Hey guys. I love my Inspire, but like always, it's starting to get a little old to me and I'm getting the itch for something different. I've flashed everything from CM7 to the new Sense 3.0 port... but it's starting to get "same-ole, same-ole". Someone offer a fellow Inspire owner some words of wisdom on why this device is worth holding on to, because quite frankly I "want" to keep it.

Get a Captivate, find out how bad the OS system is, and switch back to the Inspire...
HTC and Apple phones are the best for ATT IMO out of the box...
Or you could go buy a basic go phone with no internet access. Very quickly you will realize that your android isn't as boring as you thought.

Funny you should mention the keyboard... after 6 months, it was the only part of my former crapflip that didn't turn to ****.
The aluminum body on the Inspire is so much more robust than most of the dainty plastic phones it competes with.
IMO, HTC is at the top of their game. Every major US carrier has at least one great HTC.
Quality always bests quantity in my book, though HTC has managed equal parts of both in spades.

This is the honest answer. Once you get used to a phone OS and are able to work your way around pretty much all aspects of it, it becomes boring.
The only options are to either stick with it (maybe due to there not being a better OS in your opinion, maybe due to the app market, maybe due to some kind of hope that something revolutionary will come along that can be done on your device, etc.) or to go try a new OS (Windows Phone VII and iOS still exist)
Dude the reason its so boring is cuz your not utilizing the options. Like me. If I'm at work ill pop on YouTube or a movie and Watch it to speed up the time being or even Pandora. Then on lunch breaks,ill pull out modern warfare and kill some online ass. Then when I go to my classes at 9pm,pull out quickoffice and take notes the easy way. Then email them to myself and start all over. Yell the Andy calculators help Me in my college algebra 2 class. Facebook,flash player,mp3 player,graphical calculators(which run like $100+ from TI) POINT IS....Android rules it all. If u get bored,go onto ustream and stream something live and enjoy it. Ufc or something. IPhone sucks imo,owned that trashed that. And with HTC,updates will be here in no time. Like they said SGS will keep u busy fixing it,rather than enjoying. Reason I posted this is to give example of how to enjoy ur phone,for more than mere entertainment.

+1 guys, thank's for some great (and some not-so-great, haha) responses. I know that if I hop over to another WP 7 or iOS device i will realize why I liked Android so much in the first place, just because of what it can do that they cannot.
I am on the same page, as I believe Android is the dominant mobile OS. I think it's like being married...eh.. and there is that blonde co-ed down the hall. Yeah, it could be nice, but you will always go back to the wife you married... well, maybe.
I suppose I'm just looking over at the other side of the fence, and even though I like what I see, I know when I get over there, I will more than likely want to come back.
Well like I said bud just do other things ya know? The thunderbolt,inspire,even the optimus G2X, all are the same. Just with different UI's. And of course ffc or higher LTE and 4g speeds.

My friend is about to purchase an Inspire 4G. How is everyone's experience with it? I don't think my friend will do any sort of heaving modding with it such as rooting and custom ROMs. Is there lag such as the Captivate that requires the so called "Lagfix"? How is the phone overall? Feedback will be appreciated!

awesome phone, can be lagfix'd if you so choose, it is pretty snappy out of the box but lagfix is a common mod. I'd Odin flash the community kernel if i were him and call it a day, later he can use CWM included in the kernel to flash the upcoming gingerbread based rom that make it feel like a new phone. there is a world.of difference between the included firmware and gingerbread.
infuse 4g is literally the best phone ive ever had, especially if you like youtube and netflix as much as i do
Best phone I've used to date, kicked my G2x to the curb for it. The screen size and color is beastly. Dual core is overrated, you wont be disappointed with this phone.

The phone looks gorgeous although I find myself swapping back and forth from my atrix lately after the latest update from att. He won't regret it though the phone looks super sexy which is why I had to get it. No regrets!

Its an awesome phone its my first smartphone and my sister has iPhone 4 and is constantly bragging on my phone. Just awesome. Advice tho at fry's electronics it is only 119 so skip the att store and go to fry's

My birthday is in a few weeks and I am going to be getting a new phone and I have been looking at this phone off and on.
I am a smartphone fanatic and I've owned a Vibrant in the past before my parents switched over to Virgin Mobile. I currently own a Virgin Mobile LG Optimus V now *gag*
I only got it because it was either the Intercept or Blackberry at the time.
I am considering getting a refurb Galaxy S 4g or just getting a brand new one but i wanted to know...

I was looking at a sensation, but aside from having a great camera on the back...I was not WOWED!. I don't need the latest and greatest but I am growing tired of this POS Optimus V and I Want something that is not too expensive but is a great fit.

Hercules, or even the upcoming HTC Ruby is quite a beast. It's pretty much a white supped up Sensation.
Hi, All I have been a member for what i consider to be a long time. I have been through many phones over the years everything from a HP6315 to a HTC Wizard, HD2(best phone ever) and so on and so on To my Infuse! I have all ways loved XDA! and all ways will! I never had any issues until I came to the infuse thread AND DON'T GET ME WRONG!I love all the developers, roms and contributors!!! Its just that there is so much bickering,rude,mean,angry,upset people and things said. And I think the reason is because we all upgraded or bought the infuse thinking it was going to be the latest greatest phone out there but with the release of the S2 and the rocket etc it wasn't! But I still love the infuse and i be-leave if we all that passion into perfecting our phones and not fighting with each other we would all be happier !!much happier!! So I guess what I am trying to say is lets stop worrying about whether or not we will get a upgrade and concentration on what we have to work with!! I think we all will be HAPPIER!!

The Infuse is still a great phone, but you can't expect for it to stay the best phone for long.
I mean, now with the SGS II and the Skyrocket out, it's not the best, but still a good phone.
Also, you guys have to remember, you've still got the best DAC out there.... that's one hell of an advantage over the SGS II.

With that out of the way, I wanna bid my farewells (for now) to the SK4g board. Today I came up on a MyTouch 4G slide. It's most likely going to have it's benefits and setbacks... a whole new set of gripes hahahaha! Anyways, I wish everybody well I'll be holding onto my sidekick as a backup.
