I believe the dropdown text is an xml edit if you decompile the framework, otherwisr you would need to use a hex editor to change this. I will see if I can find the poat with instructions and post back with a link

I never changed my fonts until i flashed liberty 1.0 and a theme changed the font and after i went back to apex i missed the font so i started to google different fonts and found this forum in xda with downloadable fonts in a .zip file so just flash it using bootstrap

No problem, glad I could be of help. Let me know if you have more questions. I'm no expert, but have a decent knowledge of most of the basics for the X.
cant you just do it like you would on liberty with the liberty toolbox on the market? (if its still there...)
liberty toolbox is for liberty only......
Can someone compile a flashable font pack for me that consists of the Android font? Make sure it's flashable with CWM Recovery. I would love to have that font as my system font. Thanks in advance,
Moose.
-Cyanogenmod 7.0.3
-Stock CM7.0.3 Kernel
-Modded build.prop file(just values that affect HSPA+ speed)

The UOT Kitchen has exactly what you're looking for: http://uot.dakra.lt/
Go there and look under "Fonts".
That's becoming my goto answer, but what an awesome resource!
Sweet thanks.

You wouldn't happen to know which font pack it is would you, there's like twenty.
Just to be clear this is the font I want.

I realized I might have worded my question wrong.

My bad.. I looked in the kitchen and that font isn't available.
But I have you an alternative... download Custom Android Font Switcher from the market. It's an app that comes with preinstalled fonts. The font you want is available. HE'S calling it "Droid Logo" in his list of available fonts.
Select that font and it will apply said font as your system font.
That way you don't have to wait for someone to compile a zip... or at least get you by till some one does.

I use Font Changer Root and then grabbed the font from here;

Easy
+1
Either way will work.

Hi community,
is there any way to get the Helvetica font on our device?
For example with a .ttf file + font changer?
All characters working?
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA
It's much easier to implement a font taken from another ROM. For example I'm using segoe wp on endymion, which is a font from windows phone 7. If you want something like that, search the forums, it's already somewhere.
But I would also like to know if there's any way to import a font with for example an .ttf file

You mean the Segeo font from Endymion Control center?

Not sure what you talking about. In endy control center there is no option to change the font.
And since I'm using segeo wp on the whole system I cannot say what font the control center has by default.

Where did you get Segeo WP?
BTW: You can, when you launch Theme Manager there's an option to change fonts!

When you download a font linked by dan-fish (I'm using those too) you'll get a flashable zip. after unzip the file, there is one folder "fonts" with some simple .ttf Files and one folder "meta-inf" with scripts and files I do not know about.
Maybe its possible to replace the .ttf files with some from helvetica (regular, bold etc.). But I don't know if there are also other changes in scripts etc. needed.

I found this:
http://www.4shared.com/file/Ghm-KHaq/Helvetica.html
Not sure if i'm allowed to post it though. Use it with font changer from the market and it should work. I can't guarantee it though.

Why all the cm9 "addicts" ignore the question: how to change fonts in cm9??
Install Rom Toolbox or Type Face or any other font changer app you find in the market.
if you want to go hard way, those fonts are under /system/fonts. You can delete one of the fonts (e.g. Roboto or DroidSansFallback) and put your desired font there, then rename the font as exactly as the font you deleted. (don't forget to backup).
All the market apps soft brick the phone they dnt support ics. The problem with system fonts is that there are plenty of fonts in that folder and among them is roboto. Question is, how does system know which font you want to set as default...

Replace it with font of choice, but change filename to match Roboto, etc.

The phone keeps bootlooping if you use those apps and even the dev of the app warns you that it does not work on ivs devices. Is it too hard not to post stuff you have not applied yourself on your phone?
If you just keep bashing those who try to help you, you're going to get nowhere in life.

I think that's the stock font that is used by Sony smartphones, but I don't have any idea on it's name. Sorry.

If you mean the clock, i'd say it looks like a light version of Sterk.
