this mod doesn't require sanding, though the Sensation has the antennas built in, it may be difficult or impossible.
So maybe theres a way we can avoid the antenna and do this Soft Grip housing mod.
-------------
Someone want to do it? Should be fun, kind of like the Chrome mod.
I've seen Plasti Dip before, but I haven't used it. I'm sure it can be useful for some applications, but I have to wonder why someone would hassle with using it on a phone rather than buying a $2 TPU case.

I keep my phone bare and don't drop it so using this would be a comfortable almost bare phone. I have sweaty palms so it would pretty much relieve it.

Has anyone tried this leather wallet case?

I've been looking at it I think I'm gonna pull the trigger but it would be nice to get some feedback from someone who's tried it https://www.etsy.com/listing/251937220/leather-google-nexus-5x-wallet-case
That looks really really nice. Just what I was looking for. Can you please do a quick review if/when you get the case? My only reservation right now is that the case would make an already large phone a lot bulkier.
Yeah I think I might give it a try I'll post some pics and give my opinion if/when I get it
I just got mine last night. It's picture time. I think k it's great. I'll update later to ight.

Okay here they go
The case inside the wallet doesn't fit too tight. This thing smells and feals great.the hand stitching is so tight. I really like this case.
Nice looks great
It's too big to my taste. I regret buying it.

seem like a screen scratcher
Just a side note - I have a very similar case, the fingerprint hole looks to be the same size.
Unless the hole at the back is large it makes the simplicity of using the scanner all the time a hassle.
