o2 flame can detect hard disks or flash drives using usb otg cable.
in file explorer a folder named "hard disk 1" will appear when a flash drive is detected and another folder named "hard disk 2" will appear when another flash drive is detected an so on.
my questions are:
is it possible to make an application that will sync the files stored on one flash drive to another?
is there an existing application that has similar functions? where can i get it?
thanks for reading. hope you can help me. i really need one right now. it's for school.
I'm not completely sure about this, but i think microsoft came out with MobileGroove Beta not long ago.. maybe you can find it.
hey thanks for the reply
but i can't seem to find any info about mobilegroove on the net
I don't know in Windows. In Linux you could use Unison (it's a frontend for rsync).
Works great for me.

Windows 8 USB Problems
Hi! I installed this rom since the cyanogenmod one had been giving me problems and huge slowdowns.
Everything seems to work amazingly, but for some reason can't get it to connect to windows 8 through USB.
It was working with the other rom, now it is detected but it just says Android, like it's not detecting which driver to use, and cannot access as external harddrive nor make it work using adb.
Any help/ideas will be deeply apreciated.

I wanted to answer as quickly as possible, however I am not completely firm on the answer.
I had win8 on my latest laptop for about 10 min when I bought it. I only sorta remember something it was going to be good at. Something about , after a boot, being able to walk backwards into the bios level to drop off various settings. Not unlike, telling it that there is new hardware to be expected next boot?
Please, anybody, jump in here if you want before I find a way to back this up.
Keep at it tho. It would be hard enough to get the answer you want dealing with strait Android+(all of the *.apk combos out there).
Will try.....

TRom's has always been great for random PC stuff http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/windows-8-review,3334-4.html
Here's an update, I managed to make some progress (I was getting error code 28) and found this at stackoverflow:
"If the device is listed in Device Manager as Other devices -> Android but reports an error code 28:
Google USB Driver didn't work for me. You could try your corresponding OEM USB Drivers, but in my case my device is not listed there.
So, install the latest Samsung drivers: SAMSUNG USB Driver v1.5.33.0
Restart the computer (very important)
Go to Device Manager, find the Android device, and select Update Driver Software.
Select Browse my computer for driver software
Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
Select ADB Interface from the list
Select SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface (this is a signed driver). If you get a warning, select Yes to continue.
Done!"
Now I can use adb for debugging but still can't access my device folders (Internal and External SD Cards), maybe I need to change something on my phone configuration (It is already allowing USB debugging)
I'm so ashamed now ... I didn't knew how to activate mass storage.
Thanks for the help!
@wantowan2. Love this ROM and kernel. Was wondering if you could add virtualcdrom support via a few commits please.

HDMI tvout issue
My HDMI tvout does not work via MHL for this ROM.
Could somebody check HDMI tvout via MHL for this ROM?
Hello so i have been googling about it but no info on my specific question.
About the safety of transfering files to/from PC. Where there's a possibility of android get malicious file unknowingly from PC. Where you cant fully sure if the PC is free from malicious file.
I read that some ways to prevent that is. Turn off usb debugging.
Is there still a way of the android to get affected? Also is there any more method to be safer?
Thank you for whoever responded
Hallo Community,
I have three questions which are not related to each other but I did not want to create three (potentially not-so-interesting threads); my setup is a rooted Oneplus 7 (GM1900) with OxygenOS 10.0.11... I'm very new to Android but have some experience in various Linux distributions.
So, here are my questions:
Is there any way to connect an external wifi dongle (at the moment I have the following chipsets available: Ralink RT5572, RT3070 and RTL8187) via OTG to the device without having to apply heavy modifications to the phone? (I bricked it x times trying to install Nethunter, so I stopped this endeavour...); light modifications however are okay... and I would also be willing to buy another dongle if it works and supports monitor mode / packet injection...
Is there any way to use the phone to connect to my laptop (and of course control it) via SSH, VNC, whatever, when my Laptop is not connected to the internet? Any solution (cable, bluetooth...) would be okay; solutions which allow me to access my Laptop via GUI instead of CLI only would be preferred, as some applications that I plan on using unfortunately need to run with GUI...; the use case of which I'm thinking is having my laptop in my backpack and connecting to it via the phone while sitting e.g. in the train...
Is there any way to make a full backup of my rooted device (including apps installed etc.) that I can restore from an external source (cloud, usb, whatever) after I (once again) managed to hardbrick my phone? Of course after restoring the phone with the OP3T Unbrick Tool once again, rooting it and installing TWRP & Magisk...
Sorry if one or more of the questions are stupid but either I used google the wrong way, used the wrong words or just did not find the answers... so please, help me, and have a nice day -- stay healthy & safe!
