[Q] G1 Repurpose, remote mp3 player - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Greetings XDA
I have a non activated G1 with cyanogen 6. I would like to use it as a wireless mp3 player for my stereo system. My ideal set up is, control music from my PC. Send it to my phone via wifi and output to my stereo from my phone. Winamp seems like it can only wirelessly synch music to my phone and other software will play music from my computer, but when I press the play button, i want to do it from my PC and the music plays on the G1. Does anyone know of an app for this?
Key Point: Play mp3 on my g1 remotely from my pc over wifi.

Can I listen to music from my phone through my PC?

Hi guys - Does anyone know if there's a way to listen to music from my phone through the built-in speakers of my PC instead of through the speaker of the phone? Thanks!
Two ways that I know of:
1. Depending on your pc's bluetooth stack you might be able to use a2dp. I use bluesoleil, (not free), and one of the services is 'wireless stereo'.
2. Conduits Pocket Player, (again not free), will run a media server over your wireless network.
Winamp recognizes your WMdevice as a media storage device and you can browse it from winamp.
Thanks. Bluetooth does the work.

Music will not play over bluetooth?

What the hell is going on, i have stereo bluetooths that only sometimes work, the audio just will not route to them all the time, under the check marks it never keeps media checked?
What music player app are you using? I've found that I have to connect the stereo bluetooth headset first before opening the app (I'm using Cubed '3') for it to play through the headset consistently. If I have the app open already, I sometimes have to exit the app through a task manager first. Then connect the headset and open the app. Hope that helps.
im not using any programs just the built in music player and video player
I got the stock music player to work only after I figured out how to get my head unit to 'Forget' my other phone. It was more an issue with the hardware I was trying to stream to. What are you streaming to, and what area are looking in to see these checkmarks? I don't see anything like that in the bluetooth settings...

[Q] PC streaming live sounds to android device

Hello, Im looking for a solution for one problem. I have not working Jack 3.5 in my laptop, so i cannot use headphones wiht it. But i must use a headphones with it. Is there any app, or anything, that allowes me to stream all the things that i do on my pc (not music, but all sounds, even system sounds, winamp and all of that) through bluetooth or wifi to my android device? My bluetooth manager in Windows 7 only stream music from Android phone to pc, and i cannot do it other way. I have Galaxy S and wired headphones, so the only option is to stream sounds to Samsung via bluetooth or wifi. Is there anything that could resolve my problem?

How to assign a default app to use based on Bluetooth device?

Hi folks!
I'd like to be able to control which app is used depending on the Bluetooth device that I am connected to. For example, when I connect to my car, I'd like to play music using Sony's Walkman app (which is my default music player). When I connect to my JBL headphones, I'd like BeyondPod to be the app that is launched when I press play. Is there a way/app to allow me to configure this?
Actually right now I have an annoying issue where I have to press play on my phone because pressing play on my car's radio is not causing the music to start.
My phone is an Sony Xperia Z2.
Thanks!
