Not sure what happen but lately my phones been acting very slow, I have apps but only one runs in background, is the locservice that works with sim checker, besides that in advance task manager I close everything once phone boots up so pretty much nothing running, also, my phone rings and takes like 5 to 8 seconds for it to light up which sometimes *** the call up,I also have dxtop home , which i hope is not causing it, I did that top command in terminal and yet dont really see anything running in background besides wont let me move up to see anything else so im guessing its ok, so what lese can be cuasing this?
my phones g1 custom theme, rooted, and apps on sd card which its a class 6 card
maybe I should redo my phone? I wiped it out, re rooted it and added the rc33 update to have apps on sd card and nothing else no settings nor apps and used nandroid to back it up so if I have to redo my phone I just have to FLASH it back to default so instead of rerooting and everythign else I just flash it once and its back to defualt rooted and jf custom radio and rc33 and apps on sd rc33
so what can I do? what can be causing this or should I redo my phone? or flash the default images (which will just put it back to basic again before I added anything to save time)
I've applied the market fix to my Charge, and things display properly, but I'm occasionally having an issue with being able to install apps. I'll download something from the market, but it won't go past the installation progress bar and say its complete. If I force-close the market and re-open it, the option to download is either greyed out, or it won't go past the button to accept the permissions. Like the button will register but then nothing happens and I'll be at that same screen.
Once it happens with one app it seems to stop all others from installing too, in either Android Market or the Amazon App Store. Only way I've really found to fix it is to boot into CWM, clear cache and Dalvik cache, reboot, and wait for everything to populate from my sd card. Even then it will often re-occur after awhile.
After clearing the dalvik cache it often takes quite some time for the apps on my sdcard to show up as installed and actually work, despite the media scan showing completed right after I boot. And sometimes I'll have to force a screen redraw to see the icons. I'm also occasionally having a force close, freeze, or system restart, though those are pretty rare.
I'm running EE4 basebands, imnuts PBJ kernel with voodoo (6-02), and the deodexed EE4 ROM. I've flashed the sd card read-only fix, market fix, AOSP lockscreen, and accurate battery mod. I don't know what's going on, but while I love how fast my phone is now, its really getting tiring having to reboot it from time to time just get app installations to work.
I don't know if I should try reflashing everything, or just run GummyCharged. Does anyone have any ideas about what may be going on??

Make sure you don't have any apps installed on the SD card. That causes nothing but problems and lagginess. Settings->Applications->Manage Applications click tab on installed on SD card. Move all apps to internal memory.
Hey everyone, I was using the Pulse app and had the widget for a few days. The other day my phone kinda froze and rebooted. When it came back on the widget was no longer there. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but now there is no widget option... Was this some sort of update and they got rid of the widget for now or is something going wrong here? Happen to anyone else? Thanks!
This happened to me when I did not move the Pulse app from the SD card to the phone. That should be all that you need to do. You may need to now reinstall the app if it can no longer be found on your phone. Make sure to reboot your phone after moving the Pulse app to the phone from the SD card.
(Settings, Applications, Manage applications, On SD card, click the Pulse app, click the Move to phone button, reboot the phone.)
So, about 2 or 3 days ago I downgraded back to Froyo from the latest Gingerbread leak (too many bugs.) I did so with GTG's Ulimate unbrick, and then I flashed the pre-rooted/ pre-CWM stock ROM to it. I updated to the latest UCKH1 to be up to date, and then I restored a backup I made in ROM Manager a few weeks back. After that, I restored all my apps with Titanium backup. Now on to the issues. First time around my phone literally crapped out software-wise. It was literally force closing everything, texting wouldn't work, the Advanced power menu was gone except for Power Off. That only started after a full day of use with no issues whatsoever. It was completely random. Well late last night, I factory reset and put my apps back on again. Well I woke up this morning to find that my phone's suddenly being dumb again. Except this time the only issues that I know of are, the Advanced power menu's gone except for Power Off, and the home button will not function AT ALL. If anyone has any idea what's going on, or how I can resolve this, please lend a hand.

It sound like every time you encountered a problem it was after restoring your app with TiBu. Are you just restoring apps or apps&data? See how your phone runs without restoring apps. Try restoring apps(without data) and see what happens, or just manually download apps again. Could be a problem with data from the apps.

I was wondering the same. I have indeed been restoring apps with data. Didn't want to lose my Cut the Rope progress But, they may end up being my problem. I've always gotten away without issues, so I guess it's about time for one to happen, haha. I'll try it out after work today and post how it goes.

Most likely the problem lies with the backups being from a GB rom and now you are trying to put them an a Froyo rom. Probably saves it differently or something.
They tell you "Not" to use the backups from Titanium as they can cause issues, I reinstalled back to Stock Froyo as well running the latest UCKH1, When you do the Update to UCKH1 my advice is to go to Settings: Privacy: and do a Factory reset to fix the clock problem The clock will appear screwed up and will correct itself even when it's on Automatic Mode. Otherwise all is fine downgrading from GB Rom. Install all normal apps as usual, Screw Titanium my advice is just save the .apk file for the app in a Folder on your External SD Card, that's my quick way of reinstalling all my apps back regardless of losing settings.
you can also use tibu to restore single apps with data, you can try the ones you want to save progress and see if it causes issues. just stay away from system apps
I've never ha a problem with TitBU, as long as I restored "missing apps & data" ONLY!
same here, regardless of android version or even restoring on a different device. the only time i have seen issues is when i accidentally hit restore all apps with data, including system apps. thats when i got the constant fc and crashing

You know, now that I think about it I actually made a backup from UCKJ2. That's more than likely my problem. Funny how I'm looking for all these complicated things and it ends up being something easy. Haven't restored anything, so I'll wait a day or two and see if everything stays like it should, and then I'll restore only what's needed to ensure it stays that way. Sorry it took so long to respond, had work, haha. Thanks guys all the responses were much appreciated.

You should be alright as long as you don't restore data. I think. Lol

So up until recently my built in screenshot with VolDown + Menu worked great, but I just noticed today that it's not saving any of my screenshots. The screen flickers as if it takes the picture, but no files are left in sdcard\MIUI\screenshots. I'm pretty sure the ROM is okay, since it worked before (GB MIUI.us 2.4.6). I downloaded screenshot from the market and tried that, and it was able to save files but they were all black.
Unmounting the SD card works, and then remounting it transfers the screenshots back to the SD card, but doing so everytime is quite a hassle. I've tried fixing permissions, clearing cache, and nothing has worked. Only recent change I can think of that MAY affect this was I installed nenamark2, ran the benchmark, and saved a screenshot from within the app. I've since then uninstalled the app, and no change...
Any ideas?
